Bias within this New York Times Article? Why/ Why not. scholarship essay help
Prompt: On. September 4, 2003, the New York Times published the news article “Florida Executes Killer of an Abortion Provider.” Ms. Goodnough’s article was found in the main news section, and it reports on Paul Hill’s day of execution.
It is often difficult for writers to remain completely objective, and, at times, their articles or reports can be subtly or purposely biased, possibly enhancing the subject or potentially placing the reader at a disadvantage. Read over Ms. Goodnough’s article, and determine if it contains stated or hidden bias or opinion. Discuss your findings in this well-supported analysis/argument essay. Be sure to provide specific examples.
Here are a few ideas to keep in mind while preparing: Keep in mind the article’s content – who does she interview and refer to most; look at the details she includes; think about the journal (NYT) that published her article and the readers’ demographics. Do you think she has a personal opinion about Hill and his supporters? Ultimately, what do you think she may be trying, if anything, to imply or state?
PLEASE do not summarize the article.

I work for Hackensack Meridian Health hospital in a heart failure unit. We currently use EPIC electronic health record. Maybe a good tool would be to develop a CHF assessment tool completed in admission to check for indicators of CHF symptoms such as BNP level, Ejection fraction, symptoms ssuch as sob, swelling, increase cough, confusion. BAsed on their answer it would flag the nurse to call md to order a set of heart failure medications, such as diuretic (lasix), ACE INHIBITOR AND betablockers. It would also flag when continous fluids are ordered to prevent patients from fluid overload. Some patients come in with an infection and have history of heart failure with reduced EF, and they get overloaded with fluid and then they develop acute chf and this extends hospitals stay.. then it would also flag nurses to get a chf follow up consult appointment within 2 weeks for patients before discharge…. sometimes pt dont follow up and come back to hospital with same symptoms. This is just a thought. do whatever is easier for you as long as its hospital acute care related.

The Paper Itself: This exercise is called a response essay. Looking is not as simple as you may think. essay help online
The Paper Itself:
This exercise is called a response essay. Looking is not as simple as you may think. Rather than merely describe the object, you will want to analyze its form. You need to ask yourself the questions:
“What is this doing? (i.e what associations, ideas or emotions does the work evoke for you)”
“Why do I have this response? (i.e. what attributes of this work (lines, colors, subject matter, expressions) evoke those associations, ideas or emotions)”
The challenge is to analyze a work of art, separating its parts in order to understand the whole. You must resist the urge to merely describe, and instead evaluate the object. Organization of the Paper: (further explanations and examples can be found in the Survival Guide handout)
(a) Write a Short Descriiption of the Work You Have Chosen. Include identifying subject matter or forms, setting or space, color, and medium, artist and current location.
(b) State Your Main Argument. A thesis statement related to the overall effect or meaning of the object.
(c) State (Briefly) the Ways in Which You Will Prove It.
The Main Body (a detailed descriiption/analysis that may include, but is not limited to, the following): (a) Discuss the Medium, the medium’s traits, and the artist’s use of the medium. (b) Discuss the relevant formal elements (i.e.: line, shape and space, composition and relative scale, light and color, style) (c) Discuss the composition (i.e.: unity/variety, balance, emphasis, focal point) (d) Discuss the relationship the formal elements and composition have to the subject’s meaning (or overall effect).
The Conclusion. (a) Restate the Main Argument. (b) Place this work of art into the big picture. Relate it to a larger issue, art-historical movement, etc.
Attach an image of the object (This can be a postcard purchased from the museum bookstore, a photograph, or your sketch. Your own sketch does not need to be professional quality.)
Don’t forget to include the objective information somewhere within the paper: artist (if known), culture, date and period; medium; size; museum. Most, if not all, will be available on the museum label found near the object.
Mechanics of the Paper:
The paper should be approximately 1000 words in length. (give or take 10% – absolutely no more than 1100). This will turn out to be approximately 5 to 6 paragraphs, and approximately 3-5 pages in length
Proper organization, complete sentences, grammar, punctuation, spelling and word choice

