You Are A Recent Hire And The Youngest Finance Officer In The State College System. You Just Distributed The College Admission Essay Help

You are a recent hire and the youngest finance officer in the State College system. You just distributed the budget guidelines at the college. On Monday, you found a batch of cookies on your desk with a note from the dean of nursing. The dean wants to meet and discuss new equipment for her program. Later in the week, you find a pair of tickets in your mailbox for a major concert that was sold out in an hour. The VP of Student Services stopped by to see if you found them and then mentioned the new furniture he is waiting for you to approve. You realize they are trying to bribe you to support their funding requests.
On Monday, you return to the office and review the finance office code of ethics and find it has not been updated for 20 years. You want to make sure your staff is providing services in an ethical way. You decide to propose a new code of ethics to present for approval.

Write a 250- to 300-word response in which you do the following:
• Use bullet points to describe language you would use in a finance code of ethics.
• Provide your rationale for making the recommendation for updating the finance code of ethics.
• Describe the implications of a code of ethics for finance staff in higher education.
• Make recommendations for the college to review and update its general employee code of ethics.

Introduction In this session, you have been considering moral-ethical dilemmas you yourself faced or that you know of that you either resolved or failed to resolve, but hopefully learned from. You may never have given much thought to ethical theory nor what ethical premises/paradigms you have unconsciously held. You will be focusing on this case for this assignment: Jane Doe is a nursing student at University X. Jane is in week eight of a course entitled: “Introduction to Ethics”. For the week one discussion, Jane copied work done by her friend John Doe in the same class two months ago (with a different professor). John told Jane it was okay to use his work as John’s professor never checked any work in the class using Turnitin.com. John claimed to have earned an A on the work also. In week two, Jane went to StudentPapering.com and paid ten dollars for a week two essay done by a student (not John Doe) who took the same course four months ago. StudentPapering promises that all its archived work is of excellent quality and cannot be detected as copied. Jane then uploaded an exact copy of the work for the week two assignment. In week three, Jane paid a worker at PaperingStudent.com ten dollars to write for Jane a brand new essay after Jane shared with the worker the essay assignment instructions. In week four, Jane relied on her knowledge of Esperanto. She felt pressed for time and found an article by a professor from Esperanto on the week four topic. She translated Esperanto into English using Moogle Translate, and the translated text served as her week four paper. In week five, Jane was running late again. Jane purposely uploaded a blank paper hoping that she would later claim it was an innocent mistake and not be assessed a late penalty. In a previous course on History, she had done the same (with an earlier paper from the History class rather than simply a blank) and had not seen any late penalty assessed. In week six, Jane took work she did in a nursing course from a year ago and submitted that for her discussion posting in her current class. She simply copied and pasted the work she had labored intensively on a year ago (even though University X forbids this practice as ‘self-plagiarism’). Jane was confident her Nursing instructor never checked that work using Turnitin.com or another method. In week seven, Jane copied and pasted work found on website.com for the paper. Jane did not use any quotation marks or other documentation to show the text was not by Jane. Since Jane’s Ethics professor did not check papers and posting for any issues by using Turnitin.com or another method, the professor graded all of Jane’s work unaware of Jane’s actions throughout the weeks of the class. Jane feels her actions are morally justified both because her economic situation requires her to work too much to devote time to school (although other students are well-off enough to have such time) and her religion forbids cheating, but Jane ignores her religion’s teachings. Instructions Now that you have had an opportunity to explore ethics formally, create a reflective assessment of your learning experience and the collaborations you engaged in throughout this session. You will submit both of the following: A written reflection For the written reflection, address Jane Doe’s and respond to the following: Articulate again your moral theory from week eight discussion (You can revise it if you wish). Propose a course of social action and a solution by using the ethics of egoism, utilitarianism, the “veil of ignorance” method, deontological principles, and/or a theory of justice to deal with students like Jane. Consider social values such as those concerning ways of life while appraising the interests of diverse populations (for instance, those of differing religions and economic status). Discussion 1 Watch a short video of either Rosa or Cyntoia’s story from the documentary, “Girls on the Wall” Essay cheap essay help

Discussion 1 Watch a short video of either Rosa or Cyntoia’s story from the documentary, “Girls on the Wall” (strongly recommended but not available for free online). This website has a few different clips of each woman. After watching the clip from the documentary, explain how her story captures what you learned about the types, frequencies and rates of violent and/or property crime women commit. Use concrete data from class to substantiate your answer!

https://illinois.pbslearningmedia.org/collection/women-and-girls-in-the-criminal-justice-system/#.YBIQVy2cZQI

Discussion 2. How might you explain to someone not studying criminal justice about the rate and reasoning behind women committing property crime? Remember to use empirical data in your explanation.

