I Have To Write A 20 Page Journal Article/research Paper On William Faulkner And One Of His Novels, Absalom! Custom Essay Help

I have to write a 20 page journal article/research paper on William Faulkner and one of his novels, Absalom! Absalom!; HOWEVER, for right now, I only need a TWO PAGE INTRODUCTION for the article. Since it is just the introduction, I don’t need a works cited with it (unless you decide to use a quote from one the provided sources in my bibliography). I have a vague outline for the intro but not necessarily what I want to say which is why I need you.
I have attached my research proposal. I have also attached my annotated bibliography so you have 16 of the sources I will be using to support my argument. The gist of my research is an analysis of Faulkner’s characterization of his female characters in the novel in general but also based on the actual (American) Southern patriarchal society’s treatment of women in the 19th century which is the setting of the novel. It also covers how Faulkner shows this treatment and subconscious ideology of women and how it is internalized by the female characters. The question that drives my argument is whether William Faulkner is misogynistic, is he treating/portraying the women in poor lighting to reflect the real treatment and status of women in 19th century (American) Southern society, or is he just bad at portraying women as many critics have said before? My essay topic offers a fresh perspective to the study area because it looks at the female characters from a psychoanalytic stance and will analyze not only the main character, Rosa, but also Judith and Ellen who are not nearly as studied by other scholars.
Note: 1) I was not sure if Classic English Literature is the correct subject area for this assignment. 2) I also did not know whether to put a number for the sources down below since my introduction is not required to have quotes.
Key words: Faulkner, Absalom! Absalom!, Southern American society, feminism, historical, psychoanalysis

The “Riot Grrrl” movement reportedly started in 1991 as a movement in Washington, D.C. and Olympia, Washington when a Essay essay help online free

The “Riot Grrrl” movement reportedly started in 1991 as a movement in Washington, D.C. and Olympia, Washington when a group of women held a meeting to discuss how to address sexism in the punk scene. “Inspired by recent antiracist riots in D.C., the women decided they wanted to start a ‘girl riot’ against a society they felt offered no validation of women’s experiences.” The name itself was written as riot “grrrl,” like the sound of a growl, representing the anger behind the movement. Riot Grrrl followed the DIY punk ethic and aimed to validate women’s perspectives, with homemade, limited publications of “fanzines”, support groups that dealt with sensitive issues, and formed bands such as Bikini Kill and Bratmobile.

Riot Grrrl bands used performance and shock value as tools of protest. Like Punk, Riot Grrrl bands avoided major record labels because they were afraid that contracts could potentially threaten the integrity of the bands by forcing them to “tone down” their music and change their image. For this reason, Riot Grrrl never hit mainstream audiences.

A few years later, a similar movement emerged stemming from Riot Grrrl: the “Angry Women” of “Alternative Rock” with artists like Ani DiFranco, Alanis Morissette, Meredith Brooks, and Tracy Bonham. Women like Morsette and Brooks presented a consciously “angry” aesthetic that appealed to an uncompromisingly feminist audience; they addressed similar topics with considerable force, but they were much more commercially successful.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT

Consider the following questions: as an ignorant rock critic might have put it in the early 1990s: “What are these artists angry about anyway?” Or for our purposes: Is their anger explicitly feminist? Do their lyrics and image empower them as women or does it have the opposite effect? How does the musical context, and performance/delivery of those lyrics, impact the meanings they might have merely as words?

Compare the details of two songs from your Riot Grrrl listening list: preferably choosing one from a Riot Grrrl band and another from a more mainstream artist. While both Riot Grrrl and “Angry Women” sang about women empowerment, the way they approached their topics were different. What makes them different or similar? Is it the way each movement is packaged and delivered that distinguishes them or something else? Make reference to at least one reading—such as O’Brien (1994; unit 4) and at least one aspect of our lectures (11-15) pertaining to social and historical contexts, to support claims about specific ideas and feelings expressed within the songs, associated with specific words in the lyrics or specific sounds in the music.

