As you learned in your reading, developmental psychologists employ many types of research methods in order to study development and changes in individuals over time. In this assignment, you will explore one of these research methods in-depth and create a short presentation on your chosen research method.
Select one of the following research methods to explore:
Interviews / Qualitative
Create a short PowerPoint presentation (approximately 6-8 slides) in which you:
Describe your chosen research method.
Explain under what circumstances this research method would be used in the field of psychology.
Identify at least one benefit of using this method, as well as at least one drawback of using this method.
Describe a topic in developmental psychology that you would be interested in studying and how you would use your chosen research method to study that topic. Be specific! Describe who your population would be, how you would collect your data, how you would analyze your data, any independent/dependent variables, etc. Demonstrate your understanding of this research method.
You must cite a minimum of one outside source within your presentation. Include APA-formatted in-text citations within your slides, and also include a slide at the end with a list of references in APA format.
Keep in mind that I’m not looking for you to copy and paste information from the reading/websites and stick it into your slides. You can use a direct quote if you feel you need to, but it must have quotation marks around it to indicate that it is a direct quote. Everything else will need to be in your own words (paraphrase), followed by an in-text citation to indicate where the information came from. I want to see your writing, not what you’ve copied and pasted from other writers. Read the Purdue OWL’s helpful guide on paraphrasing. At least 80% of your assignment needs to be in your own words.
Note: You will need to create a PowerPoint presentation for this class. If you haven’t taken advantage of this opportunity to get MS Office for free, you should do so now.
Go to this website Student Technology Discounts (Student) for directions on installing the latest version of MS Office for free. You may activate MS Office on up to five computers with your Broward College Office 365 user ID.

This is the first of three stock journal assignments you will complete during this course. Save your assignment templates from this assignment and update them for the assignments in Weeks 8 and 10.
For this assignment, use the two provided templates:
In one template, enter your chosen companies, the share prices, and the number of shares you will be purchasing, given your budget of $25,000.
In the other template, write your rationale/summary.
Download both templates. Then, complete, save, and upload both templates at the same time to Blackboard when submitting your work.
Note: Watch the Excel tutorial videos linked in this week to learn how to use Excel before attempting the assignment. You can use the template provided, or you may create your own template based on the one provided.
Capital markets and the ability to raise funds for corporate uses are essential to the U.S. economic system. For this assignment, imagine you have $25,000 to invest in U.S. companies. You are buying used stock.
You are investing, or buying, the stock because you believe the three companies you choose will make money and pay you a dividend in cash. Each share of stock you buy entitles you to any dividend declared and a vote at the annual stockholders’ meeting.
The stocks you choose also give you the ability to earn your money back by selling the stock. Of course, investing in stocks is risky, and there is the possibility that the stock you buy will be worth less when you want your money back. The company is not obligated to give you any of your money back. You will only get your money back if another investor wants to buy your stock.
Using the above scenario and the resources listed below, complete the following directions for your Week 3 Stock Journal entry:
Use your knowledge and experience to select three publicly traded U.S. companies.
Make sure you are practicing good diversification. Diversification means you are not selecting three companies from the same industry. For example, you would not want to choose Target, Walmart, and Sam’s Club because they sell the same types of products. A better choice would be Amazon, Uber, and Kroger, because they sell different products and services.
You may wish to visit Statistics, Surveys and Government Resources to find such companies. For stock price information, you may use the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, Yahoo! Finance, or The Wall Street Journal.
Determine how you will divide $25,000 across the three companies (for example, $10,000 in Company 1, $10,000 in Company 2, and $5,000 in Company 3).
Decide the amount you are investing in each company. You need not provide any analysis to justify your decisions.
Provide a reason for picking each company.
For example, you might invest in Ford because that company gets a lot of your money, and you hear that Ford is doing well and will continue to do well.
Identify the number of shares you are buying and the price of the shares you are buying for each company.
Once you decide the companies and the amount you will invest in each company, determine how many shares you can buy. For example, if Company 1 is selling for $42.16, then you may buy $10,000/$42.16, or 237.19 shares. But you cannot buy a part of a share, so you decide to buy either 237 or 238. In this example, you buy 237 shares at $42.16 per share, investing $9,991.92. You will not be able to buy exactly $10,000, or $5,000, or $25,000, but it will be relatively close.
Go to the Strayer University Research page to locate and incorporate at least two quality sources into this assignment.
Submit the two following documents at the same time for your journal assignment submission. Note that you will update your template in Weeks 3, 8, and 10. Save the template after you have entered your figures so that your selected stocks growth or decline can be tracked.

Note: Some cells in the Excel template are locked to prevent the formulas from being disturbed. The cells you need to complete this assignment are not locked. You may create your own templates, however, it is recommended that you use the templates provided.

Summarize these ideas in one paragraph, then in a second paragraph, provide an assessment of Fish argument: do you agree, disagree, or partially agree/disagree. Provide substantial reasons for your response.