Review the following article from Nonprofit Quarterly (2019) How Do Nonprofit and For-Profit Hospitals Differ? It’s Complicated – Non Profit News | Nonprofit Quarterly (Links to an external site.) Think about how and why private, nonprofit and public organizations approach the same problems differently.
Address the following:
Describe how the purpose of private, public and nonprofit organizations in healthcare are similar and different.
• The impact the legal structure of an organization has on patients in the community (if any).
• How the structure of a healthcare organization impacts managerial decisions in allocating resources.
• What is the structure of your local healthcare provider? Did this influence your care decision (why or why not)?
In the United States there are 5,200 non-federally operated hospitals. Of these, 3,000 are not-for-profit, 1,000 are government run, and 1,300 are for-profit (Nonprofit Quarterly, 2019). It is important for healthcare administrators to understand the purpose of how organizations are classified and what the differences of each are. Non-profit healthcare organizations are viewed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as being charitable organizations, meaning they have a charitable purpose and have a strong focus on the communities that they serve. Non-profit organizations are not subject to federal income tax or state and local property tax and are often affiliated with mission-driven religious denominations. For-profit organizations are by either investors or shareholders of a publicly traded company and are not exempt from income or property taxes (Healthcare MBA, 2021). For-profit healthcare organizations need to focus on balancing community services and shareholder profits. This leads to efficiencies in operations, rather than mission, being the driving force to decision making (Nonprofit quarterly, 2019).
Knowing if an organization is not-for-profit or for-profit is important for the community and the staff just so there is an awareness of how the organization operates and allocates its funds, but research has shown that this should not be a concern to patients. According to Healthcare MBA (2021), there is no direct correlation between operational efficiencies or standards of care between not-for-profit and for-profit entities. Both organizational types have been identified as being the best and worst healthcare organizations. There is no data available to support that tax status has any effect on quality of care and management (Healthcare MBA, 2021). Patients can rest easy and have comfort that the care they receive from their community provider will not be influenced by tax status.
Allocation of financial resources does tend to vary between not-for-profit and for-profit organizations. An example of this would be that for-profits allocate more funding to advertising and marketing than non-for-profits. Many argue that this is wasteful spending and takes financial resources away from equipment and training that would positively impact patient care. For-profit hospitals also tend to invest more money into high technology equipment. Because not-for-profits tend to have lower profit margins they are not able to compete. No-profits must commit financial resources to charitable care and community programs that focus on social determinants of health (Healthcare MBA, 2021).
All of the hospitals within an hour radius of where I live are not-for-profit. In an earlier class I learned that there were only a couple of for-profit hospital systems in Connecticut. This makes sense given that Healthcare MBA (2021) explains that a majority of the for-profit healthcare systems are in the Southern states. When choosing which hospital to seek emergency medical treatment from, my decisions have never been based on tax status; it has only been based on hospital ability and reputation. For instance, there is a small community hospital 15 minutes from where I live. Over the years, I have chosen to have my sons treated there for things such as broken bones, lacerations, and sports related injuries that were not life threatening. At one point, one of my sons had a serious head injury with loss of consciousness and I opted to have him taken to a larger city-based hospital due to them being known as a trauma center. The tax status of the organization has never entered my mind as being a determining factor.

Nonprofit Quarterly. (2019, September 3). How do nonprofit and for-profit hospitals differ? It’s complicated. Nonprofit Quarterly. https://nonprofitquarterly.org/how-do-nonprofit-and-for-profit-hospitals-differ-its-complicated/
Describe how the purpose of private, public and nonprofit organizations in healthcare are similar and different:
Hospitals share the primary similarity of striving to provide quality care to their patients but differ on what avenues they pursue to achieve that goal. Nonprofit health organizations focus on long term approaches that focus on care that improves the community (Kahn, 2019). These organizations may sponsor more preventative programs and focus on the low income population within the community. On the other hand, for profit organizations typically have a short term approach that is required to balance the needs of their community/patients and the demands of their investors’ (Kahn, 2019). Having to find a balance between patient care and business, for profit organizations can sometimes have a negative stigma against them regarding prices and quality of care.
One article published through the Lown Institute cited a journal article from Harvard showing that there was a similarity between the share of expenses found between for profit and nonprofit hospitals when it comes to charity (Garber, 2020). In fact, some for profit hospitals had reported more charitable spending than nonprofit hospitals of a similar size. The rate of charitable expenses in hospitals was found to be less dependent on whether the hospital was a for or nonprofit facility, but more so based on what state they are in and what their community looks like (Garber, 2020). This shows that facilities should not just be given a label or thought to be better or worse depending on what kind of organization they are. In fact, some for profit facilities are able to give more charity because of their increased prices.
Structure of my local health provider:
My chosen healthcare provider in Augusta, GA is a nonprofit health system that has many facilities within my immediate area. This organization serves as a teaching hospital for the community and is one of the top providers of quality care. Their status as a nonprofit did not influence my decision but is a nice quality to have as a larger facility. There are a few other hospital systems in the area which creates a competitive environment for these systems which strives them to outperform one another. The quality of care of these hospitals is always improving because of this.