Your response should be at least 500 words in length (you can go long if desired)

is the difference between a defined benefit and a defined contribution pension plan? (4-6 sentences) 2. What approach might a younger person use to best prepare financially for retirement? (4-6 sentences) college admissions essay help: college admissions essay help

This chapter discusses the controversy that exists over the cost of federal retirement income programs for older people. Some writers think that the high cost of federal old-age pensions leads to less money and fewer programs for other age groups. These writers propose reduced funding for programs that serve older people. Other writers argue against reduced funding. They say that the public pension system accounts for improvements in older people’s financial well-being. And poorer people, who gain the most from a strong public pension system, would suffer the most if the government cuts funding. Future economic policies should encourage a balanced approach to retirement income. This approach includes balancing public support with private pensions, savings, and work. Please answer the following question(s). No replies are required for this week’s discussion. 1. What is the difference between a defined benefit and a defined contribution pension plan? (4-6 sentences) 2. What approach might a younger person use to best prepare financially for retirement? (4-6 sentences)

c. How did you assist them?
d. Who did you speak with? (Name and title)

Our problem is Income disparities and health care in San Fernando California. And when we were going through disparities in the San Fernando area we found out that living costs are very high and the resources available for the community are not enough to help people in need. Although we have many services available, we need more introduction and teaching in this area to help people find resources for their needs.

The name of the agency is “San Fernando Health Center” which is located at 1212 Pico Street San Fernando CA 91340, general contact number is (818) 627-4777.
I want to identify the resources available, how they provide their services, what services are free and what are with fees, also how they can help people with low income to identify and seek help in advance (what preventative measures, community education services they offer).

Write a 5-6 page (1500-2000 word) persuasive essay answering the question: Under what conditions is political power legitimate?

The smaller assignments have assessed whether you’ve understood the readings (the summary papers) and whether you’ve thought about them individually (the discussions); this assignment is intended to assess whether you can pull the readings together, and use them to make an argument of your own.

My advice is to start with by clearly giving your answer in the first paragraph, and use the rest of your paper to (A) provide evidence or argumentation drawn from the readings in favor of your answer, then (B) consider and reject alternative answers, all through evidence or argumentation drawn from the readings.

I do want you to root your essay in the readings for this class, which means citing them extensively – at least a dozen citations, and more are probably better. You’re welcome to use any citation style you’re comfortable with, but pick one and stick with it. I use Harvard myself, but I’ve used Chicago, MLA, APA, and so on.

Because I haven’t taught for a while, I don’t have an example of an A paper to show you. But I can show you an example of a good thesis (that is, the answer to the question of when political power is legitimate):

Good example: Political power is only legitimate when used with the consent of the governed; Locke is correct, and I will defend him in this essay.
Bad example: Many people have things to say about political legitimacy, and everyone thinks something different.
Notice how specific the first example is, and how vague the second is. It would be very challenging to write a focused argument around the second, but you can probably already see how an argument starts in the first one.

The strength of [body] paragraph development depends on the correct structure, beginning with a clear presentation of the topic college essay help online

The strength of [body] paragraph development depends on the correct structure, beginning with a clear presentation of the topic and controlling idea(s) in the topic sentence followed by the development of each example related to the controlling idea(s). Each example or illustration ought to develop a point, but multiple illustrations should build upon each other also. Each point of development should begin with a claim and then supported by textual evidence. Then, the connections between the claim and the textual support should be analyzed. To be able to make connections that allow for analysis, you can either find some text that supports an idea for a claim you come up with or derive a claim from the text to then analyze after the support of the claim. In general, it is a good idea to develop three points related to a topic in any [body] paragraph. One is not enough and two does not have as much weight as three. More than three, however, may be too much. To structure [body] paragraph development, you can call upon the following template:

Topic sentence: topic controlling idea(s) = preview(s) of related examples.

Claim cited textual evidence your analysis of the connection(s) between claim and text

Claim cited textual evidence your analysis of the connection(s) between claim and text

Claim cited textual evidence your analysis of the connection(s) between claim and text

Concluding sentence leading into next topic by connecting previous to next topic.

For this exercise, post one of your Essay 2 body paragraphs (the one about either Brent or Blake if you organized your essay in this way or the one about either the brothers’ similarities or differences if you organized it in that way) if it conforms to this structure. If it does not, revise it to do so and post here.

