The Student Will Design A Teaching Plan For Chaining For A Child Or Adult Who Is Living With A College Essay Help

The student will design a teaching plan for chaining for a child or adult who is living with a significant learning challenge. This assignment does not require you to implement the teaching plan that you create.
Process
The student can design the chaining plan for either a real person or a composite person. Be sure to indicate in the introduction which option has been chosen.
If you were actually doing this plan, you would choose a real person and include a statement of confidentiality at the top of Page 1 your report and separately submit a signed consent form. Please note, students who choose to do the assignment by referring to a real person may change the name and identifying details, but do not need to get consent. Thinking of a real person tends to obtain higher overall grades in the assignment because you are working with authentic observations and information. eg. thinking of a 5 year old you know, vs a 20 year old you know would naturally change the number of steps: more mature people typically require less steps.
Whether you chose to do the assignment with a hypothetical person in mind or someone you know, please take a little extra time to describe who the person is at the beginning of the assignment but hide identity. Choosing a person you know who has a developmental disability makes the assignment richer. Think about the condition they have and what their strengths and needs will be before you begin describing the steps in the task. Another option is to go to YouTube and search for videos showing the abilities of a child with exceptionalities. That will help make it more real for you. If you choose this, indicate URL and identify the person in the video(s) you watched.
This assignment will be about three typed written pages. Include a title page and page numbering. Use all of the major headings that are listed below as a way to organize your report. The report must be clear, concise and be well written grammatically. Professional presentation is expected.
Assignment Format
1. Title Page, Presentation, Organization, and Grammar (5 points)
2. Introduction (5 points) While maintaining confidentiality, describe the individual for whom the plan is being designed. This should be no more than one paragraph and should include information such as gender, approximate age, level of independence, descriiption of current environment and other pertinent information. Indicate if the person is real or a composite.
3. Target Behaviour (5 points) In a few words and using objective language, describe the behaviour for which you plan to design a teaching plan. Explain why this behaviour was chosen in a sentence or two. Remember that you are not to use the plan to teach the skill. but rather you are to design a potential chaining teaching plan.
4. Teaching Strategy (5 points) Indicate if your plan will use forward, backward, or total task presentation. Justify why this target behavior is appropriate for chaining, then justify your choice of chaining method. One paragraph is sufficient.
5. Chaining Teaching Plan (20 points) You need to provide the following:
* a hierarchy of assistance (provide an example of each prompt type even if you later justify excluding a type of prompt).
* a task analysis
* a list of each SD for each step in the task analysis (each step should be written briefly with one verb if possible. The Sd controls what the prompt is directed at. Be specific and sensory. eg. feel the gum in mouth; hear the bell ring; see the paper towel)
* justify the number of steps you chose for this individual
* explain how you will use prompts and how you will fade
* explain when you will provide reinforcement and what the reinforcers will be
6. Reflection (10 points) In three paragraphs, reflect on what you learned during this assignment.
* Explain why you think your teaching strategy could be successful if it was implemented. This means, go into more detail about why was forward chaining, backward chaining or total task presentation correct for this task and individual plus explain why the other two chaining methods are less appropriate than the one you chose.
* Since you developed a chaining plan, give two examples of behaviours that you would use shaping as the teaching strategy for the same person. Explain why these two behaviors are needed for this individual and justify why shaping is appropriate.
* Describe what you learned about chaining and shaping and how this may impact your future professional assisting endeavours.

Spring 2021; Single System/Subject Design (SSD) Project

The purpose of this assignment is to increase your familiarity with the single subject design method and to build your confidence in your ability to use this type of assessment in social work practice. This assignment will be due March 23rd, 2022. Please submit the report via the Assignments Tab on Canvas.