Part I: Quotation Riddle Read the document “Using Quotations” (3 pages), which you can find in our FILES area. a level english language essay help: a level english language essay help
Part I: Quotation Riddle
Read the document “Using Quotations” (3 pages), which you can find in our FILES area. It discusses of the more complex ways to incorporate quotations in your writing, particularly with “ellipsis marks,” which are three spaced periods . . . These are the methods of the English Literature discipline which follow a style called “MLA.” (If you are taking science or sociology-type classes, you may have used a very different citation style called “APA”, but for our English class, you must use MLA).
• New Changes! Since this document was written some years ago, there’s only one piece of information that’s out-of-date. Right now it says when you use ellipsis marks, you must also place square brackets around them like this [. . .]. However, the rules for MLA Style have changed, and now they say it is up to YOU whether to use square brackets or not. Basically, in our classroom, if you think it makes it easier to read, use square brackets; if not, don’t worry about it. (Note that square brackets ARE still necessary when you add words.)
But back to our activity. After you read to the middle of p. 114, STOP reading, and DO the following exercise:
You love the quote by Thoreau at the top of page 113, and you wish to use it in your paper. In order to make the quote’s meaning comes across clearly, you only wish to use part of the last sentence, and to write in your paper “Books must be read deliberately.” But this is not exactly what Thoreau said; he used additional words as well. How can you be allowed to quote only the words you want (“Books must be read deliberately”) while leaving out the rest of Thoreau’s words? Write your answer as a one-sentence Reading Response with the topic title “Riddle 1.”
• Hints: Remember that anything you put in quotation marks must be EXACTLY what the author said; you are NOT paraphrasing when you write a quotation! The only exception to this rule is when you use ellipsis and brackets, so study how to incorporate those.
After you complete Riddle #1, finish your reading. Then, after a few other students post, read their responses and see if you understand their thinking. Starting next week, when you write reading responses, try to show off some of the skills you’ve learned today. If you do, I’ll be impressed! Good luck!
After you write your post, skip a line, and in the same post, finish Part 2 below:
Part 2: Find Your Goddess
Choose one of the below options: Find Your Goddess, or Analyze a Goddess. The first option is a little more playful, but may feel less relevant to you if you do not identify with any “female” characteristics whatsoever.
Option 1: Find Your Goddess: Read an overview of the “Find Your Goddess Archetype” website at http://goddess-power.com/index.htm, then answer the questions at http://goddess-power.com/questions.htm. Post a 120 word minimum response mentioning what goddess ranks the highest and the lowest for you, and to what extent you agree with the website’s analysis of you and the site’s ideology towards masculine and feminine concepts. (After you answer the questions, don’t forget to click on the full descriiption of your goddess, who is hyperlinked at the bottom of the page.)
Option 2: Analyze a Goddess: Analyze and give your opinion on the questions being asked of women on the “Find Your Goddess Archetype” website (read the overview as well) and the site’s ideology towards masculine and feminine concepts. 120 words minimum.
For either option, incorporate at least ONE QUOTE from the website into your response, and make sure at least one of your quotes is edited by you using the ellipsis or square bracket method (described in our document “Using Quotations”).
Website Questions: Note that the directions for the questions are a little confusing. Basically, you are reading over every question (A – G) under every number (1 – 13), and giving it a rating of “3”, “2”, “1”, “-1”, or “-2”, so you’ll need a piece of paper. After you determine your goddess, be sure to click on that goddess’s hyperlink at the bottom of the page so you can read more about her and how she compares to you!

Given recent events and high student interest in the use of force by police officers, this week’s case study assignment will address question #2 from Questions for Review (p.151) at the end of Chapter 6.
How can a national database of police use of force inform policy and impact such practices?
This is a complex question, in that creating a use of force database that informs national policy is not a simple and straightforward endeavor. Issues you may want to consider (not required – just to incite thought): definition of use of force, regional and agency differences, entry, detail and use of data, access to data (public?), police unions, use of force continuums, funding, liability, training, transparency, national standardized policy, internal affairs, etc.