For your paper, be sure to synthesize. Here is a re-cap of the directions:

Synthesize the results of the evidence from quantitative and/or qualitative studies. Logically present and analyze the evidence, comparing and contrasting the results from the studies.

This is not an annotated bibliography or a series of summaries of each article. Your paper should contain a synthesis of pertinent information from the evidence. Do Not review articles individually. The score cards are for individual reviews.

The body of your paper should not exceed 8-10 pages. Keep the rubric by your side when you write your paper. Include some of the rubric topics as your headers such as Review of the Literature (your synthesis) and Cultural and Contextual Factors. Include a labeled summary at the end of the paper.

Use 6-7 primary, quantitative, and/or qualitative research studies (that have been through IRB approval) for your score cards and paper. Be sure to include the full APA reference at the top of the score card.

For the paper, you can use one 1 filtered article such as a systematic review or meta- analysis, but this is not required (no scorecard needed as we do not have a score care for filtered articles).

Use other scholarly articles to support your theories (nursing, cultural) and change model. Try to find primary articles, meaning articles written by your chosen theorist. Many will be older than 5 years. Here is an example of a primary resource:

Orem, D.E. (1991). Nursing: Concepts of Practice (4th ed). Mosby-Year Books.

You should have a minimum of seven (7) sources (external evidence) that provide evidence about your proposed change in practice.

Six studies must be primary sources (quantitative and qualitative) and these require score cards.
You do not need a critique form for a filtered article such as a systematic review.
Five of these sources must be from peer-reviewed nursing or medical journals.
Two studies can be from other disciplines (if appropriate), but must also be peer reviewed.
You may use a clinical guideline as one of your sources, if appropriate. (you do not need a score card for a guideline as we do not have a scorecard for a guideline)

You endorse the role of a portfolio manager. You have a client who is an individual investor with preferences Essay best college essay help: best college essay help

You endorse the role of a portfolio manager. You have a client who is an individual investor with preferences characterised by a simple mean and variance utility function. This 25 year old individual lives in the US and has a steady annual income. Your client wishes to invest in a portfolio of assets to provide funds for retirement. The investor has no dependents. Your role is to find the optimal risky portfolio and the optimal complete portfolio using portfolio optimisation; while assuming different levels of risk aversion for this individual. The investor is considering an investment in either a) a group of individual stocks listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), b) a group of US portfolio funds or c) country portfolios. You will also need to discover portfolio weights in different scenarios using expected returns based on historical means and expected returns from different asset pricing models. This is unconstrained optimisation where short selling is allowed and borrowing can take place at the risk free rate.
You will be provided with a data set which consists of observations from January 2008 to December 2017 (information on the sources for the data will be provided in your data set). These are:
1. Monthly returns for six stocks listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). These are high volume stocks from different sectors listed on the NYSE quoted in US dollars.
2. Monthly returns for six country portfolios. These track the results of an investment composed of the individual countries equities and quoted in US dollars.
3. Monthly returns for six US portfolio funds that characterise different styles.
4. Monthly interest rates on the 4 week Treasury Bill.
5. Expected returns for the static capital asset pricing model, the Fama-French 3 factor model and a macro 3 factor model.
You need to replace the data in the Excel file you constructed from the sample Excel sheet provided by Craig Holden available from excelmodeling.com.
On page 7.2 of the Excel sheet you should be able to observe the mean returns from the historical data, the standard deviations, correlations and the covariances. Undertake the following:
• Using the historical mean as the expected return, use the portfolio optimisation procedure in the Excel sheet to determine the portfolio weights of the optimal risky portfolio and the optimal complete portfolio. Select your own estimate of risk aversion for the individual stating what would happen if risk aversion changes (either up or down) from your own initial estimate. (You are given the chance to select a level of risk aversion, in part, to ensure you have flexibility over the diagram demonstrating the optimal complete portfolio and optimal risky portfolio.)
• Imagine you are doing security analysis on some of the stocks, what happens when you change the expected return? Select a security (or securities) of your choice and analyse the results.
• Compare the portfolio weights for both the optimal risky portfolio and the optimal complete portfolio using the portfolio optimisation procedure in the Excel sheet for the three methods to forecast expected returns, a), historical, b) static CAPM, and c) Fama-French 3 factor. Offer an interpretation of your findings.

upon the Environment (SSC2211C)…..Ecological Footprints [WLO: 3] [CLOs: 3, 6] college essay help online

Ecological Footprints [WLO: 3] [CLOs: 3, 6]
Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, view video The Ecological Footprint Explained (Links to an external site.). The ecological footprint is a tool for helping us to visualize the impacts we make on the environment. In this week’s class discussion, you will have the opportunity to learn more about how connected you are to the ecosystems and biosphere that you inhabit.

