Read “Why You Truly Never Leave High School” (2013) and “My So-Karen Life” (2019). Reflect on the themes of identity, race/ethnicity, status, in-group membership, out-group membership, privilege, and shame raised by the authors.

1. Recall a time during your teenage years when you remember being depressed, stressed, or anxious. Remember as much as possible about this past moment. Where were you? What was happening? Who was with you? How did they respond to your worries?

2. During this early depressing/stressful/anxiety-invoking experience, what thoughts do you remember thinking? What bodily sensations did you feel? How were you breathing? What emotions surfaced? What were you worried would happen?

3. If you could go back in time to that experience, as your self today, and have a talk with your younger self, what would you say? How would you offer comfort and reassurance?

4. Knowing what your younger, teenage self was thinking and feeling at the time, what new perspective could you offer? Is there an alternative to your belief system of that past time?

Save these comforting sentiments, as they may soothe you today, too! They may serve as suggestions to transform underlying core beliefs. Notice how this process is similar to several types of psychotherapies.

Assessment Descriiption
The cognitive and educational evaluation is a main data source for MET teams to determine eligibility and placement for special education services. All team members must make decisions and advocate for educational instruction, strategies, and placement based on evaluation report results. Collaboration with parents about sharing evaluation results and seeking consent for special education services is also a required professional and legal element. Teachers should gain valuable skills and knowledge regarding analysis, decision-making, and sharing results that pertain to cognitive and educational evaluations.

Part 1: Formal and Informal Assessment

Read the “Analyzing Cognitive and Educational Evaluation Report” provided for student Adam Gallery. Based on the report, create a table with a column for each formal and informal assessment. Complete the table with the following information, labeling each column and row:

In the first row, clearly identify each assessment.
In the second row, describe how each assessment is technically sound and minimizes rater bias
In the next row, provide a summary of Adam’s results on each assessment that will help guide appropriate educational decisions. (Do not simply cut and paste the findings.)
In the last row, explain why the selected assessment tool is appropriate for diagnosing Adam’s strengths and needs.
Beneath the table, in a 500-750 word analysis, advocate for the appropriate educational decisions for this student based on the assessment results. The analysis should include:

Recommendations for any needed classroom accommodations or modifications, and placement for specific content areas.
Appropriate accommodations for Adam’s assessments or testing conditions, including the use of technology for these accommodations.
Reflection on the role of special education teachers as advocates for students to help students realize and develop their unique talents and skills.
Part 2: Parent Script

Using the “Analyzing Cognitive and Educational Evaluation Report,” compose a 250-500 word scriipt seeking consent for special education services from Adam’s parents. Your scriipt should include a hypothetical conversation (e.g., provide the actual verbiage/wording that would be exchanged) with the parents where results of the MET report are appropriately relayed and specific wording seeking consent for services is included.

Support your findings by citing the “Analyzing Cognitive and Educational Evaluation Report” where appropriate.

While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

A problem statement is the description of an issue currently existing which
needs to be addressed.
 It provides the context for the research study and generates the questions which
the research aims to answer.
 The statement of the problem is the focal point of any research
PROBLEM STATEMENT FORMULATION
What are the key elements of a problem statement?
Problem statements often have three elements:
 the problem itself, stated clearly and with enough contextual detail to establish
why it is important;
 the method of solving the problem, often stated as a claim or a working thesis;
 the purpose, statement of objective and scope of the document the writer is
preparing.
PROBLEM STATEMENT FORMULATION
How to Write a Problem Statement
 A problem statement is a clear concise description of the issue(s) that need(s) to
be addressed by a problem-solving team.
 It is used to center and focus the team at the beginning, keep the team on track
during the effort, and is used to validate that the effort delivered an outcome that
solves the problem statement.
 It has a specific form:
Vision – what does the world look like if we solve the problem?
Issue Statement – one or two sentences that describe the problem using
specific issues. It is not a “lack of a solution” statement.
Method – the process that will get followed to solve the problem..
PROBLEM STATEMENT FORMULATION
How to get started
The 5 ‘W’s – Who, What, Where, When and Why – is a great tool that helps get
pertinent information out for
1. Who – Who does the problem affect? Specific groups, organizations, customers,
etc.
2. What – What are the boundaries of the problem, e.g. organizational, workflow,
geographic, customer, segments, etc. – What is the issue? – What is the impact of
the issue? – What impact is the issue causing? – What will happen when it is
fixed? – What would happen if we didn’t solve the problem?
3. When – When does the issue occur? – When does it need to be fixed?
PROBLEM STATEMENT FORMULATION
4. Where – Where is the issue occurring? Only in certain locations, processes,
products, etc.
5. Why – Why is it important that we fix the problem?
 What impact does it have on the business or customer?
 What impact does it have on all stakeholders, e.g. employees, suppliers,
customers, shareholders, etc?