(Respond to Aaron)Student Answer
Given Cyntoia’s difficult young life we see a pathway an unfortunate one. Her birthmother had her at 16 and drank heavily daily during her pregnancy resulting in possible fetal alcohol syndrome. In addition, Cyntoia experienced abandonment since her biological mother was not a constant in her life. As a young girl she was adopted, and her adopted father was physically abusive mother wanted her “to be perfect”. As a young teenager Cyntoia ran away and found herself in a physically and mentally abusive relationship. Her boyfriend was also pimping her for money.

We know from pervious readings that women offenders are typically low income, undereducated, unskilled, have inconsistent employment histories, and are women of color. These women are less likely to commit a violent crime, unlike men. The women are more likely to commit drug offenses and property related crimes driven by drug and/or alcohol addiction. The pathway defined, women in the criminal justice system have grown up in a single parent household and are more likely than men to have had at least one family member incarcerated. They also endure physical and sexual abuse in their childhoods. (Belknap,2001; Owen1998) Unfortunately, Cyntoia’s pathway has many similarities that led her to the criminal justice system.

respond to student (Ashley)
Our lecture this week talks about how abuse and prostitution are correlated. In one of the clips, we learned that Cyntoia Brown was abused as a child. Her adoptive parents, specifically her dad, would hit her. After running away from home, she was then forced into prostitution by some guy she was living with, Garion McGlothen. The lecture also mentions women committing crimes for means of survival. In one of the clips Cyntoia was asked why she stayed with Garion and she explained how if she left, he would kill her. She had to stay and listen to what he told her because she was afraid he would kill her.

After you read the readings (or listen to audio or watch video) for this week create a post in college essay help

After you read the readings (or listen to audio or watch video) for this week create a post in this discussion where you:

Post the most important point you learned from each reading for this week (in general, each chapter or other piece of content is considered ‘a reading’, but some short articles may be combined to count as one reading as indicated in the module) and explain why you think that point was the most important. There is not only one right answer, it could be the most important because it relates to and extends your own previous knowledge, for example. This is to be a summary of the most important point from the reading in your own words. Do not use quotations at all if possible, or very few if necessary.
End each journal entry with at least one question. It could be a question about what you read/watched/listened to if anything was confusing or unclear, or if the material was clear to you then pose a discussion question (see an explanation of good discussion questions below). Your question(s) must end with a question mark and can be based on any of the readings.
Find a news article related to the topic of this week’s module. Include a link to the article and describe why you think it is related to the week’s topic.
Good discussion questions will prompt a thoughtful in-class discussion amongst your peers. They will not ask students to repeat information from the text, but to relate the material to larger ethical or societal issues, or compare the different readings amongst each other, or ask for concrete examples of the issues in the text as applied to real-world problems, or connect the material to current events of today.

Please consider this and all assignments a professional communication and check your spelling and grammar before submitting it.
Anything posted here may be referenced during class, so please do not post anything you do not want to discuss in class.

Responses average around 300 words and should not exceed 600 words.

This essay should explore the sources, themes, and ideas contained in the assigned book, Black Protest and the Great Migration. It should have a clearly articulated thesis statement early in the essay essay help: essay help