In a course-long project beginning this week, you will take on the challenge of lessening your impacts on the environment through reducing the size of your ecological footprint. Specifically, you will identify possible lifestyle changes that would reduce the amount of resources you use and/or the amount of carbon dioxide emissions that you produce. In a course-long experiment, you will determine whether or not it is possible to make a measurable difference in your environmental impact through a few simple actions in your daily life. The first step, of course, is to determine your ecological footprint right now. To do that, you will calculate three footprints: an overall ecological footprint that takes most of our daily behaviors into consideration; a carbon footprint that focuses on our daily carbon emissions that are contributing to global climate change; and a water footprint that assesses daily water use.

Part A: Ecological Footprint

Use the footprint tool from the web page What Is Your Ecological Footprint? (Links to an external site.) to calculate your ecological footprint. At every opportunity, please select the “add details to improve accuracy” option. At the end of the footprint activity, make a note of how many Earths would be required if everyone lived like you. Then click on “see details” to obtain the following information:

Your ecological footprint, in global hectares (a hectare is about 2.5 acres).
Your top three consumption categories.
Finally, research some ways you might reduce your footprint, identifying a few specific ones that you might put into practice throughout the course.
Part B: Household Carbon Emissions Footprint

Next, use the Carbon Footprint Calculator (Links to an external site.) to calculate your household carbon emissions footprint. After answering all the questions,

Make a note of your carbon emissions footprint in pounds. Is that above or below the average household carbon footprint in the US?
Explore specific actions you might take to reduce your footprint. Which of them might be practical to undertake in the next five weeks?
Part C: Water Footprint

Finally, use the Water Footprint Calculator (Links to an external site.) to calculate your daily water footprint. After answering all the questions,

Make a note of your gallons-per-day water footprint.
Record the top three contributors to it.
Scroll down the page to access a series of “Tips” buttons you can click on for advice on reducing your footprint. Again, make a note of some specific ideas you see that might be practical to implement over the next five weeks.
Discussion Post Requirements

Your discussion should include all the information you gathered about your consumption habits from your three footprint calculations, including all numbers with units.

Copy the table above and paste into your post, then add your data for each category. You can also access the Footprint Table here Download Footprint Table here. Then, in a well-crafted post of at least 200 additional words, examine the numerical results of your three footprint calculations by answering the following questions:

What did you learn that surprised you about your consumption habits?
What lifestyle changes could you make that would reduce one or more of the three footprints? Propose a minimum of five. (These do not have to be the ones you use in this course-long project; over the course of the discussion, you may opt to select other ones based upon classmates’ recommendations. You will be recording your final choices for lifestyle changes in your Journal at the end of the week.)
For each lifestyle change, which footprint would you be lowering? Discuss potential obstacles to making those changes, and then suggest ways you might overcome those obstacles.

In a brief paragraph, respond to both the following questions, with your thoughts and opinions:

According to current data and the class notes, we know that over 95% of convictions are gained as the result of plea bargains. When a defendant agrees to accept a plea bargain, he/she is admitting that they are guilty (usually of a lesser crime). In evaluating the criminal justice system, from the defendant’s view/standpoint/perspective, why do plea bargain deals look so attractive and why are they chosen so often? Explain.