Part 1: Critical Analysis of the Law

Identify, cite the code, and give a short descriiption of one health law found in the common health care statutes document. For the health law selected, evaluate the following.
Evaluate whether the law is a federal or state law, civil or criminal, public or private. How do you know?
Why is it important to know when a statute has been modified by administrative regulation, court decision, or new statute? How can you find out about these changes?
What are the penalties associated with non-compliance with your law? Why would it be important to you and your organization to avoid these penalties? How could you comply with the law you described?
Evaluate the role of the health care administrator or health information technology administrator in legal compliance.
Why is your role important in preventing litigation and supporting legal compliance?
What tools are available for legal compliance? Name one compliance tool from the Week 12 Managerial Compliance Tools list and describe the tool. Evaluate how the tool would control this risk.
How can you take action to reduce legal risk? (Describe at least one managerial action you could take and how you would use the tool you just described to limit legal liability.)
Part 2: Strategic Compliance with the Law

You are an administrator for Big City Hospital Inc., a large medical center. Your medical center has just received a Summons indicating that a Complaint has been filed in the state district court in your city claiming that Dr. Quick, Nurse Sleep, and your medical center were negligent during a recent surgery.

The claim is that the doctor left before the surgical count, the nurse didn’t notice a missing sponge during the count, and the patient now has an x-ray showing that there is a sponge in the abdomen. The medical records do not reflect that a sponge count was even completed. Your state of Maryland has an arbitration process that has been completed and the lawsuit has started.

As part of the lawsuit, you receive a litigation hold letter requesting that all documents related to the lawsuit be preserved including electronically stored information (ESI).
Why is it important to preserve documents for litigation?
How would you do this? Describe three actions you would take to preserve documents (prevent destruction) for this lawsuit.
What key documents would need to preserve because they relate to what happened?
When a case goes to court, good medical record documentation can make the difference in winning or losing a lawsuit.
How can medical record documentation limit or increase legal liability? What should a strong medical record include?
As a result of this lawsuit, what three actions would you take to improve medical record surgical care documentation including adequate documentation of the sponge count?

Please only use only classroom materials to complete the discussion. This would include the textbooks, weblinks, and the Classroom law library, and Compliance library. I have provided the links for this discussion.

Each team first seeks out a local service provider (or, alternately, a “goods” business that has a significant service component) and develop a service blueprint. Students must read relevant materials uploaded in the Moodle in advance of the due date to complete this assignment. To ensure that each team blueprinting for the different provider, approvals will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis. Teams must also approve that the provider will allow them to take pictures of the service process and/or physical evidence.
As an alternative to selecting a local service provider, your team could come up with a concept for a new service offering, and then blueprint the concept. Teams going with this option must have a unique concept in order to noticeably blueprint it.

It is important for the PMHNP to have a comprehensive understanding of mood disorders in order to assess and accurately formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan for patients presenting with these disorders. Mood disorders may be diagnosed when a patient’s emotional state meets the diagnostic criteria for severity, functional impact, and length of time. Those with a mood disorder may find that their emotions interfere with work, relationships, or other parts of their lives that impact daily functioning. Mood disorders may also lead to substance abuse or suicidal thoughts or behaviors, and although they are not likely to go away on their own, they can be managed with an effective treatment plan and understanding of how to manage symptoms.

In this Assignment you will assess, diagnose, and devise a treatment plan for a patient in a case study who is presenting with a mood disorder.