It should have a clearly articulated thesis statement early in the essay and develop a persuasive case for the thesis by using evidence (sources) drawn from the book. While you might want to examine the chapters on World War I and the 1920s from The American Yawp (the free, online textbook available on Blackboard) for context, you should not think of this assignment as a research paper. I am not asking you to find any source beyond those contained in Black Protest and the Great Migration. In fact, I would use any outside source with great care—especially web pages—lest it appear that you are appropriating others’ work for your own. Rather, the point of this essay to is think carefully about the sources that Eric Arnesen has collected in his book, and to write critically and persuasively about them.
PROMPT:
Was the Great Migration a form of political protest, a resistance to oppression, or even a kind of labor strike? If you think it was, would you judge it to be successful? If you don’t think it is appropriate to characterize the Great Migration as a political act, how should we interpret the meaning of the Migration?
REQUIREMENTS:
Your essay should be a minimum of 1000 words (longer is fine, but try not to exceed 1200 words)
You should utilize a minimum of three primary sources from Black Protest and the Great Migration to support your thesis
Citation style is not terribly important, unless you are using sources from outside the assigned book. When quoting a source from Black Protest and the Great Migration, you may simply use parenthesis with page numbers, for example (Arnesen, 112). Any outside source must be cited in Chicago style.
Rubric:
• Thesis; Do you clearly establish the central conclusion of your analysis? Do you take a position with your own voice, and demonstrate your thinking in a clear, systematic fashion? (Scale, 1-10)
• Analysis and Argument: Do you develop your points in a clear and logical manner? How well do you assess the persuasiveness of the article you are evaluating? Do you fairly weigh the essay’s use of evidence, its argument, and its conclusions? (Scale: 1-15)
Evidence: Do make appropriate use of the article to support and demonstrate your thinking? Are your claims and ideas grounded in the article, or they imposed extraneously by you? Do you accurately represent the article? Do you provide reference to specific page numbers when you quote or refer to specific examples? (Scale: 1-15)
• Style and Grammar: You should have a title page, employ page numbers, and use 12 point font (Times New Roman). Are your sentences mostly grammatical? Are your paragraphs complete? Do you use topic sentences and transitions? If you have any particular writing hang-ups, I would strongly recommend writing a first draft and taking it to the Writing Center for a read-through (see https://www.depts.ttu.edu/provost/uwc/undergraduate/index.php). (Scale: 1-10)

The Life of the Buddha The Buddha, or Siddhartha Gautama, is one of the most famous and significant individuals essay help online: essay help online

The Life of the Buddha

The Buddha, or Siddhartha Gautama, is one of the most famous and significant individuals ever to have lived. But for all that, we don’t know exactly when he lived (there are debates about whether he lived from 563-480 BCE or from 483-400 BCE) or the precise details of his life.

Find an internet source that discusses the issues around how we know about the Buddha’s life and discuss them in one or two paragraphs (you can use Wikipedia or any other good website you find).

In your research, you should have found that our earliest reference to the Buddha and his teachings (dharma/dhamma) are found in the inscriiptions erected by King Ashoka who ruled 268-232 BCE (i.e. 200 or 300 years after the Buddha). English translations of these inscriiptions can be found here:

The Edicts of King Ashoka (https://www.cs.colostate.edu/~malaiya/ashoka.html)

On this website, read the 11th, 12th, and 13th of the 14 Rock Edicts, the 3 Minor Rock Edicts, the 5th and 7th of the Seven Pillar Edicts, and the 1st of the Minor Pillar Edicts. Then, just based on this information (as if you knew nothing else), tell what information they provide about the life of the Buddha and about the teaching he left behind (the dhamma). This should be 2-3 paragraphs.

The most important work on the life of the Buddha, much more extensive than Edicts of Ashoka and coming 300 years after them, is known as the Buddhacarita and was composed in the second century CE and translated into Chinese even later. You can find it here:

Buddhacarita (https://web.archive.org/web/20140827205858/http://www.bdkamerica.org/digital/dbet_t0192_buddhacarita_2009.pdf)

Read pages 19-38 that tell of the events leading to Siddhartha’s decision to undertake the Great Going Forth, leaving his life of luxury for the quest for enlightenment. Explain how this account embodies the principles of the Four Noble Truths. This should also be 2-3 paragraphs.

to write an essay explaining and evaluating what you learned in this course The purpose of this assignment is for you to demonstrate your understanding of one of the central debates in philosophy by explaining what you learned about that issue. Your essay must be 2-3 pages, double-spaced, in 12-point font. I will be evaluating your essay based on the following criteria. essay help free

