PART ONE Guidelines and Rubric
This course explores wellness and its impact on the world around us. Wellness influences society, and society influences wellness, creating a feedback loop
between them. We will critically analyze this feedback loop in this course through social, historical, and theoretical approaches to wellness as well as the four
general education lenses: history, humanities, natural and applied sciences, and social sciences. Each of these four perspectives allows us to better understand
the construction of wellness and its interrelation with society. From this enhanced understanding, you will be equipped to draw connections between wellness
and your personal and professional lives, helping you to become a better-informed citizen who can make a positive difference in the world.
Wellness has a pervading influence into many aspects of society, which requires diverse knowledge and perspectives to investigate and change. The purpose of
this project is to examine a specific issue or event in wellness and how it impacts individuals and society through the development of a critical analysis portfolio
and a presentation in which you will demonstrate your ability to think critically, investigate, and communicate clearly. These skills are often necessary to achieve
personal and professional goals across many disciplines.
In this assignment, you will demonstrate your mastery of the following course outcomes:
• Analyze the various components of wellness for investigating their influence of wellness on one’s discipline of study or chosen profession
• Integrate interdisciplinary approaches for determining the impact contemporary issues in healthcare systems have on modern society
• Recommend potential applications of strategies for monitoring and enhancing personal and public wellness
• Assess cultural and social attitudes, choices, and behaviors for their implications to lifelong health and wellness through the incorporation of
diverse perspectives and viewpoints informed by relevant literature and peer experiences
For the first part of this project, I selected Wellness of Children and COVID-19 as the specific issue or event in wellness and critically analyze it through the four general education lenses: history,
humanities, social sciences, and natural and applied sciences. Through viewing the issue or event through these lenses, you will gain insight into how the
interconnected nature of wellness affects society as well as both your own individual framework of perception and the choices, attitudes, and behaviors of
others in the world around you. You will compile your analyses within a portfolio that will include an analysis of each lens, plus introduction and conclusion
paragraphs. Altogether, this portfolio should be 6 to 8 pages long, not counting references. Within your portfolio, each analysis should be 3 to 5 paragraphs long.
Be sure to support your analyses with appropriate and relevant evidence from theory and research.
Specifically, you must address the critical elements listed below. Most of the critical elements align with a particular course outcome (shown in brackets).
I. Introduction: For this part of the assessment, you will examine the role of the individual in a global society and how issues of wellness influence aspects
of culture and the individual. You will explore topics that have been discussed in this course (sociology of wellness, psychological wellness, identity and
wellness, wellness and socioeconomic status, etc.) to help guide your analysis.
A. Topic: Using the four lenses, explain how an issue or event within wellness has or has not influenced modern society. [see module overview attachments]
II. Lens Analysis: In this part of the assessment, you will analyze your chosen issue or event (wellness of children and covid-19) through each of the following lenses to determine its impact on
various institutions, using evidence and research to support each analysis:
A. History [see attached pdf with lens descriiption]
B. Humanities [see attached pdf with lens descriiption]
C. Natural and Applied Sciences [see attached pdf with lens descriiption]
D. Social Sciences [see attached pdf with lens descriiption]
A. Explain how integrating the four lenses helps understand how problems in wellness impact both professional and personal context. [see mod 2 attachments]
B. Analyze how social practices have been shaped by issues and events in wellness in modern culture. [see mod 2 attachments]
C. Using relevant research or diverse perspectives, assess the benefits and challenges of addressing issues in wellness. [see mod 6 attachments ]
D. Explain how analyzing wellness can help interactions with those of a different viewpoint, culture, and perspective. [see mod 4 attachments]
Your portfolio must be 6 to 8 pages in length (plus a cover page and references) and written in APA format. Use double-spaced, 12-
point Times New Roman font, and one-inch margins. Include references cited in APA format. Submit your portfolio in a single Word document.
My issue/event is ‘Wellness of Children and COVID-19’
For Final Project Part Two, you will develop a multimedia presentation in which you will have a chance to reflect on what you have learned about your issue or
event, yourself, and society through analyzing your event or issue’s impact on wellness. You will also be able to apply your communication skills and integrate
multimedia elements to communicate your message to an audience.
