Response Essay #1:
For Monday, February 28, write an essay that responds to and/or uses and cites Jennifer Boylan’s essay on summer jobs. 2-3 pages double-spaced. Model essay below. It’s called “Service is the Rent we Pay for Living”
Service is the Rent we Pay for Living
I don’t remember where it came from, but I like that quote. At a time when people talk a lot about self-care and pleasure, I may sound like the Grinch when I declare that the meaning of our lives is not derived from what we do for ourselves or what others do for us, but that a life’s worth should be measured by what we do for others, and apart from loving our families, partners, and friends, that service for others typically takes place at work. Work is the central way in which the social web all of us are a part of is formed, and it allows individuals to make contributions to society, which in turn creates feelings of self-worth. Children should learn that work is valuable early in life, and one way to teach that lesson is by encouraging teens to get summer or weekend jobs while they are still in school.
In the short New York Times essay “The Value of a Mindless Summer Job,” Jennifer Finney Boylan reflects on the summer jobs she had as a teenager in the 1970s—selling hot dogs on the Jersey Shore, mowing lawns, working as a teller at a bank—and she worries that her sons might be missing out by doing major-related internships instead. She wonders “whether their summer jobs are as likely to build their characters as their résumés” (Boylan 2). She doesn’t quite spell it out, but I assume she is talking about traits such a perseverance, resilience, and kindness. I am sure some of the customers at McDonald’s are annoying, but working there one would learn quickly how to be able to treat all customers with respect and not take rude behavior personally, important life lessons.
2 of 4
Another important issue Boylan addresses is social inequality. She feels that working an entry-level job makes people aware of class privilege, which is why it is especially important for teens from privileged backgrounds to work. We live in a society characterized by enormous socio-economic inequality and even full-time employment doesn’t guarantee a comfortable, safe life, especially for people with families to support. Lots of people who work full-time remain poor while a few individuals are paid astronomical sums for their work. CEO Tim Cook’s pay was over 1,400 times the average Apple worker’s in 2021. And then we have these co-called Social Media “Influencers” who don’t work at all but make millions for posting trivial, absurd, misleading, or obscene “content” on the Internet. While a few CEOs and celebrities are paid astounding salaries, lots of people work back-breaking jobs on construction sites or in restaurants and hospitals for just enough money to pay the bills. What’s troubling, in my experience, is that most people who have cushy jobs or are lucky enough to be supported by their parents or a spouse don’t think that’s a problem.
This inequality and lack of respect for workers might have to do with the fact that work per se is not valued. The only careers that are respected are those of highly skilled, well educated, successful professionals: doctors, lawyers, software engineers, entrepreneurs, athletes, and performers, but I suspect that we admire them only in part because of their qualifications. I think we admire them because they are well paid. But what about all the other not so well-paying jobs all of us depend upon in our day to day lives? Not everyone can or wants to go to school for years and years to get a fancy degree. And not everyone is a maverick with a special gift. I don’t see anything wrong with that, and I think mowing the lawn and selling hot dogs are a perfectly

legitimate pursuits. I agree with Boylan that such “so-called stupid jobs” aren’t stupid at all (Boylan1).
Not every service that is important requires special skills; but if it is important, then we should value the person who does the job. The other day I had to get groceries from the store even though there had been a snow storm and most of the sidewalks were still covered by a foot of snow. Halfway to the store there was a young man from the Parks Department shoveling snow adjacent to a City playground. As I walked past him, I thanked him for shoveling—work that doesn’t require an education or special training but can be very exhausting. He looked surprised. If he had not been there, I might would have ended up in the snow. The way I see it, anyone who does something useful should be treated with respect, earn a living, and get opportunities to grow. I doubt that young man will be shoveling snow five years from now, but if he did, I’d still think that he performs a very valuable service and should get paid a decent wage.
The sooner teenagers learn that work is not an annoying chore to be avoided or something we do solely for money, the better. I am in favor of youth employment programs for everybody and applaud our new mayor, Eric Adams, who wants to build such programs.

2) Which of the two final bids is more attractive at the current stock prices of QVC and Viacom? Which of the two bids would you accept? Why? Is there any way you can use the current and / or past stock prices to figure this out? Think of how the stock prices of QVC, Viacom, and Paramount will change when it becomes clear who will win.