Regarding your content development, you will be graded based on the quality of your writing. I expect you to start with an introduction that motivates the project and plainly states what you learned and finish with a conclusion that both summarizes your evaluation of the position clearly and explores implications or limitations of your assessment. In addition, your essay must have a clear and logical organizational plan as well, with ideas, sentences, and paragraphs building naturally in support of your thesis. To accomplish this, you must make sure your organizational plan would be obvious to the reader, and you must use transitional words, phrases, and sentences to show how your sentences and paragraphs relate to each other and to your thesis. To demonstrate your mastery of the relevant conventions of philosophical writing, you will need to provide a clear and complete explanation of the position you are discussing. In addition, you will also need to provide a clear and complete explanation of the relevant alternative views discussed in the lesson and draw a clear contrast between all of these views. To demonstrate your understanding of the context and purpose of this assignment, you should provide a clear example that illustrates to the reader the relevance of this debate to your life. Your example needs to be realistic, and you need to come up with it on your own. You will also need to explain how the example illustrates the position under discussion. Concerning the appropriate use of sources and evidence, I expect you to explain and evaluate the relevant arguments or considerations from the lessons both for and against the position under discussion, in detail and with clarity. In your evaluation of each argument, you will need to explain whether the premises are true, whether the reasoning is valid, and why you think so. Further, you will need to consider and assess at least one possible objection to each argument and then provide a sufficiently compelling overall evaluation of the argument in light of this objection. Finally, to demonstrate your control of syntax and mechanics, I expect you to skillfully communicate your meaning to the reader with clarity and virtually no grammatical mistakes. Overall, your essay must be clear, with well-developed paragraphs, complete and grammatical sentences, and words chosen for their precise meanings

After reading the following case scenario, explain how the following theories have the potential to impact Carl Fleischer. If you were Carl’s case manager or social worker, it would be necessary for you to be aware of indicators and risk factors that could impact his future. Being aware of risk factors is different than “judging” someone or “stereotyping” them to have a particular outcome in life. Being aware simply means that you are cognizant of possible outcomes due to significant indicators.

a). What is the Looking Glass Theory? (Cooley)

b). How could this theory relate to Carl?

c). What is Success Identity vs Failure Identity? (Glasser)

d). How could the concept of “love and worth” in this theory relate to Carl?

e). After reading both articles in Module 7, how you would describe/explain Carl’s self-esteem?

f). Name at least two ways that you would redirect Carl’s negative self-talk.

CASE SCENARIO:

“Carl Fleischer is a 17-year-old and is sent to the social worker’s office at the high school. He matter-of-factly shares that he is “an underachiever.” He used to get an occasional B in his classes, but now it’s mostly C’s with an occasional D.

When Carl is asked what he likes to do in his spare time, he replies, “I get high and play Xbox.” Further probing elicits one-word answers until the social worker asks Carl about relationships. His face contorts as he slaps his ample belly: “I’m not exactly a sex symbol. According to my doctor, I’m a fatso. He says normal boys my age and height weigh at least 50 pounds less than I do. He also tells me to quit smoking and get some exercise. Whatever. My mom says I’m big-boned. She says my dad was the same way. I wouldn’t know. I never met the scumbag. He left when my mom was pregnant. But you probably don’t want to hear about that.”

Carl won’t say more on that topic, but with more prodding, he finally talks about his job, delivering pizzas two nights a week and on the weekends. “So, if you need pizzas, call me at Antonio’s. I always bring pies home for my mom on Tuesday and Friday nights. She works late those nights and so we usually eat pizza and catch the Tuesday and Friday night lineups on TV. She lets me smoke in the house—cigarettes, not weed. Although I have gotten high in the house a couple times. Anyway, I am not what you would call popular. I am just a fat, slow geek and a pizza guy. But there are some heads who come into Antonio’s. I exchange pies for dope. Works out pretty well: They get the munchies, and the pies keep me in with the heads!”.

