Focused vs. Comprehensive
I believe this would be a focused assessment because it primarily focuses on focused concerns and specific body systems (Bickley, 2021). With the information provided, the assessment includes chief complaint, symptoms of the complaint, pertinent negatives, and previous medical history. Some of the information I placed in multiple categories because I thought they were pertinent to both. For example, I placed the no fever or changes in vision in both histories of present illness and review of symptoms. This is important for HPI due to pertinent negatives of the patient’s condition. This is also important for the review of symptoms because the patient expressed more details on his HEENT exam.
Other Systems to Assess
Other systems I would assess are HEENT, cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological. In regard to cardiovascular and respiratory, it is important to address these systems for every visit and assessment. Any changes in these two systems could indicate immediate issues or complications. I would also review the neurological system due to the location and severity of the patient’s pain. I would especially want to address the patient’s neurological status such as her alertness and orientation, reflexes, and movement. I would also ask additional questions such as “when did these symptoms start?” and “What helps alleviate the pain?” Another important aspect to research is the patient’s travel experience. She may have gotten ill due to some type of bacterial or viral exposure on the trip.

Annotated Bibliography and Reflection
During the last seven weeks of class, you have been asked to read several journal articles. You have also been asked to reflect on your cultural identity as you consider the many levels that constitute your identity. You also considered attribution, dialectics and how all of this is applied to interpersonal communication. For our final assignment, you will choose four articles from the articles you have been asked to read in class and/or from the article list provided for the Week 6 assignment and you will complete three items for each.
1. Complete an APA reference for the article
2. Complete an annotation of the article.
The annotation is not a summary or paraphrase. In this paragraph, you will interpret and evaluate the contents of the article itself. It is a narrative paragraph of about 100 words providing information and assessment about the article.
3. Write a reflection of your own intercultural communication connecting the information from the article as it applies to you personally (This section only can be written in first person).
In this paragraph of about 100 words, relate the information that you have evaluated in the article to your own cultural identity and intercultural communication. This is a reflective piece where you are able to connect the information in theory to an understanding of your own identity.

Hospital executives often come under scrutiny for the salaries and benefits they receive. According to a recent IRS survey related custom essay help
Hospital executives often come under scrutiny for the salaries and benefits they receive. According to a recent IRS survey related to chief executive officer salaries, of more than 500 hospitals, the national average income was $490,000. In addition, the salaries of hospital and other health industry executives have come under scrutiny in Congress. For-profit hospitals, which make up about 30% of hospitals, do not have to publicly disclose how much the executives at each facility earn, but nonprofit hospitals must provide that information on the IRS form 990, which are public documents. By law, hospitals are required to show that such compensation is “reasonable” when compared to pay at other similar institutions. If you were a board member of a healthcare organization, what other determinants besides the salary of other chief executives would you want information on before you determined the compensation of the chief executive of the health care organization whose board you are on? In addition, how do the responsibilities of chief executives compare to the responsibilities of other healthcare employees? Do these responsibilities warrant a substantially higher salary? Defend your answer.

Play: August Wilson’s Fences
Choose ONE of the following questions:
According to Question One about Fences on page 1281 in the Mays’ textbook, “…August Wilson describes Fences as revolving so completely around its central character [Troy Maxson]…” However, Rose is also an important character with a significant narrative. Write a two to three-page essay in which you explore how Fences might be more Rose’s story than Troy’s. In other words, make a claim that focuses on Rose. Maybe discuss how Rose’s life does not actually center as much around Troy as he thinks. Or maybe discuss how Rose represents not only African American women in pre-Civil Rights America, but all lower middle class and poor women. How could she have “…[left] some room for me” (1279). Another possibility would be to compare the generations of women – Rose, Troy’s mother, Raynell.
Critic Harry J. Elam, Jr. coins the term “racial madness…that suggests that social and political forces can impact the black psyche and that decades of oppression can induce a collective psychosis.” Elam claims that years of racial injustice and oppression influence Troy’s decision to prevent Cory from playing football. In a two to three-page essay, contrast Troy’s goal to “go down swinging” to the goals of Rose, his sons, Gabriel, and Bono. Address the difference between how Troy thinks about the American Dream, and racial injustice the way the other characters think about it. Better to narrow your contrast between Troy and one or two characters.
Must be two to three pages in length.
Must include at least two literary analysis sources from LINCC (you can use ones I post) addressing the play.
Must include Works Cited page with entries for literary analysis sources and the play.
Must include direct quotes from the play and in-text citations for secondary sources (page numbers in parentheses).
*An essay that fails to incorporate literary sources from LINCC or a paper that fails to include secondary research analysis sources or to document sources (in-text) throughout the essay will automatically lose all 40 mechanics points. Remember that a paper that has a Works Cited page and fails to document every citing is technically a plagiarized paper.

