(1) The most urgent concern that I am seeing in today’s society is people being respectful of others, especially if they have a different opinion. I have seen too many times people resort to name cal cheap essay help

I have seen too many times people resort to name calling and bashing someone for a different opinion, without knowing how that person came to form that opinon.  The second urgent thing I see is that people are too detached and lastly they just look away from a problem or place blame instead of working together to come up with a possible solution.  VR could help by bringing different people together on a large platform to brainstorm and discuss differences.  Through this compromises can be made and possible working solutions.  These platforms could chat groups or Zoom meetings so everyone can see one another.
(2)
Three Urgent concerns in today’s society?
1) Government accountability and transparency or corruption. (World-Wide)
2) Climate change I only say that because last winter here in San Antonio it snowed and there was no electricity. CRAZY COLD for about one week. I will add to that pollution which I think is also playing a part in climate change.
3) Lack of unity, too much hatred and continual talk about how “racist” people are. Can we try to notice the good? Can our society try to love each other no matter how different we are? Can we just be friends? I think this is world-wide not just in USA.
Virtual reality can allow us to travel with out leaving our homes, I think travel opens people’s minds and hearts to new experiences and also new cultures which can make us all more understanding, compassionate and human.
I don’t know if virtual reality can help solve government corruption but as far as transparency I think VR and technology working hand in hand have make data and communication/information more easily accessible and transparent to the public.
VR can motivate and inspire us help solve the climate crisis. I know when I watched a video on climate change it allowed me to see and feel the effects of our changing environment. Something that is dear to my heart is the ocean. I was born in California and literally went swimming almost every week-end for as long as I can remember until I moved here (Going to Padre Island soon on a week-end trip) and it is sad how polluted it is! We humans have literally created a plastic island made up of plastics and other rubbish. This breaks my heart for all the beautiful sea creatures. We are polluting the earth and VR helps us see the facts that we try to pretend aren’t real.

Please read the instructions carefully. Add section titles in bold font, to help you focus your writing, and so that your instructor can ensure that you covered everything. See the rubric below for grading. There is a template attached for you to follow: Case Analysis -Part 2 (SWOT Analysis) Template

SWOT Analysis:

Good strategy, plus good strategy execution, equals good management. A winning strategy must fit the enterprise’s external and internal situation, build sustainable competitive advantage, and improve company performance. SWOT analysis is a simple but powerful tool for sizing up a company’s resource capabilities and deficiencies, its market opportunities, and the external threats to its future well-being.

A SWOT Analysis is usually done in a matrix format, as shown, but you can include the info in outline form. Include 3-4 sentences for each, that describe in greater detail the company situation.

6SWOT-Analysis1.pngInclude the following in your outline, and tell about each one in a few sentences:

Identify company resource strengths and competitive capabilities. (3-4 strengths)
Identify company resource weaknesses and competitive deficiencies. (3-4 weaknesses)
Identify the company’s market opportunities. (3-4 opportunities)
Identify external threats to the company’s future business prospects. (3-4 threats)
Analyze in detail each of the items you include in the SWOT table. Cite sources to verify the facts you state in the table. Personal opinion is not enough. You can have personal opinion, but verify it with reliable sources that agree with you. For the Internal analysis (Strengths and Weaknesses), you can cite family, friends, or coworkers. For the External analysis (Opportunities and Threats) you can cite various business journals containing economic data and employment data. There are many websites that list this information. Be sure to cite them to add credibility and reliability to your analysis.

Don’t forget references! How to Let Word Do Your References and Citations

As always, proofread and edit your work. NEVER use first (“I”) or second person (“you”) in a case analysis. Use the third person (“they”). Turnitin is used for this assignment. Once you submit your work, please look at the report that comes up, and make changes accordingly.

Overall, this is a very well-organized working draft. The file format does not allow me to give you any in-text comments, so here are some suggestions for your revision:

1. Try to highlight the connection between Twain’s story and the American realism in your thesis and topic sentences. The wording can be different, but somehow it has to be a reminder that your analysis is linked to the greater tradition of American realist literature (You could say, The impact of American realism in Twain’s work is also evident in the setting of the story, the wild Western frontier during the Gold Rush…) I’m sure you can come up with your own version.