Instructions for project:

You will be evaluating yourself or someone you know for this project. Choose ONE target behavior/feeling/thought of the person that you will attempt to change. For example: cigarette smoking, soda intake, checking Facebook, lateness, sleeping problems, weight loss, etc.
Choose an intervention that will assist you in making that change
Define the target behavior/feeling/thought that you attempt to change in measurable terms by creating two measurable indicators (can be measured by frequency, magnitude or duration), e.g. ounces of soda in a day.
Your indicator(s) must be specific enough to be measured and can be measured frequently. Select a behavior or thought that has the potential to have a wide range of values, not just if it happens or not (yes/no).
Create a graph with X and Y axes. The Y axis will measure your operationalized indicator for each attempt (what happened with that behavior/feeling/thought), the X axis will measure what day/trial this happened. I will circulate an excel file for you to plot the graph.
Take baseline measures for at least 5 days every day/times of your operationalized indicator.
After baseline, implement an intervention that is aimed at changing your target behavior/feeling/thought, and continue to measure it for at least 10-12 days to track the changes.

Instructions for the report (Approximately 6-8 pages narratives, 1-page data graph)

Background—Suggested length: 1 page
Briefly describe your study focus. Describe, in general terms, the current challenge that this single subject design is focused on improving (what changes are you seeking, and why?)

Methods— Suggested length: 2 pages
Describe the target behavior/feeling/thought that you are seeking to change. Justify why you want to address this target behavior/feeling/thought.
Describe how you operationalize this target behavior/feeling/thought into an indicator (frequency, magnitude, and duration). Justify why you operationalized this indicator in this way (for example, why frequency rather than magnitude; did you create a scale to measure magnitude, etc.?)
Describe your intervention. What is your step-by-step intervention plan? Describe any challenges you have encountered (e.g., difficulties sticking to the intervention plan, frustration, self-consciousness, etc.). Describe any positive experiences related to the intervention that occurred while conducting the intervention plan.

Findings/Results — Suggested length: 1 page for data and graph and 1 page for narrative summary
Paste the data to create a graph from your excel file.
Summarize your findings – report the scores for baseline and intervention and compare the averages; note any significant changes or trends visually from the graph. Did you achieve your goal; was there any improvement in your targeted behavior/feeling/thought? What factors may influence the results?

Discussion— Suggested length: 1 page
What were the strengths and weaknesses of your project in terms of research design (AB), intervention, and data collection methods? Why? Were there any reliability or validity/reactivity problems?
Would you say your intervention was successful or not? Why or why not?

Conclusion— Suggested length: 1 page
What was your overall evaluation of this experience? Did you like the experience? Do you think it was an effective way to make a change in someone/your life? What were the benefits and burdens of using this type of intervention for you? Now that you have practiced this type of research design, what are your thoughts on its applicability to social work practice?

References– Cite your sources using 3 APA publication style for in-text citation and reference list.

This essay has two parts, 1) Audience Analysis and 2) Rogerian Argument Essay. Include both parts in your Essay college essay help online

This essay has two parts, 1) Audience Analysis and 2) Rogerian Argument Essay. Include both parts in your Essay 3 document.
First, choose an issue from the SIRS database (Links to an external site.) for your argument essay. Here is an SC library video explaining how to use the SIRS (Links to an external site.) database to choose an issue and to find basic research sources. Next, choose a specific audience for your essay, and write an analysis (about 200 words) of that audience. What specific group of people might need to be convinced about this issue? Discuss their major assumptions, values, authorities/influences, and affinities.
Second, write a well-reasoned, Rogerian argument, directed to your chosen audience, on your chosen issue from SIRS.
Writing Guidelines
Research your chosen issue using such resources as those in the Shasta College library databases (such as SIRS). Make sure your sources are strong, reliable sources. Wikis, poorly researched websites, and clearly biased sources are not strong sources for most argument writing purposes. You must cite at least two sources. Also, consider what sources your audience might deem reliable, and use these if possible.
State whom your audience is, and address that audience directly throughout the essay. You may use 2nd person p. o. v. judiciously, and only on this essay.
Your essay should be guided by a thesis statement asserting your major claim/conclusion on your chosen issue. Clearly set forth your issue/question, and clearly answer it with your thesis/conclusion.
Example 1, argument to a state legislator: Although California seatbelt laws and safety seat laws exist for some good reasons, the state government should relax these laws because they restrict individual freedoms and limit the mobility of poor families.
Example 2, argument to the state commission on school lunches: While eating Twinkies may be unhealthy when eaten in mass quantities, moderate Twinkie consumption is healthy, posing no serious health risk to the majority of consumers.
Example 3, argument to a sports executive: The Los Angeles Heavy Metal Angels, the NFL’s newest team, should hire a female kicker to boost ticket sales, to promote gender equality, and to distract the public from the NFL’s head injury problems.
Your essay should support your thesis statement with good reasons and sound evidence. Use clear, precise language and appropriate qualifiers.
Follow the Rogerian argument (Links to an external site.) approach. Find common ground and shared values. Make reasonable concessions, respectfully refute/rebut opposing points, and build a positive relationship with your audience.
You should write a minimum of 1,200 total words (including the audience analysis), typed in 12 point Times New Roman font.
Use MLA format throughout, including in-text citations with sources cited on a Works Cited page using MLA documentation style.
Writing Process: You should first write a rough draft of this essay and work with peers in the peer review discussion and, if needed, writing center assistants to make your writing better and build a final draft. Critique and advice from your peers (and the writing center) should guide you toward completing your best final draft. I am eager to read your well-crafted, Rogerian arguments!