Write a 4 page reflection, double-spaced, on the Sex Wars book, addressing which of the main four stories were custom essay help: custom essay help
Write a 4 page reflection, double-spaced, on the Sex Wars book, addressing which of the main four stories were you most interested in, and why? Each main character (except for Freydeh) was a real person. Make sure you know who they were and why they were important historical figures.
You should consider three or four of the following questions in your reflection:
How are women’s friendships portrayed in this book? What about sisterhood, such as that between Victoria Woodhull and her sister Tennie? How would you describe Elizabeth Cady Stanton’s relationship with Susan B. Anthony?
What are the marital relationships like between Victoria Woodhull and Colonel James Blood, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Henry Stanton? What role does sex play in their marriages?
How does Freydeh Levin create a new family for herself after the loss of her husband, parents, and younger sister? Do you think she was right to enter the kind of business that she did? Did she have a choice?
How do the circumstances of his upbringing influence Anthony Comstock as an adult? Do you find him to be a sympathetic character in any way?
Elizabeth Cady Stanton says, “Slaves have no names but what their masters give them….Similarly, a woman’s name disappears upon marriage because she becomes property too.” What other connections did feminists draw between the abolition of slavery and women’s rights? What obstacles did they encounter when they tried to get abolitionists to support their cause?
Although most women during this time were expected to marry, what advantages did women who never married, such as Susan B. Anthony, have over women who did marry? If you were a woman living at this time, would you choose to marry for security? What if you were impoverished?
Victoria Woodhull accomplished many “firsts” in her life—she and her sister were the first female brokers on Wall Street, she was the first woman to address Congress, and she was arguably the first woman to run for president. How did her views on subjects such as free love hurt her campaign? Do you think a woman running for president today would face the same kind of prejudices?
What hardships did Freydeh Levin encounter as a Jewish immigrant in Post-Civil War New York? How were immigrants perceived at the time? Have these perceptions changed?
Freydeh Levin is thrown into jail for manufacturing condoms. Another character, Madame Restell, is arrested for giving women abortions. What were the moral and legal attitudes toward contraception and abortion in late 19th-century America? Do you think these issues are as controversial today?
Some of the censorship laws enacted by Anthony Comstock’s Society for the Suppression of Vice are still on the books today. What do you think Marge Piercy is saying about such censorship in this book?
Posts must include specific examples and direct quotations from the lecture notes and your textbook. Sources must be cited in proper APA, MLA, or Chicago Style format.
The composition of any paper must be entirely your own work. If the exact words of another are used, even to a limited degree, quotation marks must be used and a documentary reference (a note) given. If information or ideas are taken from another work, although not a direct quotation, you must give credit in the notes as to the source of the information. Failure to give such credit is plagiarism, and is equivalent to cheating on an examination. Submission of a paper which is copied from another work or written by someone other than the student, or which contains fictitious notes, will result in failure of this assignment.

Option #1: Pascal’s Triangle: Paths and Binary Strings Suppose you want to create a path between each number on Pascal’s Triangle. For this exercise, suppose the only moves allowed are to go down one a level english language essay help: a level english language essay help
For this exercise, suppose the only moves allowed are to go down one row either to the left or to the right.
We will code the path by using bit strings. In particular, a 0 will be used for each move downward to the left, and a 1 for each move downward to the right. So, for example, consider the first five rows of Pascal’s Triangle below, and the path shown between the top number 1 (labelled START) and the left-most 3.
This path involves starting at the top 1 labelled START and first going down and to the left (code with a 0), then down to the left again (code with another 0), and finally down to the right (code with a 1). Hence, this path would be coded with binary string 001. This code is then recorded at the ending location on the triangle.
For Option #1, complete the following tasks based on the coding scheme described above:
Determine if there are additional paths between the START (number 1 at the top) and end point (leftmost 3). If so, describe them in words, by tracing the path on the triangle, and as binary strings. Then record all such binary strings at the ending location.
Find and record at least 5 paths using binary strings between the START location and numbers in rows 4 and 5. Compare the binary strings for each number and discuss why those similarities and differences might exist. Also, explain any connections you notice between the number of possible paths ending at each location and the corresponding entry of Pascal’s Triangle.
Discuss what information about an endpoint and the paths leading to it can be gathered from the length of its binary strings and the number of 1s in them.
Explain the addition rule of Pascal’s Triangle in your own words in terms of the path coding scheme you worked with in this assignment.
Note the type of symmetry that Pascal’s Triangle has and explain it in terms of the paths.
Paper must be written in 3rd person.
Your paper should be 3-4 pages in length (counting the title page and references page) and cite and integrate at least one credible outside source.
Include a title page, introduction, body, conclusion, and a reference page.
The introduction should describe or summarize the topic or problem. It might discuss the importance of the topic or how it affects you or society as a whole, or it might discuss or describe the unique terminology associated with the topic.
The body of your paper should answer the questions posed in the problem. Explain how you approached and answered the question or solved the problem, and, for each question, show all steps involved. Be sure this is in paragraph format, not numbered answers like a homework assignment.
The conclusion should summarize your thoughts about what you have determined from the data and your analysis, often with a broader personal or societal perspective in mind. Nothing new should be introduced in the conclusion that was not previously discussed in the body paragraphs.
Include any tables of data or calculations, calculated values, and/or graphs associated with this problem in the body of your assignment.