Case Study Analysis due March 26th 2022 Please follow all instructions! best college essay help

NO PLAGIARISM

PLEASE NOTE BEFORE READING: 1) This report is based on a  Case Study which is attached. 2) There is no required number of  sources; please just include how many you want. 3) The page limit is 5  pages MAXIMUM; please feel free to go under this amount if you want but still make sure to fulfill every requirement. 4) There are a lot of  instructions; please read them carefully. 5) As you will see in the instructions, you will have to include charts or graphs, but this information can probably be found online. Please cite as needed.

INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE PROFESSOR:

Read  the case thoroughly before you begin the analysis. The assigned cases  are intended to give you practice in assembling data to support a decision. It should be emphasized that the case method of learning does  not provide an answer to the problem being addressed. In most case  discussions, several viable “answers” will be developed and supported by  various participants within the total group. It is usually the case  that a single “best” course of action is not obvious at the time the  decision has to be made; if that situation was common, business  decision-making would be easier than it is! At the same time, some  courses of action are better supported by the case facts than others. In  addition, while what actually happened is sometimes known, in no way  should this be interpreted as the correct or incorrect solution. What is  important is to develop a framework that will lead you to recognize the  best options available. In preparing the cases, don’t look for a single  answer. Each case will raise a number of issues that need to be  evaluated. A good recommendation is one that is based on solid analysis  and considers multiple courses of action.

Basic Structure (10%)

– A cover page with your name, the case name, the date, the course name and number

–  A 5-page maximum analysis that discusses the key strategic issue, alternatives, recommendation, and implementation/action plan

– Page numbers

– Appendix (additional to the 5-page limit): appropriate chars/graphs (always refer to the charts in your; bibliography

– Grammar

Case Breakdown

Problem Identification – (25%)

– Key Strategic Issue/Problem Identification Section (1/2 to ¾ page)

– A brief background of key relevant information/facts pertinent to the case (usually no more than 3-4 sentences). The goal here is not to provide a summary of the case but to identify the key information/facts presented in the case.

– 1-2 sentences succinctly describing the one primary key issue/problem facing the organization.

-The statement should be direct and actionable (i.e., the problem must be stated in some way that the organization can take action to solve the problem). It should also be strategically focused, not tactically or operationally focused. One way to determine whether an issue is strategic is to ask yourself “what happens to the organization within the next 3-5 years if the issue is not addressed?”

If your answer is “not much” then it is probably not a strategic issue.

3-5 sentences describing the best case, likely case, and worse case scenarios if the strategic

issue/problem is not addressed (i.e., no action is taken). 1-2 sentences for each scenario.

– An Alternatives section (25%)

o Provide an alternatives section to address the key issues (typically 1-1.5 pages). Alternatives must be strategic, and they must be mutually exclusive. For example, two alternatives for an issue could be to

a) buy the competitor, or b) not to buy the competitor – obviously the organization cannot do both. You will usually develop at least 2 alternatives in an analysis. Rarely, if ever, is “do nothing” or “continue to do what they are doing” a strategic alternative for a case.

– For each alternative briefly detail the alternative (1-3 sentences) and then:

– Discuss 2-3 strategic advantages of the alternative (1 to 2 sentences for each advantage)

– Discuss 2-3 strategic disadvantages of the alternative (1 to 2 sentences for each

disadvantage)

– A Recommendation section (20%)

– A Recommendation section where you select 1 (and only 1) alternative from the list above as the recommendation (typically ¼ to ¾ page) – this answers the question of “what should the organization do?”