In developing this presentation, you will be able to use your analyses from Final Project Part One as a starting point. The reflective nature of this activity prompts
you to dig deeper and consider the implications posed by the critical analysis of your issue or event in wellness. How does studying wellness affect how you
understand yourself as well as the world around you? You’ll also be challenged to incorporate a dash of creativity to enhance your message.
Multimedia Presentation: For this PART TWO of the project, you will create a multimedia presentation that incorporates audio narration and visuals to
articulate how critically analyzing your issue or event in wellness impacts your own framework of perception and ability to constructively engage in society.
NOTE: I will need a transcriipt so I can input the audio narration for each slide
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Issue/Event: For this section of your presentation, you will introduce the issue or event and how it relates to issues of wellness and any of the topics that
have been discussed in the course.
A. Using appropriate research strategies, describe a social or global issue or event that is related to issues of wellness. [see mod 3 attachments]
i. What is the origin of the issue?
ii. What is the issue about?
B. Using appropriate research strategies, describe the impact of the issue or event on society. [see mod 3 attachments]
i. Who is impacted by the issue?
ii. What is important to know about those who are impacted by the issue?
C. Using relevant research or diverse perspectives, assess how society impacts the chosen issue. [see mod 6 attachments]
II. Yourself: This section of your presentation explores how studying wellness influences your individual framework of perception with respect to your
discipline of Psychology with a concentration of children/adolescents.
A. How has critically analyzing your issue or event in wellness informed your individual framework of perception? Consider how your analysis has
altered the way you perceive the world. [see mod 5 attachments]
B. How can critically analyzing wellness influence your field of study or profession (psychology with a concentration of children/adolescents)? How can studying wellness inform your understanding of the
next big topic of study in your field or profession in the next five to ten years? [see mod 1 attachment]
III. Society: This section of your presentation explores how studying wellness enhances your ability to engage constructively in society.
A. How does critically analyzing wellness add value to how you interact with people and understand social or global issues or events? Supplement
your reasoning with examples. [see mod 4 attachments]
Guidelines for Submission: Your multimedia presentation should be approximately 10 to 12 slides and 8 to 12 minutes in length. You are required to include a
combination of text, visuals, and sound in order to support your work. Support your presentation with relevant resources cited in APA format and noted on a
separate slide. If you require alternative accommodations for completing this assignment, reach out to your instructor directly for more information.
Note: Turnitin, the originality report feature used in the course, is not able to check PowerPoint submissions for plagiarism. Thus, you should submit your speaker
notes in a separate Word document. Both files (PowerPoint and Word) can be submitted through the Final Project Part Two submission item.

Cultural Narrative modeled after “Of Cholos and Surfers” by Jack Lopez
(3 pages, 900 words)
Write a Cultural Narrative Essay. Choose a story that fits the scope of the essay and has a purpose. Remember to include concrete, sensory details.
Focus on one incident that occurred in the past that spanned a day, a couple days, or at most, a week. Use specific, vivid, concrete details to describe this single incident. Be sure to include 1-3 lines of dialogue in the crisis, which should be situated in Paragraph 3.
Your thesis statement should mention a conflict regarding a cultural identifier and an expression of it, along with a preview of three events in the essay that follow the narrative arc.
Example of process of determining the thesis (rough draft of thesis):
One time that I learned how to resolve an aspect of my cultural identity (in this case, it is ethnicity, but it is not necessary to write it here) with peer pressure (the conflict) was when I was 1) confronted about my name (this is the expression of the cultural identifier), 2) experienced bullying for being different, and 3) decided that I liked being a hybrid.
The actual thesis statement would then look like this:
One time that I learned how to resolve an aspect of my cultural identity with peer pressure was when I was challenged regarding my name, bullied on the playground, and realized that I liked being different.
You are encouraged to be creative when composing your thesis (and your essay!), but please be sure that the necessary elements are present and the organizational structure is followed.
The essay should contain:
An introductory paragraph with a thesis statement and three supporting details;
Three body paragraphs that address the supporting details with specific evidence;
A conclusion paragraph that summarizes the thesis statement and mentions the supporting details, along with a personal component that wraps up the main theme of the essay.
The essay will be evaluated in terms of unity, support, coherence, and sentence skills. There should be no research involved in this essay, as it is all about YOU!

The Bible provides countless references and insight to financial topics including budgeting, investing, and wealth management. Individual authors often cite that the Bible contains “over 2300” verses dealing with money-related references. Some of these verses provide specific financial guidance while others provide an overarching Biblical principle for a fulfilling lifestyle. The four verses that follow are a reference to a foundational principle and three which are oriented to specific financial guidance.