side note on figure 2:
An important take-away from this article is that it is not the overall dosage given at any one time that improves vaccine efficacy but the number of doses given to an individual. That is to say that the initial dose and boosters provide greater protection than given larger initial doses. The first piece of evidence supporting this takeaway is from Figure 2 in which the multi-dose priming group (Group 1) had the most statistically significant impact on the prevention of infection after CHMI with 40% having been protected after the 28 day period. In addition, Supplemental Figure 1 also provides a comparison of boosted individuals versus not boosted individuals and found that 50% of the participants were protected in Group 1 and roughly 70% in Group 2 compared to their not boosted counterparts. The not boosted group had no significant change to refute the efficacy of a booster on protection. In Figure 3, Groups 1 and 2 also show a higher overall antibody response as a result of the vaccination and a boosted response after booster when compared to Groups 3 and 4. Further exemplifying the importance of repeated exposure to pathogens to immune system response.Figure 2 summarizes the time to parasitemia (in days) for the study volunteers in Groups 1-4 as compared to the controls for each group. This figure seeks to explain the efficacy of the PfSPZ vaccine for each group.

18. Education is as important or more important than it ever has been: 5. No further comments.
19. Work is as important or more important to me now as it ever has been: 3. Amanda’s score for this statement has gotten lower within the last few months because she recently realized that she is in a financial position to be able to retire early if she wants to. Work was very important to her until she realized that early retirement is possible, and now she is re-examining her priorities and how she spends her time.
Most of the responses to the interview questions were as I expected them to be. The most surprising things I learned from Amanda were in regard to the lifespan and health questions. Though she has taken actions to be healthier in the past year, she still does not believe that her healthier habits now will be enough to undo previous damage done in her teens, 20s, and 30s through smoking, an unhealthy diet, and largely sedentary lifestyle.
My biggest takeaway from interviewing Amanda is that priorities shift with age. She was completely consumed by her career for years because she thought that was the only option for her life. Now that she has an opportunity to retire early, her whole outlook on life has shifted, and she is now looking forward to having a more joyful life that is ruled more by pleasurable activities than work.
My interview was with “E”, he is a 65-year-old male, he is recently retired after a lifetime of entrepreneurship, and a career in the oil industry. He has been married to his lovely wife for 43 years. He is a life-long resident of Odessa, and we have been friends for nearly 10 years. My husband and E worked together for several years, and through this connection we began going to church together. E and his wife are great friends who have taken me under their wing over the last decade.
We had a major scare with E several years ago, when he suddenly had to have quadruple bypass surgery. I knew this impacted his day-to-day life but was curious how it would play out in these questions. I was not surprised when this major moment in his life was brought up several times during the interview and played a part in how he answered most of the questions. I was somewhat surprised at how high he rated everything on average. E and I have learned together over the years how precious life is, as he and his wife are a huge part of my support system while and since losing my husband. Having walked that loss together while also walking through E’s recovery made this interview pretty special. He and I unexpectedly shared a few tears during this interview as he got choked up talking about learning what really matters and how short and precious and unpredictable life can be. Overall, this served as a great reminder for me not to get bogged down in the little things, and to remember that is not always what you do, but who you do it with and who you do it for that really matters.