2. Rewrite all three topic sentences so that the emphasis on realism, or Twain’s contribution to it, is clearly indicated.

3. Put more emphasis on the narrative strategy, especially on frame narrative–the use of double narrators–in your first body paragraph, in addition to your analysis on their different styles of language, local vs standard English.

4. Add more comments to the quotations, especially to the first quotation in the third body paragraph

ONLY THE PRODUCTION FROM THE COLLEGE DATABASE ARE ALLOWED!!! NO MOVIE OR TV VERSIONS!!!

You are to submit a paper concerning Aristotle’s components of a play and how they relate to the production that you see.

PLOT – NOT a retelling of the story! Did the plot of the production you saw meet the requirements of a good plot as set forth in the text? Was the plot logical, suspenseful, engaging…etc.

CHARACTER – Were the characters believable within the world of the play? Could you identify with them? Were they complex and interesting characters?

If you didn’t like it…why? There are no right or wrong responses, just be honest and straightforward; do your best to integrate your knowledge of the material.

This is a college paper! You are expected to use good grammar, syntax, punctuation, and form.

Much of what we tend to focus on when we study social psychology are topics that often have a college essay help near me: college essay help near me

Much of what we tend to focus on when we study social psychology are topics that often have a negative connotation such as conformity, prejudice, aggression or obedience. A huge component of the study of social psychology; however, focuses on prosocial behavior – behaviors that focus on compassion and helping others. For this activity, you will focus on this more uplifting aspect of social psychology. Topics that fall under the area of prosocial behavior include altruism, helping, bystander intervention, empathy, and compassion, among others.

For this exercise, pick one day and seek to structure your thoughts and behaviors entirely around helping others. With each interaction or action you take, pause to think and ask yourself “is there a way I might help another here?” Hold a door for someone, offer your seat, share a smile, give a sincere compliment, show empathy to another, attempt to be more patient or understanding, etc. Your efforts should be in social settings that involve interactions with others (rather than something such as donating to a charity for instance). The goal is to be as thoughtfully prosocial in your interactions throughout the day as possible.

At the beginning of the day, jot down your general mood, feelings, attitude, etc.
Then throughout the day, whenever possible, carry a small notebook with you or make notes in an app on your phone to jot down meaningful encounters or experiences as you attempt to engage in prosocial behaviors.
At the end of the day, again reflect and take notes on how you feel, your general mood, feelings and attitudes, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are unable to engage in prosocial behavior outside of your home due to COVID-19 restrictions/precautions, you are encouraged to engage in such behaviors with your family/people with whom you are sheltering. You may also engage in prosocial behavior with others virtually or through other means (e.g., through video calls, emails, etc…). This assignment will be more meaningful if you are able to engage in-person with acquaintances or strangers, but you can still find ways to make a significant difference to others even if quarantined or sheltering in place.

In a 5-7 slide PowerPoint presentation, not counting title or reference slides:

Summarize your experience. Describe the prosocial behaviors you engaged in, others’ reactions to these behaviors, and your assessment of any changes in mood, attitude, good fortune, or anything else of note you experienced.
Review what you have learned about human behavior in social settings this week in your readings. Connect what you learned or experienced through your day of conscious, prosocial behavior with the terms, concepts, and theories from your research. Integrate at least two academic sources (your assigned readings/resources can comprise one of these sources), citing any references used in APA format.
Describe any new insights you gained through this experience about your interactions with others on a daily basis, including any behaviors you wish to change or to continue.
Use the features of PowerPoint to your advantage to communicate your ideas – include pictures, audio recorded narration, speaker’s notes, video, links, etc. as appropriate to enhance your ideas.
Include an APA formatted title slide and reference slide. APA components such as an abstract, headings, etc. are not required since this is a PowerPoint presentation.

Week 6 Discussion

TWO POSTS MINIMUM REQUIRED. BUT, POST AS OFTEN AS YOU WISH.

This week we are going to have a class debate and discussion about the Malden Mills case study. Please review carefully the sources provided in the Malden Mills Resources page.