– Describe 1-3 key decision criteria and/or assumptions, with rationale, that will serve as the basis of the decision (2-3 sentences)

– State the recommended course of action (from your list of alternatives) and possibly provide a little more elaboration of the recommendation beyond its description in the alternative section (1-3 sentences)

– Describe why the recommended course of action is the best alternative and the weaknesses of the other alternatives that prevent them from being selected as the recommendation (2-4 sentences)

– Describe the goals and objectives of the recommendation (2-5 sentences). This must include 1) a stated time frame for achieving 2) appropriate specific goals (profit, market share etc) 3) expected costs and benefits

-Implementation/Action Plan (20%)

o A section discussing the Implementation/Action plan (typically 1.5-2 pages) – this answers the question of “how should the organization go about achieving the recommendation”. This is in many respects the most important part of the entire case analysis. This section describes how the organization should go about making the recommendation happen. This section needs to be described in as much detail as possible given the constraints in the case. When you are missing specific data, fill in using sound business judgement. Items to include (this is not necessarily a complete list):

– Description of specific activities that need to be undertaken

– Assignation of responsibilities

– Costs of each activity

– Time frames for each activity

– Measures of success/failure for each activity

-Possible coordination issues

– Possible obstacles/impediments that need to be considered/dealt with to successfully implement the recommendation

Some additional thoughts and comments –

1) Harvard cases must be limited to the time period in which the case occurs. Many people want to

employ solutions that might be appropriate today for a case that takes place in the early 1990’s. For

example, suggesting that the company establish CRM technology and utilize big data for solutions is

impractical for a case that occurred in the 1990’s. In general, the cases contain all the information

needed to conduct a case analysis- you should not step beyond the scope of the case in writing your

analysis.

2) You cannot read a case once and try to offer a solution. Nor are the solutions “hidden” in the case.

You will have to do considerable research

3) Some cases contain an abundance of information, while others contain a dearth of information- just

like real world decision situations. One of the primary goals of case analyses is to force you to make

sound decisions with the information at hand. You will be graded based on the soundness of your logic

and business thinking. You will not be graded on whether you the “right answer” since cases rarely

have “one right answer”

4) It is expected that you will “fill in” details (i.e., make reasonable assumptions) in a case analysis as

long as you are exhibiting sound business thinking. It is not acceptable to simply create details that

have no basis in reality or that do not exhibit sound business judgment.

5) Be as specific as possible, especially with in the recommendation, implementation/action plan sections.

6) Another primary goal of writing case analysis is to communicate effectively and efficiently. Most

senior managers do not have the time to read a poorly stated/an or poorly thought-out analysis.

A 5-page analysis requires that you write succinctly and clearly. Every word counts.

A business must understand the consequences of ethical and legal issues stemming from whistle-blowing activity by its employees. This can been seen in the Pierce v. Ortho Pharmaceutical Corp. case.
Surveying the interests at stake in the case, the Pierce majority states: “[W]e must balance the interests of the employee, the employer, and the public. Employees have an interest in knowing they will not be discharged for exercising their legal rights. Employers have an interest in knowing they can run their businesses as they see fit as long as their conduct is consistent with public policy. The public has an interest in employment stability and in discouraging frivolous lawsuits by dissatisfied employees.

The Flash It happened one day, at a crossroads, in the middle of a crowd, people coming and going. I stopped, blinked: suddenly I understood nothing. Nothing, nothing about anything: I did not essay help free: essay help free

I stopped, blinked: suddenly I understood nothing. Nothing, nothing about anything: I did not understand the reasons for things or for people, it was all senseless, absurd. I laughed.
What I found strange at the time was that I had never realized before; that up until then I had accepted everything: traffic lights, cars, posters, uniforms, monuments, things completely detached from any sense of the world, accepted them as if there were some necessity, some chain of cause and effect that bound them together.
Then my laugh died. I blushed, ashamed. I waved to get people’s attention. “Stop a moment!” I shouted, “there is something wrong! Everything is wrong! We are doing the absurdest things! This cannot be the right way! Where can it end?”
People stopped around me, sized me up, curious. I stood there in the middle of them, waving my arms, desperate to explain myself, to have them share the flash of insight that had suddenly enlightened me: and I said nothing. I said nothing because the moment I had raised my arms and opened my mouth, my great revelation had been as it were swallowed up again and the words had come out any old how, on impulse.
“So?” people asked, “what do you mean? Everything is in its place. All is as it should be. Everything is a result of something else. Everything fits in with everything else. We cannot see anything wrong or absurd.”
I stood there, lost, because as I saw it now everything had fallen into place again and everything seemed normal, traffic lights, monuments, uniforms, towerblocks, tramlines, beggars, processions; yet this did not calm me, it tormented me.
“I am sorry,” I said. “Perhaps it was I who was wrong. It seemed that way then. But everything is fine now. I am sorry.” And I made off amid their angry glares.
Yet, even now, every time (and it is often) that I find I do not understand something, then, instinctively, I am filled with the hope that perhaps this will be my moment again, perhaps once again I shall understand nothing, I shall grasp the other knowledge, found and lost in an instant.