Research Questions Research questions allow researchers to address the problem and fulfill the purpose of any study. Research questions essay help online: essay help online
Research questions allow researchers to address the problem and fulfill the purpose of any study. Research questions must be aligned with the problem(Week 2… attached) and purpose (Week 3… attached) of the study both in content and in wording. One way to begin identifying the best research questions for a study is to try posing the topic as a question. For example, if you are interested in determining what influences a team’s productivity because many teams are unproductive, you may have a hypothesis about the connection of productivity to leadership abilities. Your question might be: How does a leader’s personality affect a team’s productivity?Once you have identified a research topic question, you should formulate two or more sub-questions serving as the research questions for your study. For instance, consider the question, “How does a leader’s management style affect employee motivation? Or, “how does a leader’s positivity influence team productivity?”Ask yourself, “How can I measure or answer these questions?” This will help you narrow on an approach to use for data collection. Here is a checklist to use in the development of your research questions:Did I create several questions closely related to my topic and aligned with my problem and purpose statements? Are my questions measureable or answerable? Is the scope of my questions reasonable for the time and resources I have to complete this research? Will these questions help me better understand some area needing to be changed or improved? Are my questions phrased in a way avoiding leading language such as: “Since children hate homework, how many minutes of after-school work should be assigned?”Are my questions worded to avoid the word “why,” as these are very difficult to answer in any study?Do my questions avoid a “yes” or “no” response, as scholarly research should provide more in-depth results?
Research Question Alignment Tool
Research Question 1 – List the research question.
Variables – List the variables involved in this question, if applicable (include independent, dependent, and extraneous variables).Permission – What kinds of permission will you need to access the data to answer these questions?Research Question 2 – List the research question.Variables – List the variables involved in this question, if applicable (include independent, dependent, and extraneous variables).Permission – What kinds of permission will you need to access the data to answer this question?
Draft two or more Qualitative research questions.Qualitative: Research questions must be aligned with the purpose statement (See attached Week 1 and 2 and 3… for continuity purposes). Qualitative research questions should be open-ended and reflect the nature of the qualitative design (avoid yes/no and closed-ended questions).

Chimel v California
Facts: The police came to Defendant’s home with an arrest warrant for an alleged burglary. The police asked permission to “look around” the house. The defendant refused the request and the police proceeded to search the home anyways. The police also made the defendant’s wife remove various contents of various dresser drawers. The police seized coins and medals which were later used to convince the defendant of burglary.
Issue: Where a defendant is lawfully arrested inside his home, is a warrantless search of the area beyond the defendant’s immediate control constitutional?
Holding: Where there is probable cause to search and there is a clear danger that the items which are the subject of the search may be removed prior to police obtaining a search warrant, a warrantless search of the area beyond the arrestee’s immediate control is reasonable under the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution.
Legal rational: In a 7-2 decision, the Court held that the search of Chimel’s house was unreasonable under the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment’s. The Court reasoned that “searches incident to arrest” are limited to the area within the immediate control of the suspect. While police could reasonably search and seize evidence on or around the arrestee’s person, they were prohibited from rummaging through the entire house without a search warrant. The Court emphasized the importance of warrants and probable cause as necessary bulwarks against government abuse.
is the essence of scholarly discourse. The graduate student should, at a minimum, be given to critical thought in a way that exposes gaps in the literature and offers new insight to more improved methodologies and policymaking. Please respond to the following three posts and cite 3 different sources.
1. Looping structures can be very helpful when coding an application. These are designed for iterative statements that need to happen multiple times. There are several looping structures you can utilize in C , For, While and Do loops, which do you prefer and why?
2.For loops I see the usefulness in each, however I will say that the “For” loop had to be my favorite. One of the things that I most enjoy about the loop is the readability, it allows you to Cleary set conditions and you have flexibility inside the actual For function before you actually get into the statements underneath it. When putting it together I prefer the set up of a pretest for loop. As I said each loop has its usefulness but with my experience in Javascriipt and past coding, for loops are something I’ve defaulted to and it has stuck with me and that I imagine is one of the easier ways to read others codes.
3.C offers several looping structures that we can all benefit from when coding an application. All these looping structures have different features we can use to make our coding experience more reliable. Although they all seem useful, I would prefer to choose “While”. “While” loops are very simple and their syntax is while (condition) . The reason I choose while is because the condition must be a Boolean expression (true || false), which in my opinion is less complicated to create.