Subject Topic: Animal Cloning
Animal cloning is a form of reproductive cloning, the process of creating an exact replica of an organism or cell asexually. In 1996, the first successfully cloned animal–Dolly the Sheep–was introduced to the world. Since then, scientists have cloned many other animals including tadpoles, mice, cats and dogs. In 2006, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration declared food products derived from cloned animals safe for human consumption and did not require manufacturers to label the products as “cloned.”

This action by the FDA renewed the controversy surrounding the cloning of animals. Critics of cloning call for an outright ban on all types of cloning, while supporters claim the research conducted on cloned animals can lead to medical breakthroughs in humans.

An absence from any examination or test, or late submission of assignments due to illness must be justified. Reasons such as travel, employment and misreading the examination schedule are not accepted. Attendance will be taken sporadically. (1) Some theories in economics posit that poverty and inequality exist because of kinds of relationships between different groups in the economy (for example, the relationship between workers and capitalists, or the relationship between the Global North and the Global South). Other theories posit that poverty and plenty (and hence, inequality) don’t come from relationships between groups, but from the actions or circumstances of those who are poor and those who have plenty (i.e. savings and growth, industrial policy, geography). Describe in detail two distinct theories or mechanisms from each group, for four in total. Conclude with your own evaluation of these theories: how well do they explain the various dimensions of poverty and inequality in the world?

Video Response Paper The following guidelines will help you write video response/ reaction papers for Sociology 101. The response cheap essay help

Video Response Paper

The following guidelines will help you write video response/ reaction papers for Sociology 101. The response should be 2-3 pages.

1. Watch the documentary and take notes
You can only write a review or response to a documentary when you understand all its elements, contents, and message. If possible, it is a good idea to watch the documentary more than once in order to properly digest it. While watching the documentary, think of it as a story: note some of the striking features of the film, like characters, scenes, messages and how they are conveyed to you. As you take notes, try to make arguments, make comparisons between the elements.

2. Identify the focus of your review
The basis of a reaction paper is your opinion or thoughts about the documentary. These opinions and thoughts should be backed by examples or evidence from the film. Develop your idea based on how the documentary touched you. In the case you felt it was good, give a reason with evidence to support that claim. The same should also be applied to when you are in disagreement with the material.

When identifying the focus of your paper do not simply look at the documentary, instead, compare it with your general knowledge, other films on the same subject and even comments from experts in that field. You can also relate the documentary to your personal experiences.

A good response paper should be focused on a unique perspective that is outstanding from the documentary. Consider: what did you find interesting? What did you agree with? What did you disagree with? What surprised you? What was troubling?

3. Determine the elements to discuss
After identifying your opinion, collect points and evidence to support it. Gather sufficient points that are striking from the film to use in proving your reaction. That is, for every key point, provide evidence from the documentary to use in proving it. All the points that you make should connect back to the focus of the paper.

You can also do some research to find out more about the points to discuss in order to present a logical and compelling review (but this is not required!). Be specific in choosing the elements to discuss for clarity. For every point, identify about two or three examples to support it.