Create a mentoring program that you would like to implement in your department. Make sure to select from the following types of programs:
Reverse Mentoring, i.e., younger employees mentoring older employees on technology or social media applications.
Peer Mentoring Groups
Write up a proposal for your command staff using the Mentoring Program Rubric. Your written project should be written in APA format, however, if you would rather write it in more of a “memo” form (i.e. agency letterhead, etc.), that would be acceptable also. It should be typed, double-spaced, and using Times-New Roman 12-point font. It is also recommended that your project be at least 5-7 pages in length, not including a cover page or references (which are also strongly suggested to be included in your proposal).
Here are some of the central areas that need to be addressed in your Mentoring Project Proposal:
1. What is the “design” of your program going to look like? What is/are your justification(s) for your program? Why is it needed? Who will be benefitting from the mentoring program? What “costs” (if any) will there be and how will that be addressed?
2. How are you planning on attracting participants to your program? Will it be voluntary? Mandated? Will there be any “incentives” for participants? If so, what? If not, why?
3. What is the strategy for connecting mentors and mentees together? How will any issues (i.e. personality, etc.) be mitigated?
4. What is the process for guiding mentor relations? How will your program be monitored? And by whom?
5. How are you going to measure if your program is or has been a success?

Hi the following needs to be added/ revised from this discussion.
there are a number of issues here that I want to point out. First off, there was no case study which was required. Also, your model is not clear. I think you may be a bit confused about what the antecedents are, which is why these populations need mental health care (higher levels of stress, trauma, cultural assimilation). Then the attributes are not clearly defined in the model and you did not explain what the consequence of not receiving mental health care (alcoholism, depression, suicide etc).

Main Question Post
Post an explanation of your position as to whether social psychology research on confessions and eyewitness testimony should be allowed as evidence to persuade judges and jurors in court cases. Be sure to justify your position with support from social psychology theory and research.
I do believe social psychology research on confessions and eyewitness testimony should be allowed as evidence to persuade judges and jurors in court cases. Social psychologists testify on factors and the reliability of eyewitness memory and how familiarity can affect the decisions of the jury (Cutler et al., 2011). According to Wells (2020), eyewitness identification used in courts has led to hundreds of innocent people getting convicted which was not a shock to psychological scientists. Current practices in eyewitness identification are the use of photo arrays and live lineups (Dysart, 2018). With photos arrays and live lineups, the eyewitness must choose the person the suspect is the defendant. Some people chose familiar faces they have stored in their memories. This could be a face they’ve seen in newspapers, social media, or even on the streets. According to McLeod (2013), memory occurs when we draw on our past experiences in order to use this information in the present. We could use the Information Processing theory to understand why social psychological research should be used in cases with eyewitnesses. A witness’s role is to attend, perceive, store, retrieve, and then communicate and filing this information or confirming experiences with others make memories more vulnerable (Dysart, 2018). According to Dysart (2018), errors in attention, perception, contamination, storage, and retrieval is why witnesses make mistakes. It could be difficult for witnesses to disentangle original memories.

Jason began playing Hockey at about age 10 when his best friend began taking lessons at the local ice essay help: essay help
Jason began playing Hockey at about age 10 when his best friend began taking lessons at the local ice rink. Jason’s hockey career continued though middle and high school but ended abruptly in college when he began struggling to handle a full load of courses while majoring in electrical engineering. Jason’s life continued with graduation, job, wife, and children. It was not until his son reached the age of 10 and showed an interest in hockey that Jason decided to join an adult league at the age of 43.
Jason’s team played during late hours since that was the only time available after work at the rink. Jason loved the feeling of skating fast around the rink and realized he still retained some muscle memory of the skill he once had in high school. He also enjoyed taking his son to public skating sessions on the weekends to share his knowledge about the sport.
It was a rainy Saturday afternoon during a public session when Jason took a quick turn on the ice and felt something pop in his left knee. He immediately felt a sharp pain and his knee felt weak. He called his son over and told him they had to leave the session early.
Jason sat on a bench in the lobby for about 15 minutes to see if his knee would feel better.
“Maybe I just tweaked it a little” he thought to himself.
“Maybe it will feel better if I just sit for a little while.”
He pulled up his pants leg to examine his knee and observed the swelling and redness.
“This doesn’t look good,” he thought.
Back at home, Jason rested on the sofa with an ice pack on his left knee. He debated what to do next. Should he just try to tough it out or should he go to the emergency room.
He decided to ask his wife.
“Molly, could you come over here and take a look at my knee?”
Molly entered the room and saw the swollen left knee.
“I think you should go to the hospital” she said. “This looks like more than just a pulled muscle.”
“The swelling keeps getting worse and I can’t put much weight on it” exclaimed Jason.
“Get in the car, I’m taking you,” said Molly.
At the Hospital
The ER doctor examined Jason’s knee.
Here are the findings:
Pain, redness and swelling of the left knee.
Positive Anterior Drawer test of the left knee.
Reduced range of motion.
Positive Lachman test of the left knee.
Positive Apley’s compression test of the left knee.
The ER doctor ordered an X-ray and MRI of Jason’s left knee.
Answer the following questions about the case:
What tissues/structures could be damaged in Jason’s injury?
What do the Anterior Drawer, Lachman’s, and Apley’s tests indicate?
What would an MRI and Xray show?
What is your working diagnosis?
What do you think would be the degree of this injury (first, second, or third)?
What would be a good treatment plan for this injury?

The last sentence in this paragraph should include a transitional hook to tie into the second paragraph of the body.
Body — Second paragraph

The first sentence of this paragraph should include the reverse hook which ties in with the transitional hook at the end of the first paragraph of the body.