Instructional Video Project Assignment Instructions
The flexibility of video allows compression and expansion of time and space, making it a powerful instructional tool. An instructional video should address 3 to 5 specific learning objects for a specific audience of learners. The video you plan and create must be instructional in nature and work to form associations between concepts, provide historical or social examples, or demonstrate how something works.
For this assignment, you will capture a minimum of three separate video segments and then using editing software to edit and merge your segments to produce a quality instructional video with a length of between 4–6 minutes. Make it fun and informative and use techniques to engage your learners. Speaking of fun, the young man in this video sings with himself!! Pretty amazing. See Instructional Video Project Example Michael Jackson Medley Video.
The mark of a good video is the ability to take a person who has very little experience or understanding of a concept and help them reach the learning objectives identified which might include accomplishing a task. If you purchase the game Throw Throw BurritoTM, the instructions within the box invite the players to grab their phones and pull up the YouTube video to see how to play. See Instructional Video Project Example Throw Throw Burrito – How to Play. During this short 4:41 minute presentation, the audience learns how to play and the rules surrounding the game. Sure, the players could have read the pdf instructions, but the video engages the audience and teaches the skills necessary to play the game.
You can see additional examples of instructional videos on the Instructional Video Project Assignment page. Please note that, in each of the examples, points may have been lost based on missing components identified on the rubric for this assignment. Once your video is complete you will upload it to YouTube and share the link as part of the Instructional Video Project Template, where you will describe the following:
The Value for Instruction
In a single paragraph, you will describe the instructional video and your choice to either personally explaining, demonstrate a skill, or teach a concept. Briefly discuss the quality of your video as a valuable resource that you will continue to use.
Focus and Audience
Focus the instruction on three to five specific learning objectives for a target audience. Define your audience in a sentence or two and list the objectives.
In a paragraph, you will discuss how you created interest in your video in order to engage the learner.
Explanation of Use
In this section of the template, you will explain how you plan to use this instructional video with your learners, and you will discuss how the video connects to the standards of the broader curriculum.
In no more than 2 paragraphs with 3-5 sentences each, you will reflect on the process of creating the instructional video, defend the choices you made for video capture and recording (cameras used, etc.), images and sounds, and share why you selected the video editing software used.
Link to Instructional Video
In this portion of the template, you will share the link to view your instructional video.
Types of Shots
You are to include a minimum of 3 types of shots, and these should be thoughtfully planned in order to add interest and value. On this portion of the template, you will identify the time stamp on your YouTube video where each shot type can be found.
The following section provides tips and additional information for the project.
Planning the video
Have an idea. This is important. A good idea is fairly easy to implement and follow. WRITE IT DOWN.
Refer to the rubric for this assignment often. Your video needs to be between 4 and 6 minutes long.
Have a plan. The better you plan the less time the whole project will take. This is true in life in general, but it is doubly so in video editing. Storyboard out your idea. Figure out what shots you’ll need, what environment the shots should be in. Iterate!
a. Do you need any special props or extra hands or expertise to help out?
b. Do you need to use a “green screen or green wall” to achieve the effect that you want?
c. Do you have a preset idea of what you want to say or are you just filming something that is happening spontaneously?
d. What are you going to wear?
e. How much time will it take to film? It will take longer than you think, allow for it.
f. Will you need special sound effects, if so, what are they and where will you get them?
Write a “script” that you can follow and be sure you don’t forget anything. This way you can also do a take a couple of times in case something goes wrong.
Think about your music carefully. If it is important to the film, it is important to keep it in mind from the start. Music is very powerful: use it wisely. Don’t use music for the entire length of the video but do use it to create interest at the beginning, middle, or end. Overuse can be distracting to the learner.
If you are going to use the microphone directly from the camera or video recorder, make sure that the camera is picking it up well enough. You might need a mic or some other plan of attack. Place the mic close to the subject and point it away from (undesired) noise. Sound is often more important than visuals or pictures.
**Always take more film at the beginning and end of every take than you need. It will make editing easier. Give yourself a little extra recorded content to play with.
Once you have written a great plan and implemented it you will likely have unedited video segments with much more footage and content than you’ll actually need.
Implementing the Plan
When videoing, use a tripod whenever possible.
Avoid frequent panning and zooming – it can cause visual distress.
Balanced lighting is important. Get a good contrast between the subject
