Select any example of a visualization or infographic, maybe your own work or that of others. The task is to undertake a deep, detailed ‘forensic’ like assessment of the design choices made across each of the five layers of the chosen visualization’s anatomy. In each case your assessment is only concerned with one design layer at a time. For this task, take a close look at the annotation choices:

Start by identifying all the annotation features deployed, listing them under the headers of either project or chart annotation

How suitable are the choices and deployment of these annotation features? If they are not, what do you think they should have been?

Go through the set of ‘Influencing factors’ from the latter section of the book’s chapter to help shape your assessment and to possibly inform how you might tackle this design layer differently

Also, considering the range of potential annotation features, what would you do differently or additionally?

Submit a three-page document answering all of the questions above.  Be sure to show the visualization first and then thoroughly answer the above questions. Ensure that there are at least two-peer reviewed sources utilized this week to support your work.Your work must be enterely origional, checked with grammarly, and make use of proper grammatical conventions.

Week- 4 essay help online

Select a portion of the Website that you have been assigned that you are interested in.

You are to perform a heuristic evaluation of that Website or product. You are required to use Nielsen’s 10 heuristics for this assignment, available online at: http://www.useit.com/papers/heuristic/heuristic_list.html

To guide you in your complete analysis of the usability analysis, you are required to identify at least one scenario that reflects how a user is likely to use your Website or product in real-life. Try and replicate the user experience as part of the study heuristic evaluation.

This can be very general — if you were evaluating a hotel or airline website, for example, you might think about someone trying to cash in all their frequent “traveler” points, or someone trying to trade in their points as part of a transaction. Your goal here is to develop a basic scenario that will guide your heuristic evaluation.

Using the scenario, you will then systematically evaluate the interface – screen by screen on a transactional basis of your chosen site or product, checking to see which interface elements you encounter (if any) result in problematic experiences. Once you experience challenging experiences, you will document these areas and identify ways in which these areas can be improved potentially in order to avoid violating any of Nielsen’s heuristics.

Note: You should work from your scenario, and not work from the heuristics (i.e., don’t take each heuristic one at a time, looking for heuristic violations on the site).

Your paper should be 4-6 pages in length. You must cite all sources using APA format. It is strongly encouraged you integrate at least 2-3 screenshots of your user experience to include the outputs of your study. When responding, make sure to answer each of these questions:

Identify the website or product you have been assigned (including a screenshot), and briefly describe the reason you selected the section of the Website evaluated.

Describe the scenario you used to focus your evaluation, and explain how you approached the site/product with respect to the usability heuristics.

Provide a detailed analysis of the usability flaws you found for this site, along with a) the heuristics each flaw violates, and b) an explanation of why this flaw violates those heuristics.

Discuss some possible design recommendations that could improve the site, explaining how each recommended change would address the usability flaws you identified above.

the paper is based on this self-assessment and a previous essay, following the guidelines included SELF ASSESSMENT: Feedback: You best essay help: best essay help

the paper is based on this self-assessment and a previous essay, following the guidelines included

SELF ASSESSMENT:
Feedback: You may exhibit high consideration leader behavior.

Interpreting the Result

The first six items of the scale (1 to 6) measure the dimension of leadership known as initiating structure. You can see they are intended to assess how much you tend to focus on getting others to accomplish the task at hand. The second six items of the scale (7 to 12) measure the second dimension, known as consideration.

It is important to note that an individual can be low, moderate, or high on each scale. That is, being high in initiating structure does not mean you are going to score low on consideration. Instead, a person can be high on both, low on both, or any other combination of scores.

Most leadership experts think the best leaders are high on both the initiating structure and consideration dimensions.

Action Steps

If you aspire to leadership positions, you should take time to reflect on the results of this self-assessment. If you scored high on both dimensions, this may indicate you tend to exhibit behaviors which are associated with effective leadership in many different contexts. You should continue to look for opportunities to practice your leadership skills.