Our debate and discussion will focus on the following article by Radley Balko, published in 2004:

https://www.cato.org/publications/commentary/altruism-bah-humbug

Read the entire article. Consider the following statement,

“Feuerstein’s pledge to continue paying his workers eventually cost them their jobs, and cost Feuerstein his company. Feuerstein ran out of money, and Malden Mills was forced to declare bankruptcy. Welch, on the other hand, turned GE from a sleepy home-appliance company into an international mega-corporation that today is a leader in several industries. For every job slashed, he eventually created dozens of new ones. For all the praise heaped on Feuerstein and scorn heaped on Welch, it is Welch, not Feuerstein, whose…management style did the most good for the most people.”

And then, Balko closes:

“We need to get away from the notion that unfettered capitalism is amoral or, worse, immoral. As the Welch‐Feuerstein example shows, if we define moral corporate practices as those practices which create the most good for the most people, “ruthless profiteering” is not only not incompatible with morality, it brings about a great deal more morality than altruism does.”

TWO POSTS REQUIRED.

YOU MAY COMMENT ON ANY OF THE TOPICS BELOW. TRY TO DEVELOP A DIALOGUE AND EXPLORE THE ISSUES HERE.

TOPIC ONE, let’s clarify and examine the facts and issues of the case. Does Balko accurately portray the facts?

(Please read the case study carefully. Bradley Balko is a journalist. This is a quote from an article he wrote in 2004. There is more current information on this case in the Case Study resources.)

TOPIC TWO, do you agree with Balko’s position? In answering this question, consider the ‘approach’ to the issue Balko is taking. Is he applying a particular moral theory? (And he may be unaware that he is doing it.) Are there other ways of approaching the issue? What do you think?

TOPIC THREE, consider Balko’s position in terms of ‘ways of life’–Feuerstein’s actions, arguably, flow from his way of life that include deeply held religious beliefs. How might one’s ‘way of life’ influence the way on perceives the issue of whether or not Feuerstein did the ‘right thing’ in paying his workers while the plant was being rebuilt? Also, does Balko’s bias influence his analysis of the facts? Do our deeply held beliefs do that sometimes–influence the way we look at facts and evidence–how we identify evidence, how we interpret evidence? Offer your reflections.

hospitality in ancient Greek is a topic that is very much present in The Iliad. a level english language essay help

Xenia or hospitality in ancient Greek is a topic that is very much present in The Iliad. We see the effects of being hospitable and of being hostile throughout the poem. The Iliad outlines just how important it is to be hospitable to others, and the negative effects being inhospitable has not only for oneself but the world around them. There are many moments throughout the text that highlight that being hospitable to others leads to benefit for the world. One clear example is how book 1 and book 24 differ from each other. Agamemnon refused to give back the priest’s daughter even when offered a ransom (780). This led to his troops being killed by Apollo’s arrows (79) and an argument with the best soldier in his army, Achilles, making him refuse to fight (81-83). In book 24 Achilles gives back the body of the man who killed his close friend happily (605) and offers him time to grieve before starting the war again. Achilles showed hospitality to Priam, and he did not suffer or make others suffer because of this unlike Agamemnon in book 1. The effects of hospitality are also seen in book 6 when Glaucus and Diomedes meet. As Glaucus introduces himself and lineage Diomedes discovers that Glaucus’ grandfather hosted Diomedes’ grandfather and showed him hospitality (209). The two decide not to fight but become friends and exchange gifts (203). All of this shows just how being hospitable to others improves the world around oneself. Since this is such a highlighted topic in The Iliad it is clear that Homer is trying to point out how one ought to be hospitable to others, as the effects of doing so will lead to good in the world that will be seen for generations, and the effects of not doing so will cause harm. It’s important to Think about WHY hospitality is such a key for Homer (or for the Iliad really) – why is THIS what he focuses on in an epic set around a war. You may add any examples but must cite exactly from the book and only the book. Should be about : 1 paragraph – 1 Page for Intro, 2 Page for body, 1 paragraph – 1 page for conclusion (Can add more if necessary)

In our world, we commonly think of gender as just male and female, especially when we’re categorized by things like color and clothing. It seems like we can’t even look at anything without seeing it divided into boys and girls — this is heteronormativity. But the thing is, not everyone identifies as one or the other, or expresses themselves that way. Even if someone “looks” like a guy (also evidence of heteronormativity), they may prefer to use the pronouns “she/her” — and we need to respect that by not misgendering people. Some people identify as genderfluid, which means that your identify (like male or female), can move from one side of the spectrum to the other, and some people are genderless, or identify with neither of the genders that are imposed on people. The most important thing to remember is that everyone’s gender can be unique and everyone’s gender identity, gender orientation, and gender expression is important to respect.