Introduction(20points)This section should be at least 2-3full paragraphs, written like an essay. The following are suggested topics, but more topics can be discussed in the introduction.•Required: state the objective(s) of this lab. •Discuss the unit “mole” and explain why this unit is used in chemistry. •Explain how Avogadro’s number and atomic massrelate to “the mole.” •What is molar mass? •Why is the molar mass of a substance important to understand in chemistry? •Be careful not to explain the procedure, data,or results of this lab. •Write a hypothesis: Explain how the theoretical molar mass of a substance can be calculated. At least 2 sources mustbe usedas in-text citations to support scientific information presented in the introduction. Sources must be listed in the “Bibliography” section. Materials(5 points) Listall equipment and chemicals that were used to perform this lab. This does not need to be written in complete sentences.Materials such as pencil, paper, etc. are assumed materials and shouldnot be included. Safety precautions(5 points)Explain all safety precautions taken in this laboratory. Be specific. If any safety precautions were not needed, explain why. Procedures(5points)This sectioncan be written as a list of sequential steps or as a paragraph that summarizes the procedure. “Get into lab groups” or “Gather materials” should not be included. Text should bewritten in 3rdpersonpassive voice (do not use pronouns)and in past tense. Not acceptable: “I poured 15 mL of water into the test tube.” Acceptable: “15 mL of water was poured into the test tube.”
Conclusion(25points)This section should be at least 2-3paragraphs, like an essay. •Explain how the hypothesis was supported or not supported by identifying the data that supports this statement. Do not simply write, “The hypothesis was supported.” Never state that the hypothesis was “proven.”•Identifyany errors or mistakes that occurred during the lab. Explain how these errors/mistakes affect the accuracy and/or precision of the data. These errors should be things that could not have been avoided and are not a result of human error. oFor example, misreading the balance as 23.0 grams instead of 32.0 grams is a human error. This kind of error should be corrected immediately. oFor example, a graduated cylinder shows measurements up to 0.1 milliliters, therefore it is only possible to estimate measurements up to 0.05 milliliters. It is not possible to obtain more precise measurements to the 0.001 or 0.0001 decimal place because the equipment is not made for that level of precision. This would be an error outside your control. oFor example, if a measurement was taken that depends on the reaction time of a human (reading a stopwatch), then this cannot be avoided. There is some level of uncertainty because the time it takes for someone to stop the clock is automatically added in the measurement. This is an error outside your control. •Identify errors or mistakes that were corrected during the lab. Explain how these were corrected. •Identify at least 2 ways the lab procedure could be improved to get more accurate and/or precise data. An improvement such as doing the lab with a “better” lab partner is not acceptable. Focus on ways to improve the lab procedure such as increasing the number of trials done to get an average measurement. For each improvement, explain why it makes the lab betterand makes the data more accurate/precise.•***Any information in this section that was taken from an outsidesource must be cited and included in the bibliography. Bibliography(7points)•At least 2 credible sources are listed in MLA or APA format, alphabetical order. Sources mustbeused as an in-text citationsin the introduction section. •Acceptable sources: oClassroom textbook oSource from Galileo or Google ScholaroAcademic and/or scholarly journal andpeer-reviewed articles
oGenerally accepted science websites: ▪https://www.science.org/▪https://www.nationalacademies.org/▪https://www.sciencenews.org/▪https://www.nytimes.com/section/science▪https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/▪http://www.plos.org/▪http://www.science.gov/▪http://undsci.berkeley.edu/▪http://www.ucsusa.org/•Internet blogs, publicnews sources, Wikipedia, Khanacademy.org, homeworkhelp.com, etc.are not acceptable. •List all sources that were used to help you write this report. •If no sources are cited, the report will be considered plagiarized and will be graded as 0. Other requirements for this lab report: •Readable font (Times New Roman, Calibri, Cambria, Arial, etc.)•Point size should be 10-12 point. •Margins on side paper should be 1.00 –1.25 inches. •Check for grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes before submitting. •Do not write “fluff.” Lab reports should be objective documents and express the main point(s) quickly. •Do not use using pronouns such as I, you, or me. Instead, write in 3rdperson, passive voice.

Complete the required discussion prompt: Background: Darwinism Today the theory of evolution is a well-supported, unifying principle in biology, Essay scholarship essay help

Complete the required discussion prompt:

Background:

Darwinism

Today the theory of evolution is a well-supported, unifying principle in biology, which explains how life on earth began and developed. The scientific evidence overwhelmingly supports the idea that all living things share a common ancestry.

Charles Darwin, a British naturalist, is the person most remembered for his contribution to how the process of evolution works. He wrote a book, published over 150 years ago, called On the Origin of Species, which was very controversial at the time.

His scientific explanation of how evolution occurs was essentially correct but incomplete. On the basis of newer knowledge, and particularly advances in genetics and molecular biology, many of Darwin’s concepts have developed into the more complete modern theory of evolution.