If you scored high on one dimension, but low or moderate on the other dimension, you should reflect on why this might be. Since the most effective leaders are strong on both dimensions, you should look at the items of the dimension where you scored in the low or moderate range, and make a plan for working on improving those specific behaviors. You are more likely to advance in leadership positions to the extent you are able to be strong in both areas.

Most importantly, you can practice your leadership skills while you are a student. College students have many opportunities to become leaders including working with a student organization, volunteering with a local non-profit such as Big Brother or Big Sister, taking a leadership role on your varsity or intramural athletic team, taking a student leadership role on campus, and on and on. The best way to prepare yourself for leadership is to be a leader, to self-consciously think about your strengths and weaknesses, and to learn from your mistakes.

Survey Caveat

Remember your score on this self-assessment, while useful for self-understanding, should not be over-interpreted. First, every person is complex and it is impossible to fully capture your uniqueness in a short self-assessment. Second, you may well find your leadership behaviors may change over time, or you may come to understand what your leadership behaviors actually are only later in life. Third, it is often helpful to seek out the advice of someone who knows you well to see if their perception of you is consistent with your perception of yourself. Use this self-assessment as a starting point for your understanding of yourself, not the finish line.

For this discussion, please refer to “Writing a Bad News Message,” which was one of the reading materials for week 7. You should also review the link from Purdue University on “Examples of Bad News Memos,” which is one of the reading resources for week 8.

Then do the following:

Step 1: Post your research report as a Word or rtf attachment (this is so a classmate can read it);

Step 2: Choose a classmate’s research report and post a response telling him/her that you are reading his/her report – only 1 reader for each report, please;

Step 3: Write a memo to tell the person whose report you have read that the company/community/etc. WILL NOT be implementing the recommended solution to the problem he/she has proposed. You will have to be creative in offering reasons why the solution cannot be implemented (money, opposition from stock holders, higher command or management, etc., are typical reasons for such decisions).

Here is a helpful explanation of how to handle such a memo:

Bad News Memos

Post your research report draft as your first response to this discussion post. Post your memo as your second response to the person you have chosen.

This exercise gives you practice in one of business/professional writing’s toughest tasks – saying no.

Remember, try to follow the advice from “Writing a Bad News Message.” Saying no to a request is difficult, but with the strategies you’ll learn in the readings mentioned above, you’ll be able to convey the message effectively.

Doing this should give you all the knowledge you need to give your classmate bad news. 🙂

Question – Discuss the similarities and differences between Anti-Social Personality Disorder and Psychopathy. from ta- FOCUS ON CONSTRUCTS NOT THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE THIS DISORDER i asked my ta questions for further help: Creation of constructs means who created the terms and why? Someone came up with the constructs for some purpose. Think about the constructs in the DSM vs Hare’s Checklist. I think it would be probably be best if you put them both in the same paragraph since you are comparing the two constructs. I think that it may be better to amalgamate these short paragraphs into larger ones. A paragraph should contain a complete idea. So you would have one paragraph on comparing and contrasting creation on ASPD vs psychopathy construct. I think if you try to break it down into these small paragraphs, you won’t be able to weave in your argument. For each section, you need to compare and contrast the two constructs so you can’t really have paragraphs without both. Where would you include Hares checklist and triarchic model when talking about psychopathy? You would likely want to address this in the paragraph on “creation.” Can we be comparing and contrasting throughout the entire essay even in the paragraphs in regards to real-life implications? For example can I argue that Psychopathy is more dangerous than Aspd based on prevalence or should I just have that in the first paragraph with the similarities and differences? You should be including info for your arguments on ASPD/psychopathy in every paragraph – so by extension, yes, there should be comparing and contrasting throughout the paper. Remember, this paper is on the constructs so just talking about whether psychopathy or ASPD is more dangerous is not quite getting at the heart of the assignment. But if you phrase that a bit differently, to talk about the prevalence of these conditions in the real world then that would fit in with real-life implications. rubric to follow PLEASE FOLLOW THE OUTLINE but for the last paragraph there needs to be a concluded argument for the pros and cons to be following