Overarching Biblical Principle
“I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (King James Bible, 1769/2017, Exodus 20:2-3 KJV).
Have you ever met an individual in the financial profession or any individual investor who is obsessed with finances? They wake in the morning to check the pre-market movement. They watch all day to the nuanced advances in sectors. They may calculate multiple financial metrics daily to include: TRIN (which is the ratio of average trading volume in declining issues to average volume in advancing issue), Sharpe ratio (a statistic used to rank portfolios using risk-return trade-off), probability distributions, and alpha (a set of securities’ expected excess return when the market is zero) ( (Bodie et al., 2021, pp. 125, 272, 6.11).
The same individuals might also look to Harry Markowitz, William Sharpe, or Eugene Famma for insight in their quest to “beat the market.” Harry Markowitz says, “Even if you could use God’s own probability distribution of returns on securities, there still wouldn’t be one perfect portfolio” (UCS Rady School of Management, 2012). One might suggest Markowitz simply has never had God’s input but at least he recognizes even his Nobel Prize-winning work is fallible.
For those that spend countless hours on technical analysis, we viewed a video interview with Vince Stanzione regarding the “Random Walk Theory.” When asked to reply to the statement, “Technical analysis is a mathematically accurate representation of past prices, it has no bearing whatsoever on future prices,” Stanzione, at the 4:20 of the interview stated, “yes, that’s actually true” (UKspreadbetting, 2016).
I use Markowitz’s and Stanzione’s quotes not to suggest one should disregard the financial theories presented; we also read in Proverbs, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed (KJV, Proverbs 15:22). I use these examples to support the notion that there is no perfect solution. One must study, research, and formulate a disciplined approach for their investing advice but recognize the point at which the quest becomes an obsession, an “idol.”
Specific Financial Principle
“For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish?”(King James Bible, 1769/2017, Luke 14:28-30)
What is the plan? We can look to an investment account to apply these verses from Luke. Every individual is unique and their retirement goals can vary greatly. Today, a 30-year-old with 37 years to retirement might calculate a need of a 5% average annual rate of return (ROR) on their contributions to meet their goals. According to the modern portfolio theory, there is an efficient diversification across asset types to achieve a stated ROR with the least risk (Bodie et al., 2021, p. 111). One can use an investment opportunity set to graphically show this diversified allocation. Is there any incentive to attempt to target a higher rate of return because of a long time horizon? There exists such a mix of assets but with this increase in ROR comes an increased standard deviation (risk). In planning the tower (retirement) one must first count the costs (develop a plan) and find if one can finish. If you can finish then begin the foundation (implement the plan). If you cannot, redesign the tower.
Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty (King James Bible, 1769/2017, Proverbs 21:5).
Investors who develop a plan with diligence often behave with confidence. One’s confidence may come from spiritual contentment in their faith. It may also come or be supported by one’s education and experience. Confidence in one’s plan increases the likelihood of sticking with the plan through stressful times and might increase the probability of success. However, behavioral finance may impact one’s ability to make optimal decisions (Bodie et al., 2021, p. 258). Heuristics are not a solution for the diligent, and many other behavioral tendencies may harm investing outcomes. The list of behavioral issues includes subsets of behavioral biases and information processing. How does one limit the effect of overconfidence or framing? Although no one is immune from behavioral issues, diligence builds a wall of confidence that minimizes hasty decisions.
“Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land (King James Bible, 1769/2017, Ecclesiastes 11:2).
Countless financial gurus advocate individual stock picking as an investing strategy. For example, any one of these who recommended Amazon (AMZN) as the stock to buy on May of 1997 would now boast of a 210,496% return ($1.51 on 31MAY1997, $3180.07 on 10FEB2022) (Morningstar, 2022). However, during this time frame, Amazon lost 94% of its value from December 1999 to October 2001 ($106.59 on 10DEC1999, $6.01 on 01OCT2001) (Morninstar, 2022). Please reply to this thread that must be 450 to 500 words, and include 2 peer-reviewed references and one biblical integration,. A large part of wealth management is deciding how much of a budget sh best essay help: best essay help
A large part of wealth management is deciding how much of a budget should be allocated to spending, saving, paying taxes, investing, and paying off debt. Biblical stewardship is allocating the money that God has entrusted us with by asking Him for guidance and wisdom. Wise financial decisions should include avoiding debt, setting long-term goals, building margin, spending less than you earn, and giving cheerfully and generously. When making these financial decisions, it is important to remember that God owns it all. 1 Corinthians 10:26 says, “For, ‘The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it’”.