4. Create an outline
An outline is a simple plan showing how you intend to present the review. It should briefly highlight the introduction, body, and conclusion of the paper. The purpose of the outline is to provide you with a “blueprint” of the paper and easy reference when writing.
Just like other academic papers, a response paper should follow a particular writing format. The following procedures will direct you on how to write a reaction paper to a documentary.
a. Introduce the paper
Begin by giving a brief and accurate summary of the documentary in the opening statements of the paper. Here include basic information about the piece, including its title, producer, characters, etc.

b. Evaluate the documentary
This should make up the bulk of the paper, and present a comprehensive evaluation of the documentary. This section highlights the body paragraphs and should clearly indicate that you have watched and understood the context of the film. Every paragraph should properly establish and explain your position or response to the documentary, backed with evidence and examples. Devote every paragraph to a particular idea and a few related evidences. Your stance can be supportive or opposed to the view of the producer of the film.

c. Write the conclusion
The final paragraph of a response paper should present a summary of your position on the piece. This can be achieved through restating the focus of the paper and the key points that are discussed in the body paragraphs. Remember that the conclusion should just be short and not open a fresh discussion. Avoid introducing a new idea in the conclusion since that would confuse readers and alter the flow of ideas in the paper.

On the final part, you can also compare the documentary with others in the same genre or subject in order to make readers have a better understanding of the review.

OPTION 1. After considering the following quote, write a response to the following question: How can the Humanities help society build toward the future? What role can the Humanities play?

“Every generation faces the same challenge, to engage with the past and to cope with the present, while building its future. However, the questions and problems inherent in human life remain the same. It is a given that our society can only progress if we work toward handling ever newly rising demands in appropriate ways based on what we know and understand in practical and theoretical terms; but the drumming toward the future cannot be a one-way street. Instead, we have to operate with a Janus-faced strategy, with one eye kept toward tomorrow, and the other eye toward the past.” (Classen, 2014)
Classen, A. (2014). The challenges of the humanities, past, present, and future: Why the middle ages mean so much for us today and tomorrow. Humanities, 3(1), 1-18. Doi:http://dx.doi.org/10.3390/h3010001
OPTION 2. Myths and Contemporary Life. The hero is an archetype found in almost every culture; hence the label world myth. Because their appeal is so strong, they re-emerge again and again. Hero myths are particularly important to children and young people. Choose a film that promotes a hero and consider the impact it may have on a young audience. In particular, consider what cultural values the film may underline. Does the prospect of “us versus them” lead to a divided society? Why does the myth of hero endure?
OPTION 3. Henry David Thoreau called himself a naturalist in his decision to live away from human community. He thought urbanism a sad way to live, a life “of quiet desperation.” Respond to the idea that life is either a solitary pursuit or a communal experience by sharing artifacts (songs, films, art, poetry, architecture) that supports your view.
OPTION 4. If Morality is the basis for differentiating between actions that are “good” or right and those that are “bad” or wrong when we are making choices among significant options. What does music, film, television frequently focuses on behaviors that are typically questionable. For example: Rap music promoting gangster style behavior, overly violent films and television, toxic masculinity, music videos that objectify women. In an essay, share your view on whether popular music, and film or television artists are expressing their freedom or producing morally questionable pieces.
Option 5. According to Dr. David Muller, Mount Sinai’s dean for medical education: “Science is the foundation of an excellent medical education, but a well-rounded humanist is best suited to make the most of that education.” Mount Sinai accepts humanities majors from a handful of top-flight liberal arts schools after their second year of college. These students are expected to continue to follow their nonscientific interests for the remainder of their college careers, while preparing for medical school to come. According to former dean Dr. Norman Kase, who began the program “ [I] really had a firm belief that you couldn’t be a good doctor and a well-rounded doctor — relate to patients and communicate with them — unless you really had a good grounding in the liberal arts.” How important is the Humanities to a career in health care? Cite three or four areas of focus from the textbook that would benefit a student pursuing a career in health care. Link to article: Medical School Lures Humanities Majors

(1) At best, Donald (2010) argued that we may feel free and that we choose our actions, but it is ultimately an illusion of being free. Donald (2010) continues to explain that our brain initiates t best college essay help