As we learned through the notes, State and Federal laws have been changed throughout time with the intention of helping prosecutors gain leverage in plea bargaining. In evaluating the criminal justice system, from the courts view/standpoint/perspective, why is plea bargaining (the Administrative System) the goal rather than trial (the Adversarial System)? Explain.

important opportunity to get valuable instructor feedback on the progress you are making and to ensure you are on the right track for your later submission.
Prompt: Module Two: Approaches to History, continued, has explored how historians select search terms to locate secondary sources that help them find
answers to their research question. Return to your submission for Progress Check 1 and expand upon your event’s historical significance, describe two secondary
sources you could use to research your event (along with search terms you used to locate those sources), and support your research question with secondary and
primary sources.
Specifically, in this assignment, you will submit the following elements of your Project 1: Writing Plan for review by your instructor:
In Module Two: Approaches to History, continued, learning block 2-3 (page 3), you completed the following element:
I. Describe the historical event that you selected. Why is this event significant?
II. Describe at least two secondary sources that you could use to research your historical event. Your sources must be relevant to your event and must be
of an appropriate academic nature. In your descriiption, consider questions such as: What are the similarities and differences in the content of your
sources? What makes them appropriate and relevant for investigating your event? What was your thought process when you were searching for
sources? How did you make choices?
IV. Based on your review of primary and secondary sources, develop a research question related to the historical event you selected. In other words, what
would you like to know more about?
Please note that the numbering included above directly aligns with the numbering of these elements as they are presented in the Project 1 Guidelines and
Rubric. You will ultimately also need to describe primary sources that you could use to research your event as well as the audience and message for your
historical analysis essay, but you do not need to do so in this submission. You will be prompted to build upon this progress check submission to prepare your final
writing plan for submission in Module Four.

Write an arithmetic expression that calculates the average of 18 and 46.

You may already know that:

the average of two numbers is their sum divided by 2

the symbol for division is /, thus 10 divided by 5 is written as 10/5

division has higher arithmetic precedence than addition

parentheses (()’s) may be used to override precedence

Thus, one correct solution would be:

(18 46)/2Try it– enter the above solution and click the submit button!

Even with an exercise as simple as taking the average of 18 and 46 it is still possible to make mistakes. For example:

we might forget to use parentheses:
18 46/2

or, we might use the wrong arithmetic operator:(18-46)/2

Try these and see the system feedback. Also try entering some of your own incorrect answers, and see what you get.

Again, what makes programming so interesting is that there are also MANY ways to be right. For example, we could reverse the 18 and 46 and still have a correct answer:

(46 18)/2

One of the most essential components of all learning is experimentation. Nowhere is this more true than in learning programming. Students should be encouraged to experiment with solutions even after “getting it right”.

Having submitted a typical correct solution, a student might experiment with:

(18 46)/(3-1)

***VERY COMPLEX INSTRUCTIONS*** PLEASE FOLLOW ALL BUSINESS AUDIENCE: REFERENCE DOCUMENT My Audience: Professional colleagues (Marketing Department of an organization) essay help site:edu

***VERY COMPLEX INSTRUCTIONS*** PLEASE FOLLOW ALL
BUSINESS AUDIENCE: REFERENCE DOCUMENT
My Audience: Professional colleagues (Marketing Department of an organization)
Hello, I need to write an original reference document about problems of why plant-based meat’s current market penetration is not very effective (Source: https://www.wri.org/insights/will-anyone-eat-plant-based-big-mac-behavioral-science-says-yes, even though the consumption trend of plant-based meat is growing (Source: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0950329320303323). The audience that this reference document aims to is professional colleagues which in this case are marketing department of a food business organization. This reference document will help the marketing department to understand the flaws in advertising plant-based meat products, point out the advertising problems, and help them plan a successful marketing strategic plan. I have found two interesting sources concerning plant-based meat, https://www.wri.org/insights/will-anyone-eat-plant-based-big-mac-behavioral-science-says-yes, the first source is about how plant-based meat business should have done with their marketing strategy, which I think I can point out some marketing problems from this source. The second source, https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0950329320303323, is a quantitative data showing some data about daily consumption routine of people who prefer eating meat-alternative and people who prefer regular food consumption. This source also shows some interesting data about consumer’s behavior that people prefer to eat meat-alternative when they are alone. I think this is a very interesting data and I think we can include in the paper that marketing team should not focus their advertising for people who are extroverted, but rather focus on advertising introverted people, those who like to be alone at home? Or prefer eating alone. Marketing team can focus on promotion for small food portion instead of big portion to attract maybe a freelancer that usually eats alone, rather than focusing promotion on party people? Also at the conclusion part of this second source, it talks about how meat-alternative business should focus on taste, texture, and good value for money in order to attract consumers to eat more meat-alternative product. If marketing team can see these problems, they will come up with a better marketing plan to promote plant-based meat product. This is just to give you some ideas. However, these are just some ideas, if they do not seem to work out, we can skip these ideas.