Science and religion

In the 19th century, Darwin’s discoveries made an enormous impact in England, Western Europe, their colonies, and the USA, where Christianity was the dominant religion. Darwin’s theory was seen to be in conflict with the literal interpretation of special creation to be found in the Bible in the Book of Genesis, and even today Darwin’s work raises emotional responses among fundamentalists.

It can be argued that religion does not explain how the world works. Religion is about faith and hope and answers questions about ‘why’. Science on the other hand, is rational and evidence-based and answers questions about ‘how’. Religion and science should not be seen as two different worldviews as they do not provide solutions to the same questions.

What is Social Darwinism?

Darwinism and Social Darwinism have very little in common, apart from the name and a few basic concepts, which Social Darwinists misapplied. The theory that there is a hierarchy of human species into ‘races’ has affected international politics, economics, and social development across the globe.

Social Darwinism is a false application of Darwin’s ideas such as adaptation and natural selection and does not really follow from Darwinian thinking in any way. Social Darwinism is a belief, which became popular in England, Europe and America, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Herbert Spencer, an English philosopher in the 19th century was one of the most important Social Darwinists.

Social Darwinism does not believe in the principle of equality of all human beings. It states that:

Some human beings are biologically superior to others
The strongest or fittest should survive and flourish in society
The weak and unfit should be allowed to die
There was a constant struggle between humans and the strongest always would win. The strongest nation was the fittest, therefore the best, and consequently had an inherent right to rule.

Social Darwinism applied the incorrect interpretation of ‘survival of the fittest’ to human ‘races’ and said that ‘might makes right’. Not only was survival of the fittest seen as something natural, but it was also morally correct. It was therefore natural, normal, and proper for the strong to thrive at the expense of the weak. White Protestant Europeans had evolved much further and faster than other “races.”

So-called ‘white civilized’ industrial nations that had technologically advanced weapons had the moral right to conquer and ‘civilize’ the ‘savage blacks’ of the world. Social Darwinism was used to rationalize imperialism, colonialism, racism, and poverty.

The beliefs associated with Social Darwinism were discredited during the 20th century, as the increasing knowledge of biological, social, and cultural phenomena does not support its basic tenets.

The concept of ‘human races’ is scientifically invalid. Physical characteristics do not relate in any way to mental or behavioral attributes. Many people argue that the word ‘race’ should no longer be used for the following reasons:

Most scientists today would say that there is no such thing as race.
The misinterpretation of the term ‘race’ to classify people has gone hand in hand with contempt for human rights.
Social Darwinism is by no means dead, as traces of it can be found in the present.

Prompts:

In what ways does social Darwinism still exist? List an example
Should we still be using the word race when it has been scientifically proven to not exist? Why or why not?
How have you seen ‘race’ be used to justify behavior? List an example.

please respond to the following post: Destiney Day Unit 8 What is the objective of Occupational Adaptation Practice Model writing essay help: writing essay help

please respond to the following post:
Destiney Day
Unit 8

What is the objective of Occupational Adaptation Practice Model intervention?

The Occupational Adaptation (OA) Practice Model views occupation as providing the means, and individuals will adapt to participate in intrinsically motivated occupations (Rybski, 2019). Therefore, the objective of OA intervention includes an individual adapting their responses in order to participate in desired occupations, likely as result of a dysfunction (Rybski, 2019). Adapting responses to dysfunction, including developing competence and withstanding occupational disruptions, is a key component to OA intervention, as well (Bachman, 2016).

What are occupational phases?

Occupational phases describe the steps and types of adaptation that occur in the OA Practice Model (Rybski, 2019). There are four occupational phases: occupational restriction, occupational augmentation, occupational execution, and occupational spontaneity (Rybski, 2019). The occupational restriction restriction phase is when an individual is limited regarding the use of body parts to complete occupations while the body heals or deals with a permanent loss— this results in compensatory adaptations (Rybski, 2019). The occupational augmentation phase occurs when changing pathology is present; during this phase, education is provided about approaches loads of work that are applicable to affected body parts to promote function use (Rybski, 2019). The occupational execution phase includes forced use of affected body parts with positive modifications that facilitate movement in order to engage in occupations (Rybski, 2019). Finally, the occupational spontaneity phase spontaneous and effective movements occur during occupational engagement — occupational mastery is achieved (Rybski, 2019).