Donald (2010) continues to explain that our brain initiates the action, then our consciousness is informed after the fact. The empirical evidence that Donald (2010) cites is from findings of the timing of brain signals, and his findings on how unconscious influences cognition. For the brain signals evidence, Donald (2010:10) claims that “a build-up of electrical activation in the premotor cortex occurs several seconds before the observer decides to initiate a movement,” which is called the readiness potential.
At worst, Donald (2010:14) admits that there is “no evidence that would enable us to dismiss the possibility of free will and conscious choice.” This leaves us to be able to argue that we may have free will and that not everything is caused by our unconscious mind.
Position 2: The unconscious mind is free
At best, Wegner (2008) uses examples like magic. Magic draws an idea in our minds (an illusion basically), to present us with the impression that we are feely willing our actions—mental causation. Wegner (2008) explains different experiments that have influenced the principles of mental causation.
At worst, Wegner (2008) uses experiments and studies to show how the processes of the mind are used rather than actions. Like the study with the crowd of viewers watching a game and hoping for a team to either win or lose and that the viewers believed their conscious mind helped with the outcome of the game. It’
(2)
The best evidence in favor of Wegner’s (2008) claim was the study conducted about effects of priority. This provides strong support because it explains how humans manage their priorities. The study consisted of participants being given random instructions a few seconds before each movement (Wegner, 2008). This study explains how participants follow instructions, within a given time frame. Results showed how even the slightest delay in directions undermine the outcome (Wegner, 2008). This study helps explain how humans are designed to follow guidance or rules. It supports the claim that free will comes as a side effect of consciousness.
At worst, Wegner (2008) presented evidence that participants were instructed to play the role of a witch doctor. From there, they were to conduct a curse on a voodoo doll (Wegner, 2008). Once that was complete, a human victim would come into play. The human victim experienced a headache, due to the curse placed on the voodoo doll (Wegner, 2008). This evidence is weak because it does not explain how free will is a side effect. Rather it is focusing on how humans are more concerned for themselves, if they did something perhaps, to injure someone else. However, they are not worried about the injured person, but how it could have been their fault.
Position 2: Humans do not experience free will as a side effect of consciousness.
At best, Donald (2010) presented evidence explaining how brain activity “can never be the direct object of conscious experience” (Donald, 2010). Donald (2010) goes on to explain how brain activity is crucial for mental activity of any kind. This evidence is problematic to those who believe free will is a side effect of consciousness, because it explains how brain activity is crucial for any human task.
At worst, Donald (2010) conducted a study called the timing argument. In this study, participants used finger movements to evaluate their brain awareness (Donald, 2010). This provided weak evidence as it did not explain how free will was associated with this concept. It focuses more on the explanation of how brain activity works. Therefore, it is a weaker form of argument.

Make sure what you submit is formatted properly – everything here to me has a hanging indent, so the first line of the citation is all the way left, but the summary/assess/reflect are all indented, which is not right.

And each source should have been on its own page when discussing them.

On your specific sources:

All) all sources on your reference page need to be used in your paper. It’s okay if you find better sources later on, and don’t use some of the ones you’ve listed here. But, just be aware that there’s no point in listing a reference and not using it – it won’t count towards the minimum requirement if that happens.

Maybe go to the library and try to find a 737 flight manual – I’m almost certain they would have them. That would count as a “peer-reviewed” source. Also, any FAA or NTSB documents count as well, so look around there as well.

But you’re on the right track with trying to find sources from published articles.

I read through the first couple of sources you listed, and I think you may need to find some other sources:

#1) Rayhan paper – This is more about testing what happens to fuselage auxiliary tanks in a crash, it doesn’t really talk about the design of the fuel system. The 737 shows up in this paper because they used the size and shape of the 737 to make the test fuselage section, but I don’t know that anything else in this paper relates to how the 737 fuel system operates. You might not end up using this source.

#2) Nechiporenko paper – I’m not sure you’d be able to use much here either. This paper just created a hypothetical fuel system for an airplane that does not exist. And, they designed it for a supersonic aircraft, which may be different than what the 737 has. This paper doesn’t even really explain what the design is, other than through pictures, it just explains that they did some computer modelling. I don’t see any information worth using here.