To Prepare
Review this week’s Learning Resources. Consider the insights they provide about assessing, diagnosing, and treating mood disorders.
Review the Focused SOAP Note template, which you will use to complete this Assignment. There is also a Focused SOAP Note Exemplar provided as a guide for Assignment expectations.
Review the video, Case Study: Petunia Park. You will use this case as the basis of this Assignment. In this video, a Walden faculty member is assessing a mock patient. The patient will be represented onscreen as an avatar.
Consider what history would be necessary to collect from this patient.
Consider what interview questions you would need to ask this patient.
Consider patient diagnostics missing from the video:

Laboratory Data Available: Urine drug and alcohol screen negative. CBC within normal ranges, CMP within normal ranges. Lipid panel within normal ranges. Prolactin Level 8; TSH 6.3 (H)

The Assignment
Develop a Focused SOAP Note, including your differential diagnosis and critical-thinking process to formulate a primary diagnosis. Incorporate the following into your responses in the template:

Subjective: What details did the patient provide regarding their chief complaint and symptomatology to derive your differential diagnosis? What is the duration and severity of their symptoms? How are their symptoms impacting their functioning in life?
Objective: What observations did you make during the psychiatric assessment?
Assessment: Discuss the patient’s mental status examination results. What were your differential diagnoses? Provide a minimum of three possible diagnoses with supporting evidence, listed in order from highest to lowest priority. Compare the DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria for each differential diagnosis and explain what DSM-5 criteria rules out the differential diagnosis to find an accurate diagnosis. Explain the critical-thinking process that led you to the primary diagnosis you selected. Include pertinent positives and pertinent negatives for the specific patient case.

Brittney Griner and LeBron James Overview For this activity, you will consider how your popular culture example could expand best college essay help

Brittney Griner and LeBron James
Overview
For this activity, you will consider how your popular culture example could expand our understanding of different cultures and people. You will also suggest ways that critical analysis can be used to meet personal and professional goals. This activity contributes to your draft of the critical analysis section of your project. It also provides an opportunity to obtain valuable feedback from your instructor that you can incorporate into your project submission.

Directions
In this activity, you will work on the second part of the critical analysis of your example within an area of popular culture. You should consider the feedback from your instructor on the previous activities to inform this assignment. Throughout the writing process, you will support your analysis with reliable evidence from varied sources. You should continue to gather the sources you will integrate into your project. These sources will include two resources from the module resources sections of this course and two resources that you find through your own research using the Shapiro Library. It may be beneficial to identify more than the number of sources required for the project so that you can eventually choose the most useful and credible ones. For this activity, you will assess how the popular culture example you chose could broaden an outsider’s understanding of the cultures or people that engage with it. You will also describe how an element of your chosen example reflects your field of study or profession. Finally, you will recommend strategies for using critical analysis skills for meeting personal and professional goals.

You are not required to address each item below the rubric criteria, but you may use them to better understand the criteria and guide your thinking.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

Integrate reliable evidence from varied sources throughout your paper to support your analysis.
It is important to draw from a more diverse pool of perspectives from varied sources to support the analysis, which is different from the Citations and Attributions rubric criterion.
Reliable evidence from varied sources should be interwoven throughout the paper itself. Citing and attributing sources will be represented as APA in-text citations and a reference list at the end of your work.
You will be evaluated on both criteria.
Assess how the example you chose could broaden an outsider’s understanding of the cultures or societies depicted in it or the people who engage with its popular culture area.
An “outsider” is someone who is not part of a culture or society connected to a particular area of popular culture.
Consider how the example you chose could contribute to understanding others in productive ways that do not reinforce negative representations of other people.
Describe how the example you chose reflects an aspect of your field of study or profession.
Recommend strategies for using this kind of critical analysis for meeting your personal and professional goals.
Consider the skills you have developed in the process of doing critical analysis as strategies for understanding your goals. How might those skills be used to better understand popular culture? How could they be used to address the day-to-day responsibilities or questions faced by yourself as well as practitioners in your field or discipline?
What to Submit
Submit your short paper as a 1- to 2-page Microsoft Word document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Sources should be cited according to APA style. Consult the Shapiro Library APA Style Guide for more information on citations.