What are the barriers to occupation-based interventions (OBIs)?

Barriers to occupation-based interventions include reliance on protocols that do not have a holistic approach, policies related to insurance reimbursement, limited resources, limited time for quality of care, and complexity of measuring occupational performance (Rybski, 2019). Another limiting factor is productivity restrictions. A study found that occupational therapists relied on care coordination and communication to provide occupational-based interventions; productivity standards limited the ability to implement these practices (Allgier

Taking on the role of the expert in the treatment of schizophrenia or depression, you will prepare a presentation for a group of physicians who are seeking your opinion on the treatment of patients with these disorders. For this interactive assignment you will create and upload a 5- to10-slide PowerPoint presentation as well as a 5 minute screencast of the presentation to share with your peers. For this presentation, select either schizophrenia or depression as the basis for your presentation. Begin by creating your PowerPoint presentation. In the presentation, include information which explains the neurotransmitter theory behind the disorder and how the drugs used to treat the disorder affect those neurotransmitter systems. Evaluate the risk and benefits of treating a patient with the most common type of medication and of not using drugs to treat the patient. In your evaluation, examine issues such as the rate of success with the most common drugs used as well as the incidence of side effects with these same drugs, including mortality associated with drug use. Then consider not using medications to treat the disorder. Take into account the natural course of the illness, the rate of spontaneous recovery, and the rate of mortality when untreated. You may also incorporate the use of other modes of treatment into your evaluation. Your PowerPoint must include your presenter notes in the notes field to indicate what you intend to say during the screencast and well-chosen images to enhance the understanding of your audience. Remember that your screencast will be a maximum of 5 minutes, and use your speaker notes to ensure that you will be able to present your materials within this time limit. (You may access Garr Reynolds’s Slide Tips (Links to an external site.) for additional assistance in creating an effective visual presentation.) Once you have created your PowerPoint, you will create a screencast presentation of up to 5 minutes in length using any screencasting software you choose. One of the following questions will be selected on the day of the examination:

1. Famously, Aristotle classified systems of government by using several different criteria. Describe his criteria and his classification system. Which form(s) of government did he consider best and why? Which form(s) of government did he consider the worst? Why? In what way did his view of optimal governance change in accordance with different circumstances? How did property ownership and/or wealth figure into his classification system? Finally, state whether you agree or disagree with Aristotle’s taxonomy of political regimes.

2. St. Augustine broke with the classical tradition in his understanding of the purpose of human governments. What was the classical tradition’s view of government’s purpose and what was the view that St. Augustine developed to replace it? Why did St. Augustine arrive at his conclusions about the aims of government (i.e. what sociological and/or spiritual realities did he use to ground his ideas)? Finally, in a couple of sentences state whether you agree with St. Augustine, and (briefly) defend your own view of the purpose of government.

3. Niccolo Machiavelli broke with the classical tradition as well, in focusing on power and self-interest as unavoidable aspects of political governance. Talk about what it meant for Machiavelli to take power as the central reality of political theory (and include in your answer at least a brief mention of how Machiavelli conceived of the role of violence in power politics). Describe also how Machiavelli differed from Plato and Aristotle in conceiving of government as being a matter of placating the self-interested desires of agents, rather than being a matter of transforming those self-interested desires into more commendable character states. Use examples as necessary. Finally, interact critically with Machiavelli and state whether you agree or disagree with his assertions about the bankruptcy of ideal theory and the importance of turning to the actual conduct of politics.

Assignment 401 college application essay help: college application essay help

What does the Bible have to say regarding ethical practices in how one approaches doing business? In reading Romans 12:2, we are challenged to transform our minds so that God can focus us toward a good, acceptable, and perfect response to His will. Romans 12:2 states, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (New International Version). Also, Micah 6:8 says, “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

As an example, Chick-fil-A is known for its stance on operating within biblical principles. The franchise believes it should be closed on Sundays (another example of a business closing on Sunday is Kneaders). Chick-fil-A’s website states that the company believes it is entrusted to be a faithful steward in what God has given the organization as a business. The late founder, Truett Cathy, felt the business did more than just sell chicken sandwiches. His scriptural perspective still permeates every franchise even after his death.