Important Requirements
– This original reference document should ideally address a specific problem or gap in knowledge faced by its specific audience. It should work carefully, cogently, precisely, and appealingly to fill that gap or solve that problem. Upon reading this document, the audience should know, feel, understand, conceptualize, or be able to do something specific it could not before.
– U.S. writing style, Double-spaced with one-inch margins. Use a serif font; Times New Roman, 12-point. MLA citations. Correct use of italics.
– Include a bibliography (in MLA style) at the back of this document to list these documents.
– I think approximately about 4-6 cited sources should do for this reference document.
– ***Very important*** Since this is a reference document, all cited sources should be based on factual research, not authors’ opinions. Here’s an example of research I obtained from Google Scholar: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0950329320303323.
– Include some descriptive and quantitative research in this reference document.
– Focus coherently on a topic or process which it attempts to precisely describe or narrate.
– Commit to accuracy.
– Commit to appropriate representation of the work of others.
– Be clear and unambiguous.
– Waste no words.
– Anticipate complexity in the audience’s engagement with the topic or process described or narrated. ***VERY IMPORTANT PART*** (We must anticipate what is tricky about offering this reference document, failures that the marketing team may face developing marketing strategy using this reference document such as instead of getting more customers to try plant-based meat, but instead loses customers because the marketing strategy goes wrong. And we must provide resolutions to this anticipated trickiness.)
– Order knowledge and information effectively into discrete units to serve the document’s purpose and audience.
– Separate these units using headers and subheaders.
– Uses design elements such as illustrations, charts, figures, tables, graphs, photographs, or other visual aids effectively. (This can be quantitative charts? Or maybe provide some plant-based meat menu and point out the marketing problems on the menu?)
– Show critical understanding of and facility with the technical concerns of a discipline or field and specific audience. (Talk about why market penetration of plant-based meat is not very effective? Maybe because people still prefer eating meat since they concern more about taste, texture, and good value for money?)
– Draw this document from professional expertise, experience, and ambitions and prepare a project aimed at a true, identifiable purpose and audience, a document that fills an identifiable gap. (Maybe talk about how business in this modern era should consider more about consumers’ health issues and save the environment. Business cannot just grow with it stock growth but it should also implement effective sustainability and environmental management solutions.)
– Finally, please include the best conclusion for the last paragraph! Thank you very much! I do appreciate your help very much.

Ps. In case the instructions here are too difficult to read, I have also uploaded the instructions file here as well.

Cultural Critic and essayist Daniel Mendelsohn stated, “Angels wanted, in other words, to be a play not about ‘gays’ or for that matter, about AIDS and the rottenness of America’s handling of the crisis, but about the texture of the American experience itself. The message—that what the AIDS crisis was revealing wasn’t a moral flaw on the part of gay men, as the conservatives running the country would have it but rather a moral failing in America itself.” Do you agree with this statement? Active Learning Discussion Question 8Contains unread posts
This is your last active learning discussion (a collective sigh of relief can be heard).

In Chapter 15 of your textbook, the author discussed various factors that shape and determine our style of ethical inquiry, including feminist and masculine factors.

Please develop, while using outside sources, your own set of personal questions you might ask yourself when confronted with an ethical dilemma or situation and share them with each other.

An interesting one is the Bell, Book, and Candle. This system suggests that you ask yourself three questions before making a decision in an ethical situation:
Bell – Does the decision or action sound right?
Book – Does the decision violate any written laws, rules, or policies?
Candle – How will the decision look when exposed to the “light of day,” or public scrutiny?

Each student is expected to have created and shared an ethical questionnaire that is simple and easily remembered to help the learner lead him/herself to ethical conclusions as each of you begin and/or continue your work in the criminal justice system.

I would Like this written in a manner that appreciates what Law Enforcement does and the good associated with the profession while still answering the question effectively.