Further, “female” and “male” even as solely biological designations still exclude some people, who are often classified as “intersex.” Intersex means that one’s anatomy or genetics does not line up with typical expectations for either male or female people. Heteronormativity would have society believe that to be intersex is to not be normal — which is simply untrue. For intersex people, doctors and parents have often decided their gender at birth and genital reconstructive surgery is performed to turn what is seen as atypical genitalia into something that is recognizably either male or female. Intersex identity also has its own spectrum, which means that anatomy for an intersex person can be entirely different for another intersex person.

Answer the prompts below (be sure to answer all parts of question.)

What is the difference between heterosexism and homophobia?
Can people change their sexual orientation if they want to? Or are people born with their orientation?
Why do researchers generally recommend using the term “sexual orientation” rather than “sexual preference”?
What are your thoughts about the June 2020 Supreme Court ruling involving employees’ discrimination based on sexual orientation? How does that compare to anti-discrimination laws involving gender, ethnicity/ race? Be sure to support your ideas with research from at least one reputable/ academic source.
Remember to respond to two of your classmates’ initial posts with your own opinions and ideas.

The symptoms of psychotic disorders may appear quite vivid in some patients; with others, symptoms may be barely observable. Additionally, symptoms may overlap among disorders. For example, specific symptoms, such as neurocognitive impairments, social problems, and illusions may exist in patients with schizophrenia but are also contributing symptoms for other psychotic disorders.
For this Assignment, you will analyze a case study related to schizophrenia, another psychotic disorder, or a medication-induced movement disorder.
TO PREPARE:
Review this week’s Learning Resources and consider the insights they provide about assessing and diagnosing psychotic disorders. Consider whether experiences of psychosis-related symptoms are always indicative of a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Think about alternative diagnoses for psychosis-related symptoms.
Download the Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation Template, which you will use to complete this Assignment. Also review the Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation Exemplar to see an example of a completed evaluation document.
By Day 1 of this week, select a specific video case study to use for this Assignment from the Video Case Selections choices in the Learning Resources. View your assigned video case and review the additional data for the case in the “Case History Reports” document, keeping the requirements of the evaluation template in mind.
Consider what history would be necessary to collect from this patient.
Consider what interview questions you would need to ask this patient.
Identify at least three possible differential diagnoses for the patient.
Incorporate the following into your responses in the template:
Subjective: What details did the patient provide regarding their chief complaint and symptomology to derive your differential diagnosis? What is the duration and severity of their symptoms? How are their symptoms impacting their functioning in life?
Objective: What observations did you make during the psychiatric assessment?
Assessment: Discuss the patient’s mental status examination results. What were your differential diagnoses? Provide a minimum of three possible diagnoses with supporting evidence, listed in order from highest priority to lowest priority. Compare the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for each differential diagnosis and explain what DSM-5 criteria rules out the differential diagnosis to find an accurate diagnosis. Explain the critical-thinking process that led you to the primary diagnosis you selected. Include pertinent positives and pertinent negatives for the specific patient case.
Reflection notes: What would you do differently with this client if you could conduct the session over? Also include in your reflection a discussion related to legal/ethical considerations (demonstrate critical thinking beyond confidentiality and consent for treatment!), health promotion and disease prevention taking into consideration patient factors (such as age, ethnic group, etc.), PMH, and other risk factors (e.g., socioeconomic, cultural background, etc.).

PLEASE include more details on symptoms in HPI. For PE, remember to include vital signs. Please also consider cranial nerves and description of respiratory effort. For reflections, what health promotion/disease prevention would you include? Please remember to include at least 3 evidence-based resources less than 5 years old. The video is not evidence-based.