Regarding debt, the Bible teaches in Proverbs 22:7 that, “The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender”. It is important to avoid debt, save up for large purchases, and pay down current debt that has high interest payments. Consumerism is rampant and is defined as excessive materialism (Amanda, 2018). Before making a large purchase, it is important to evaluate the costs. In Luke 14:28, Jesus says, “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?” Additionally, it may be necessary to sell possessions that are causing debt in order to free up money to use for different budget items.
Regarding giving, the Bible calls us to have open hands for the glory of God instead of holding firm to this world, the possessions we currently have, or the potential money we could make through investing. God commands us to give and 1 Corinthians 16:2 says, “On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.” God also tells us the attitude we should have while giving. 2 Corinthians 9:7 states, “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”.
A large part of creating an investment strategy is deciding how to allocate the money amongst different investment vehicles. While high returns may seem appealing, it is important to consider the risk associated with each investment. The yield curve shows that as risk increases for an investment, the yield also increases for the investment. Investors must decide how much of their wealth to put at risk based upon the trade-off between risk and return (Bodie et al., 2022). Each individual security in the portfolio must be analyzed to determine how it is contributing to the portfolio’s overall risk and return (Bodie et al., 2022). For instance, money market instruments typically have lower returns and risk than equity investments that typically have higher returns and risk (Bodie et al., 2022). One method of analyzing these investments is by determining the standard deviation of returns (Borsboom

Educators can use the results of summative assessments to support their teaching, provide additional feedback to students, identify strengths and needs, and hold students and schools accountable for what has been learned. For example, an educator may use the results of a multiple-choice summative assessment to determine which students are most potent in a specific subject so that they can provide additional help to these students. Healthcare, in general, is a multi-dimensional system that includes many working parts such as the patient, healthcare workers, stakeholders, health system organization, insurance companies, healthcare facilities/organizations, and the Government. With that in mind, it is important that strategic planning is done. Strategic health planning involves creating objectives and setting goals for where a healthcare organization would like to go in the future and then constructing a plan to achieve these objectives. With strategic planning, it is important to take into consideration the rapid changes in technology.
Refine an understanding of strategic planning and digital health.
Include the following aspects in the discussion:
What are the fundamentals of digital health (provide an example with an explanation of their uses), and why is it important?
Discuss how strategic planning varies from healthcare to business.
How does strategic planning affect advances in digital health?
Discuss in detail what type of leadership is needed to bring forth strategic planning for digital health.
Discuss the importance of regulating digital health.
REPLY TO MY CLASSMATE’S DISCUSSION TO THE ABOVE QUESTION AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU AGREE. (MINIMUM OF 200 WORDS)
Strategic planning in healthcare essentially is setting goals, calculating projections, and creating a plan to achieve said goals for the future of the healthcare company. This is achieved by taking into account every sector of the organization so that the organization as a whole continues to progress, function, and benefit, as well as the progression and regulation of digital health to support the organization.
The digital future for health care is a rapidly emerging certainty; the goal of evaluating and implementing innovative digital technology should be core to any healthcare organization’s strategic planning process. Following are four tactics healthcare executives can use to integrate technology into systemwide planning. Such integrated planning forces leadership teams to be deliberate with investments, identifying and funding initiatives likely to most effectively position the organization for success. The need for integrated planning might seem like common sense, but the fact is many organizations continue to perform planning and capital decision making for IT as a separate process. (Shaikh, 2018)
Understand the current state:
To determine the right level and type of technology investment, leadership teams must understand their organizations’ current strategic-financial position. A well-prepared organization has an IT platform that enables clinical decision making, convenient access points for consumers, information management, and facile communications for all stakeholders (e.g., clinicians, patients, and managers). (Shaikh, 2018)
Define a desired future technology state and the key gaps that impede it:
· It is important to understand where the organization wishes to go and the technology that will be required to get there. Extensive input from across the organization is required to define the desired strategic business and clinical capabilities and the technology that will drive and support such capabilities. (Shaikh, 2018)
Create and implement an actionable roadmap:
· This “roadmap” defines how the organization will fill the gaps identified through the preceding analysis to achieve its desired future state. To successfully turn the corner on building the access, integration, and data-driven capabilities to move up the continuum from being a traditional investor in IT to becoming an innovator, health systems must invest in: reporting/analytics, patient access, RCM, supply chain, technology changes and management, optimization of clinical systems, network connectivity, population health, point of service, cybersecurity, sales and marketing, and ancillary services. MGT/BUS 301 Business Ethics Application Paper #1, 100 points, 3 – 4 content pages minimum (plus a source page), double-spaced, 12 font, Times Roman. Put your finished work (with your name on the paper) into a Word document and
Spell check and proofread your paper. Use either APA or MLA (whichever your campus prefers) and add Works Cited documentation for all sources. For online articles and textbook – it is enough to say, “Ghillyer, p. 25” or “ibtimes.” Late papers and papers that it is obvious the student did not spell/grammar check, will be docked points.