Hello classmates and Dr. S,
When determining whether you have found a good source it is important to consider if it is scholarly or credible. Ensuring that the source is reliable is important as well. “Reliable sources in academic research are usually primary sources” (Lee 2013). This can be found in peer reviewed articles. The benefits of using peer reviewed journal articles over a website is evidenced in the amount of time that is invested by peers and being known for the most references or citations. According to a link in Purdue owl “Responsible, credible authors will cite their sources so that you can check the accuracy of and support for what they’ve written. (This is also a good way to find more sources for your own research.).” One of the drawbacks to using peer reviewed articles would be having to pay for a subscription to view the full spectrum of information available.
While it can be time consuming or come at a price in some instances to find credible information, it is especially important for students to do so rather than relay on all to easily convenient websites that we have readily available at our fingertips such as Wikipedia. Reason being most of these sites are not going to be accurately informing. Wikipedia is not a credible or protected site and can be edited by anyone. While I know not to trust everything I read or hear, I must say that being new to all of this myself, this was an eye-opening experience for me while doing my research on this topic. I found myself looking through different sites and came across Wikipedia many times. It shows how easily we can be misinformed or given dated information that may have changed substantially over the years. I look forward to gaining more insight on this topic and getting feedback from others on their personal experiences.

It’s important to think critically about how gender plays a role in the way we produce and consume stories, images, words, and characters. This will help us gain a better understanding of the world around us, help us decide whether we think certain representations promote the types of values we believe in, and help us come up with ideas for how we might work to change things for the better.
As you look through the media in this Module and in the readings, use them along with this overview as building blocks and avenues to dig deeper into this facet of identity and ask questions. Please answer these prompts:
How are masculinity and femininity represented in the media?
What specific images and words contribute to our understanding of what masculinity and femininity mean?
Does the media make assumptions about what men/boys like and how they (should) behave? Are there similar assumptions made about women/girls?
What impact do such media representations have to children as the grow and develop?

Title page and reference page do not count as part of the 5 page requirement. They are additional and required pages. Students should write directly and formally in standard English. Students may use personal examples and to support your points with these examples when appropriate. Make sure your papers reflect university level writing skills including: using complete sentences; developing your paragraphs; checking spelling and grammar; putting together a paper that reflects quality; citing all sources in APA style; completing all required sections; keeping strictly within the established page limitations. Step 1: Pick a Topic
Select a community group to study. Some examples of community groups you might explore include:
An activity-based group like a book club, a soccer team, or a community choir
A religious or ideological community such as a church congregation or a local political party
A community organization like a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), a neighborhood association, or the volunteer committee at a local soup kitchen
An identity-based organization such as a social club for veterans or a fraternal type organization
It should be a group in which membership is voluntary and recreational. Avoid:
Ethnic or racial categories
You might wish to choose a group that you are a part of, or you might not. You can use your personal experience with the group to form the basis of your research question. Or you can ask members of the group about their experiences, which will help you develop your research question.
In the template, write a paragraph (approximately 6-8 sentences) describing the community group you have chosen. In particular, be sure to answer the following questions:
What is the community group?
What are the attributes or characteristics of this community group? (e.g. What activities does this group do together? What element of the members’ interests or identities brings them together? How is membership in the group defined, if at all?)
What kind of experience with or access to this community group do you have?
Step 2: Ask a Question
Next, you will formulate a question related to this group, and to topics related to diversity and/or collaboration. You might think about diversity in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, socioeconomic status, or along multiple intersecting identities. Be sure to use what you learned in Unit 1 about the ways sociologists ask questions.
What are the challenges of a mom’s community organization in appealing to moms with children of different ages?
How does a group of car enthusiasts reach out to the surrounding community to get support for their events?
How has the Boy Scouts accepting girls impacted their mission and programs?
Do gender segregated sports teams for kids help maintain traditional gender roles?
In the template, write the question you have formulated for your study. Be sure to identify the Independent and Dependent variables and identify them correctly. (HINT: Refer back to Lesson 1.3.3: Asking Questions and Lesson 1.3.5: Formulating a Hypothesis for help.)
Step 3: Prepare a Bibliography
Finally, you will begin developing a bibliography for a review of the existing literature that relates to your question. Before conducting a full literature review, a sociologist will build a bibliography, or a list of potential sources that they will read and study in greater depth in the review.
Collect 4-6 articles, books, or other resources that relate to your question and list them in your template. You don’t have to look into these materials in depth right now! You’ll review this literature more closely in a later Touchstone, and you will also be exposed to additional relevant research and frameworks in Unit 3. You’ll also be able to add to or amend your bibliography before your Touchstone in Unit 3.
Attributes of good readings for your literature review:
They are academic, scholarly works about research findings or they are reliable journalistic reporting based on scientifically credible and reliable data.
They should have been published in the last 10 years—unless they are a landmark work on the topic and provide important background or as a comparison.
They look at different sides of the argument and a variety of perspectives.
Where to find readings: More than likely you will use a major search engine like Google. Start your search by asking the question you want to answer and identifying key search terms to generate relevant results. You can limit your Google search to works that have been published in the last 10 years. You can also use a search engine like Google Scholar that specifically searches scholarly literature. However, keep in mind that much of this literature may have limited or paid access. Another good place to search is in a public or university library catalog or database. Whichever way you choose to search, make sure that you are selecting credible sources.
What makes a source credible? Credible sources are written by authors who are well known in their field. They are based on scientific data—not opinions or with biased observations. Sources should be from reliable outlets, like major publishers, universities, think tanks, and credentialed current practitioners. (HINT: Refer back to Lesson 1.3.4: Researching Existing Sources for more guidance.)
How to format sources in your bibliography: Sociologists use American Psychological Association (APA) format for their research. However, you will use a more simplified method to format sources for your bibliography. You will include five key elements for each source, with each element separated by a period:
Title of the source
Page numbers (if applicable)
Source’s location for web-based texts (URL)