Question 1: God is omnipotent, omniscient, and morally perfect. If God is morally perfect, then if it is impossible to secure a great good without permitting an evil, God will not desire to eliminate that evil. That we have free will is a great good. But it is impossible to secure the existence of free will in us without permitting evil to exist. Therefore, if it is impossible to secure a great good without permitting an evil, God will not desire to eliminate that evil. And this is impossible. So God does not desire to eliminate all evil. Question 2: Human beings are not equal—within a limited range we differ in strength, intelligence, and desires. If we seek some characteristic that all humans possess, it will have to be some lowest common denominator, pitched so low that no human being lacks it. The catch is that any such characteristic, possessed by all human beings, will not be possessed only by human beings. If there is no morally relevant characteristic difference between humans and some non-human animals, then if all humans have moral status, so do some non-human animals.

(1) Firstly, it is absolutely critical that you synthesize an assortment of the course readings. Not just from this cheap essay help

(1) Firstly, it is absolutely critical that you synthesize an assortment of the course readings. Not just from this week but rather, you must approach the response in a way that incorporates the array of course readings we’ve covered thus far. There should be at least 4 different sources from the course listed in your response. Do not include outside sources–only use assigned readings from the course. Simple references to the reading without any connection to your own commentary/thesis statement will not suffice. There must be a critical connection to your own thoughts and ideas. Use the readings as an anchor. Don’t just plug it in out of convenience. Reference to sources can either be in direct quote format or a reference to the author’s ideas in your own words–but either way, you must cite.

(2) Citations must be present–both within text as well as in the form of a works cited at the bottom of your submission. Citation formatting must be in MLA format. You must have properly formatted citations. Please google if you need guidance in figuring out what that looks like.

(3) Response must be 750 words (that’s 3 pages, double spaced), not including your works cited/bibliography at the bottom of your submission. You will write your response in a Word document to make sure you meet the word count/page number requirement, then you will copy and paste your text into a discussion board thread box directly. You will NOT be attaching any documents but rather, you will submit as you would in a discussion board forum. Text size must be 12 font, Times New Roman. Papers less than the required 750 words will result in a deduction. I will not grade anything that is in the form of an attachment and if you do so, it will result in an automatic zero.

(4) Remember to check for critical depth. Your response must extend beyond obvious surface level points. Instead, drawing connections between the readings, applying the course concepts and theories accurately, and developing your own thoughts with a strong anchoring in concrete detail from the readings themselves is imperative.

Here is the prompt:

So far in the course, settler colonialism has been explored from a variety of perspectives and disciplinary positions. Those perspectives shift depending on who is doing the theorizing, their racial-ethnic identity, gender, geographic location, and disciplinary expertise, for example. It’s crucial to know who is doing the theorizing when approaching the texts. For this assignment, the first step is to research the background info of the authors we’ve covered thus far (including Fanon) and examine how their varying identities and geographies have shaped their conceptualization of settler colonialism. How might Fanon’s paradigm of settler colonialism challenge the framework of Wolfe, for instance? What makes Fanon’s perspective distinct? What makes them similar? And to what extent should those similarities and differences (make sure to identify those similarities and differences) be acknowledged in terms of how we make sense of settler colonial violence? Do you think that despite those differences, that there should be a shared framework for which to situate all contexts of settler colonial violence? Or do you think that we should be more mindful of the contextual differences and that there should be context-specific definitions? This is a prompt that requires you to do a comparative study of the various perspectives we’ve covered in the class so far and in response, to draw your own thoughts and ideas about how one should approach definiing settler colonialism given that there are many factors at play that shape the narratives and theoretical formulations of settler colonial violence. There is no right or wrong answer, but your own thoughts must be anchored in support from the readings (in other words, back up your statements and have a clear thesis statement that articulates your position).