#3) Heilemann paper – this doesn’t explain anything specific about the 737 fuel system. It does explain some of the problems maintenance personnel face with having to inspect fuel tanks during major maintenance events. But, the thing they are designing is an inspection probe, not anything related to a fuel system. I think that goes beyond what you’ll be writing about in the paper.

Let me know if you want help finding or reviewing sources!

Points:

Sources : 25/30 – I don’t think you’ll use all of these

Research Paper

As this is a Capstone class, you will be required to learn (or re-learn) an important professional skill: Scholarly research synthesis. You will first formally choose a topic, and then submit the topic on Canvas for feedback. You may change your topic with approval, up until the due date for the Annotated Bibliography. Your APA style annotated bibliography will assist in the writing of your capstone paper. I will discuss this in class and announcements, so please pay careful attention to my instructions, and use the template and the rubric I have provided. Follow the rubrics and examples! Do not try to “wing it” for a poor grade. The body of the paper (not including title page, abstract and references) must be 5-7 pages. This does not mean four pages and one or two sentences on the fifth page. This is 5-7 full pages. I will deduct a letter grade if you do not meet this requirement.

You are responsible for reviewing the Rubric carefully, which is posted in the Research Component Module. Do not be tempted to turn a paper in with a long list of “references” but with zero effort given to proper in-text citations. I reward plagiarism, even if “unintentional,” with an F. Scholarly research and writing enhances your professional learning in ways that you

will only fully understand and benefit from if you put in the effort and do not procrastinate.

Important: You may not use direct quotes (unless I approve them) for your term paper in this course. You are practicing research “synthesis,” which is an important skill—yes, even for professional aviators. Cutting and pasting someone else’s words into long blocks of filler text is for high school level papers, not for senior capstone undergraduate or graduate level writing.

The literature review covers in a linear fashion papers that differ in several aspects. It may be better to systematically organize the reviewed papers in a table, which will give the reader a bird eye view. For the empirical question “how does money affect elections” most studies recognize that the heart of the problem is the endogeneity of campaign spending. The endogeneity of campaign spending differs between the incumbent and challenger and whether it was general or primary elections. One way to sort the papers you covered in a table is as follows: column 1 of each row is the paper reviewed, column 2 specifies whether the study is on general election or primary (what’s the context of the election), column 3: the data set used, column 4: whether the focus is incumbent or challenger (i.e., define the dependent variable), column 5 is the IV (how is the endogeneity dealt with), column 6 is a comparison of OLS and IV result (what’s the answer to question of money on politics).

W5: Using and Synthesizing Information

Descriiption:

Information and digital literacy impacts the decision-making process in multiple ways from academic research to personal interest. More than ever before, information is at our fingertips and coming at us with lightning speed. How do we sift and use this information (CO1)? Step 4 of the Big 6 model relates to our use of information and the process of engaging and extracting relevant information. Next, Step 5 of the Big 6 approach focuses on synthesis of information (CO8).

Your instructor will set-up four (4) conversation groups this week in which you will select one or more topics to discuss which are of high interest to you.

Health and Wellness
Buying a Car
Hobbies
Vacations

To begin engaging in this forum, choose one of the conversation groups. Select a topic reference source from the web, which you deem credible and reliable. Read the source, extract the information and consider how you will engage your group members in the topic and information from the source. Be sure to include source attribution. As you are reading your source, consider the following:

How will you synthesize and present the content of the source to share?
What do you want your group members to know, and what do they need to know?
How will you share the information so that the content is clear and concise?
This is an opportunity for you to practice use of information and synthesis as you share with one another your own knowledge combined with a supporting source.

At a minimum, participate in one group, although you are welcome to participate in all group threads. Once the conversation is flowing, participate substantially with your peers to teach one another.

Discussion Guidelines:

Three posts minimum.
The initial forum response is due by Thursday at 11:55 p.m. EST and must be 250 words in length.
For peer replies, respond to at least two of your classmates by Sunday at 11:55 p.m. EST and give meaningful replies that advance the discussion.
Before you post, please thoroughly edit your writing to ensure it is professional and academic. For more details about the initial post and peer replies are graded, see the attached grading rubric.