Which platforms are the strongest in follower count and engagement?

How the Greek Gods Reflect their Society

Here is a brief descriiption of some aspects of the society of the Greek Gods and Goddesses. Perhaps you recall some Greek myths as well to help you remember how the Greek gods interacted with each other:

Artemis was the huntress possessing her quiver and bow. She was goddess of the moon and chastity. She was a staunch defender of her virginity and those who threatened it met with a fatal end. This happened to Actaeon, who seeing her bathing was transformed by Artemis into a stag and the hounds were loosed on him whereupon he was torn to pieces. Orion the hunter, who made the mistake of trying to remove her robe, was killed on the spot. She was equally committed as well to defending her worshippers and priestesses from assault and rape. Artemis was merciless in defending their innocence.

Zeus was the supreme god of the pantheon, the sky thunder god whose name means “bright.” Often seen wearing a crown of oak leaves and bearing a giant shield. The youngest son of Cronus and Rhea, he escaped the threat of being eaten by his father like his siblings as Cronus when he discovered one of his children would overthrow him. Saved by his mother where he was hidden in a cave, Zeus was raised by nymphs. A fierce foe to those who opposed him, he could be prideful and irritable. When Prometheus stole fire from the gods and bestowed it to mortals, Zeus chained him to a rock and tormented him endlessly in order to make him reveal the name of the woman who would bear a mortal who would be greater than his father. The woman Thetis was revealed to Zeus to be the mother of this child. She was given to Peleus and from their union came the hero Achilles.

Athena was the goddess of both wisdom and war, known for her beauty, grace and air of authority. She was always dressed ready for battle with spear and shield. Accompanying her is an owl the sign of wisdom. Born under miraculous circumstances, she had an adventurous life. In a dispute with Poseidon over who was the patron of the city of Athens. She won the contest with the wise act of planting an olive tree that would bestow the gifts of wood, olive oil and fruit to the citizens of Athens. When Creops the king saw what she had done, he deemed this the better gift for the people in the long run.

Hermes was the messenger, herald and trickster god who invented speech and had the sole privilege of being able to travel between the realm of the living and the realm of the dead. In this role he bore the souls of the dead in Hades. Of his many exploits he was known to have killed a tortoise, then stretched seven strings of sheep gut over the shell to honor the Pleiades. He appeased his brother Apollo with the melodious music from the instrument after stealing Apollo’s cattle, bringing reconciliation between the two siblings.

Aphrodite was the goddess of love, sexual pleasure and fertility. She had sexual encounters and romances with a large number of the gods of Olympus except Zeus and Hades as well as with the mortals Anchises and Adonis.
Select one of the above gods of goddesses, relate the story of their myth, and compare it to a contemporary myth, story, hero or heroine from our cultural storehouse. Is there strong resemblance or divergence from the Greek myth? What does this particular story tell you about Greek society as compared to (some facet of) our own?

Please Note: Each discussion response must have a minimum of 125 words, spell checked, well written and citing references in support of arguments. Be sure to also respond to at least two classmates later in the week (making for a minimum of three posts total. More are encouraged)

FIRST DISCUSSION POST

Athena is known to be a confident, clever, practical woman, and a great warrior. She is known as one of the original feminists, yet remains a virgin. Something we see in Athena that many women can probably relate to today is that she does not need male validation, she stems away from intimate relations with men, and she feels as if these types of relationships and emotions tend to only complicate things (Parish). “Athena is a fearsome queen who brings the noise of war and, tireless, leads the host..she loves who shouts, and battling and fights” (Hesiod’s Theogony, 925-26) (Parish).

In newer stories we hear about Athena the storyline tends to remain the same with few changes. She embodies the same characteristics we see in her original stories. Her wisdom, love of art, and pureness (her virginity), all remain the same.

In doing research about Athena, I found Minerva. Minerva was also a goddess of wisdom and war. In Roman religion, she was known as the goddess of “the professions, arts, and later war” (Britannica). We see the same characteristics in both Athena and Minerva, finding another goddess and being able to read of both of them was super interesting and inspirational. It was useful in seeing that Athena was not the only goddess who was able to stand for what she wanted.