Reflect on the concepts you have learned during your readings pertaining to the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS). There are many times that the hospital will be involved in an emergency situation, either internally or externally, requiring the establishment of a HICS (e.g., during a pandemic or an active shooter/threat situation). In preparation for your reflection paper, consider the questions below.
What are some of the necessary steps that would need to be taken regarding the establishment of HICS and triaging any incoming patients to your hospital?
How would you communicate with local agencies that are willing to assist you during times of extreme circumstances during an active shooter/threat situation with multiple victims being transported to your location?
What do you understand completely?
What did not quite make sense?
You are not required to answer these questions in your paper, but think about them while formulating your responses to the prompts below. The purpose of this assignment is to provide you with the opportunity to reflect on the material you have read and to expand on it. If you are unclear about a concept, either review it in the eTextbook, or ask your professor. This is not a summary but, rather, a reflection paper is an opportunity for you to express your thoughts about the material you are studying by writing about it. Reflection writing is a great way to study because it gives you a chance to process what you have learned and increases your ability to remember it. Use the guidelines below as you reflect on the course material and respond to the following questions in your paper.
What are your thoughts about the main topics pertaining to HICS?
Why are these topics or concepts important in the emergency services management field?
Can you apply them to a personal life situation that you may have been involved in when responding to an emergency, working with hospitals, or working with other agencies? How?
Your reflection paper should be at least two pages in length. Use your own words, and include citations and references for other articles as needed to avoid plagiarism. Adhere to APA Style when constructing this assignment, including in-text citations and references for all sources that are used. Please note that no abstract is needed.

In case of plagiarism and late delivery, the assignment will be CANCEL Read the scenario below and answer the six questions under the “ Considerations to discuss and answer” section. Child we work with at school, to support through the loss of his Dad: Carlos (age 6) Mom: Molly Big Brother Theo (soon to be 15) Two sisters: Ginny and Lily (twins, age 11) Carlos is in Grade one at Meadow Grove Junior School in Mrs. Damon’s class. He likes his teacher a lot. His closest friends are Paul, Vinny and Jahmal. After school every day, Carlos goes to day care at a local community centre; he and a few other students are picked up by Wendy, a worker at the day care. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, Carlos attends soccer practice after Vinny’s Dad picks him and Vinny up from day care. His sisters also take ballet lessons at the community centre on Wednesdays. They are good friends of Jahmal’s sister, Jolene, who also goes to dance. The mothers take turns transporting the girls. Theo is also a great soccer player, and is a volunteer junior coach at the community centre, but for a different soccer team than the one Carlos plays for. Theo is excited that Carlos is playing soccer, and he encourages him to practice and do well. Sometimes on Saturdays, they will watch professional soccer on television together. Every Sunday, Molly, who is originally from Ireland, and who has been living in Canada for 20 years, takes her family to church, and afterwards they head to Molly’s parents home for a family dinner, where Carlos and his sisters play with their cousins all afternoon. Theo sometimes misses these occasions, now that he is working as a junior coach, but he feels it is important to have a job, and is hopeful that when he turns 15, he will be promoted to Assistant Coach and be paid, instead of volunteering his time. Carlos’s Dad Javier, died of cancer when he was four years old. It’s been a hard couple of years as the family adjusts, and with the support of their family and friends, things are now getting a bit better. They still stay in touch regularly with their extended family who all live in Peru or California. The grandparents connect at least once a month through skype as do their uncle and his family who live in California. The family hopes to visit Peru in the future, and all the children take Spanish language classes as Molly wants to make sure her children can speak with their Peruvian family and maintain a cultural connection. Molly herself is fluent in both Spanish and French, and she would like her children to follow in her footsteps. Molly often tells the children stories about their Dad, and they have lots of photos of him in their home. Carlos hopes to be a great soccer player one day, just like his Dad and his big brother, Theo, and his Coach tells him he has potential. Considerations to discuss and answer: Who makes up the micro-system? What is currently impactful for Carlos in the techno-subsystem? What relationships exist in the meso-system? Who/what is important to note in the exo-system? What can be included in the macro-system? Think about the timing of life events in terms of Carlos’s age and stage of development, as well as what might be happening in his world. Include your thoughts about Carlos being a bi-racial child. Think of at least three noteworthy influences you would want to be aware of as a CYCP. Given what you now know, what are the strengths of the family? What are some natural support systems?

In case of plagiarism and late delivery, the assignment will be CANCEL!! You are a Child and Youth Care Practitioner in the Community and you have a connection to Derek’s school. You have been asked if you could please support Derek. This is what you have been told by the Principal, who is concerned about Derek: . Derek is 12 years old and is behind in school. His parents are divorced and his father recently moved far away and does not support the family. Derek lives with his mother and a younger sister in a small apartment in a community connected neighborhood in the City of Toronto. His mother works two jobs to make ends meet, and often works extra shifts late into the evening. Derek is the caregiver of his little sister at night and in the morning when his Mom works late. Derek’s teachers report that homework and projects are rarely done or completed on time, and that he often argues and raises his voice when asked about incomplete schoolwork. He tends to keep to himself in class. . You make two visits to Derek’s home, meeting his Mother both times, as well as his sister. You report back to the Principal that you are very optimistic about Derek’s ability. You believe his family has some resiliency to help them through tough times. Initially, the Principal wants to make sure you are not being overly optimistic and you therefore list some of the family risk factors. 1. Given the following definition, what Internal and external Risk Factors can you list for Derek? RISK FACTORS are: Conditions that deny or minimize opportunities and resources for a child an place him/her in jeopardy of failing to become a meaningful member of home, school, community . Internal (within the individual) .External (conditions in the environment) 2. Then you go on to describe for the Principal what you discovered on your home visits. Given the following definition of Protective factors, what did you discover were Derek’s Internal and External protective factors? ( use your imagination to think of possible protective factors and also refer back to the description you heard for some clues ). PROTECTIVE FACTORS are: Protective factors are buffers to help individuals find resources, supports, and strategies that help them function effectively, even under stress. Building protective factors is based in the idea that individuals, families, and communities have strengths. List Internal Protective Factors for Derek: (examples: Ability to take control, be proactive, make decisions, Take responsibility for decisions made, Understand and accept limitations and strengths, Goal directed and realistic, when to persevere and when to quit, Positive outlook ,Developed coping and stress reduction skills ) List External Protective Factors in Derek’s life (Caring relationships, Positive and high expectations, Opportunities for meaningful participation) 3. As the CYC working with this family, what else could you do to promote and ensure resiliency? Remember from the lecture: Children need three sources of resilience: . “I Have” – external supports such as relationships, structure, and role models . “I Am” – internal, personal strengths such as feelings and beliefs . “I Can” – social and interpersonal skills such as communicating and problem solving What might be some of the signs you saw that confirmed for you that Derek and his family have resilience?? ( what do resilient families have?) 4. You are working with Derek and you are helping him complete the sentences above. What can you imagine he would say to complete these sentence starters….I have, I am, I can?

Topic – The evolution of ransomware in the cybersecurity space.

Write an individual paper (6-8 pages, single spaced, 11 point font, normal margins) on a particular topic. Graphics (optional) make the paper more readable and count towards the page count. Evidence of both research and personal insights on the topic are important. You are free to undertake an in-depth investigation of any topic that relates to information security or forensics. A list of potential (but not exhaustive) areas is below; if you need additional assistance in selecting or refining a topic area, please discuss with the instructor. Multiple students can choose the same topic but must work independently.

You are encouraged to use all available resources (e.g. academic journals, white papers, practitioner journals, newspaper reports, websites, textbooks, etc.). Where references to external sources are used, please cite at the end of your report, using whatever format you prefer. The list of references does not count against the 8 page maximum, but all other exhibits, illustrations, and appendices do count against the maximum. I recommend embedding any graphics within the body of the report (not at the end).

The structure of your report is up to you and should be adjusted depending on the nature of your topic. However, the following areas should be addressed (these can be the sections):
◦ What is the topic (general descriiption, definitions, brief history, importance)?
◦ What are the important cyber security and/or forensic issues (threats, actors, politics, etc)? Please discuss them.
◦ What are the best ways to protect your assets?
 Overall
 Specific to the topic
◦ What you predict will be the future of the topic? Will it grow or diminish in importance and why?

Discussion Post: Social Movements and Conflicting Visions

Some historians define what we have come to think of as “the sixties” as beginning in 1957 with the launch of the Soviet Union satellite Sputnik and ending in 1974 with the resignation of President Nixon.

Many remember ’the sixties’ as an era of free artistic, political, and individual expression, but it was also disruptive and violent. The subsequent rise of conservatism can be seen as a natural reaction to a society that appeared out of control.

By Day 3

Post at least two paragraphs in which you respond to the following:

Select one leader of the conservative movement discussed in the resources for this week.

Describe the leader’s goals. Be specific.

Describe which area of civil disruption the leader wanted to change. Be specific.

Explain whether or not you think this leader was successful and why.

Based on the Japanese tourists’ activities in Vietnam, as described in the case study, which other domain(s) of multicultural competence should Vietnamese hosts address when learning how to interact successfully with Japanese tourists? Explain each domain and what the learning should be and why. (Ch 16)

base on this case study
CASE STUDY 16.1 One Practical Solution to Overcoming the Language Barrier
Japan is among the top three international inbound visitor markets to Vietnam. Japanese visitors love to listen to Vietnamese traditional music, buy traditional crafts, and enjoy the specialties of well-known Vietnamese chefs. Although Japanese tourists are keen to experience the Vietnamese culture, the language represents a cultural barrier to this market. When in Vietnam, Japanese tourists prefer to communicate in their mother
tongue and demand Japanese language-speaking tour guides. However, in Vietnam there is a shortage of qualified tour guides who speak Japanese. There are only two professional guides serving Japanese tours in Hochiminh city (ITPC, 2005). One of the reasons is the lack of education and training of Vietnamese tour guides. The school programs do not respond to the needs of the Vietnamese tourism industry. Students are lacking practical knowledge of industry operations and do not learn languages of their international visitors. Dealing with the demanding Japanese tourist market is more difficult than dealing with other international tourist markets. The ability to communicate in tourists’ native languages is a prerequisite for working in the tourism industry. Tour operators should provide their employees with foreign language courses, language scholarships, and internship opportunities. To become qualified tour guides, industry employees should learn about tourist cultural behavior and language.

Project 2: Nations Behaving Badly Step 15: Develop Final Forensic Report college application essay help: college application essay help

There are many digital forensic tools and techniques available to conduct an end-to-end forensic investigation. An end-to-end investigation tracks all elements of an attack, including how the attack began, what intermediate devices were used during the attack, and who was attacked. A typical investigation will involve visual analysis to statically review the contents of any drives, as well as dynamically review logs, artifacts (strategies for handling digital artifacts), and internet activity from the web history associated with the breached network (web browser forensics).

The investigation concludes when the investigator examines all of the information, he or she correlates all of the events and all of the data from the various sources to get the whole picture, and prepares reports and evidence in a forensically sound manner.

In this scenario, you know that there has been an attempted/successful intrusion on the network, and you have completed the packet capture analysis using Wireshark. Your task is to write a Final Forensic Report that summarizes network forensics and the digital forensic tools and techniques for analyzing network incidents. This report will include your lab report from the previous step and should also be composed of network attack techniques, network attack vectors, and a comprehensive comparison of at least five tools used for analyzing network intrusions. This report will conclude with a recommendation for network administrators to meet the goals of hardening the infrastructure and protecting private data on the network.

To avoid confusion, please add a comment to your submission, e.g., “I am a member of team [xyz]. [Student name] will submit the deliverable for our team.”

Support your answer with information from the assigned reading for this week.  Remember…writing counts!
1. Consistent inappropriate behavior
Amanda is constantly disrupting class.  She talks loudly to others while you are teaching.  She flirts with the boys who sit on either side of her, distracting them from their work.  She passes notes and sighs and coughs loudly when you are giving instructions. You decide to use the five-step intervention process in this situation.  Describe how you would use it and delineate its advantages and disadvantages.
2. Consistency
You’ve been thinking about your procedures for managing student talk.  You realize that your students aren’t following the expected procedure, which is to raise their hands and receive permission before speaking.  You recognize the fact that the reason is probably from your own inconsistency.  What might cause this type of inconsistency? What are your options for handling this situation?