Look up the following online articles:
Peloton insiders sold nearly $500 million in stock before its big drop (nbcnews.com)
Peloton saw its stock price collapse and now faces tough questions about its post-pandemic future – The Washington Post
Peloton hires McKinsey to review cost structure as equipment sales slow (cnbc.com)
TV Peloton incidents undermine a basic reality about exercise, experts say – CNN
* * * * * *
YOU ARE ENCOURAGED to use additional articles (from recognized sources) to support your paper. Make sure you include all of your sources in your bibliography (source page) and give credit in your paper.
Remember – this is not about your opinion – it is about your ability to analyze an ethical situation and process the information so that you can explain why you believe what you believe (Dobrin #8).
To do that you take the information from Ghillyer and the class and use it to analyze the articles. You should only use the words, “I think” if they are followed by, “because such and such points out the following fact, idea or concept…”
Please note this paper is about applying Dobrin and Kohlberg to an ethical situation (so you need to understand Dobrin and Kohlberg AND use them in the paper.) It also means if Dobrin and Kohlberg are not mentioned in your paper – chances are you did not understand the assignment or chose not to follow the instructions – and your grade will reflect that.
* * * * * *
The paper MUST contain all four key points: 23 points each 6 discretionary points for how well you integrate the class information with Dobrin and Kohlberg and 2 points for including a source page.
1) Create an outline to list the ethical challenges (23 points)
Note the perspective of the different authors in all the articles (you should have 6 when you are done). Use bullet points to list the article’s perspective. Each article has a very specific point of view. List the main point each article is calling your attention to. This is “the truth” from that particular author/corporation/news source.
Peleton Insiders Article: $… in stock sold by… The author believes…
Analyze the different points – what do they have in common, where are they different, how different are they, are any of the points spot on from everyone’s view – are others “just theory” and are any so far off the mark they are “fiction.”
2) What is the One Favorite from each Article (23 points)
Read between the lines (Dobrin 2) and list specifically what the “one favorite” is for the various stakeholders: Peleton Execs, Wall Street, The Media, Peleton Uses, and any other groups mentioned. Use the Toothpaste Tube Test to see what they value, why they value it and whether or not it is the best thing for everyone (or just them.)
3) Apply tools from Kohlberg, Dobrin or Badaracco (23 points)
You do not need to apply all of them – they don’t all fit. Identify specifics about:
1) what the various sides claim
2) what they say is the real problem
3) whether or not the problem should/can be solved
Document your information using quotes from the articles and note which of Dobrin or Kohlberg’s theories you are applying.
Remember – Dobrin is about analyzing why someone (or an organization) is doing something so you can understand their thought process (their one thing). Kohlberg is about understanding where they are in the development of ethics. Are they doing something because someone told them to do it (no thinking involved), doing something because it gets them what they want (some thinking involved), or doing something because it is the right thing to do (or at least the right thing for them) which requires a lot of thinking and often some sacrifice.
4) Now summarize your paper from your perspective 23 points.
Based on your analysis – from an ethical point of view utilizing the various tools at your disposal and the theories you have applied – what is this all about? Why is it a news article? Why have people taken different sides? Be Specific. This is where you say “this is what I think – and here is why I think that (Dobrin 8)…”
Important notes: Ethics is often not about a clear Right or Wrong (as much as we would like it to be.) Sometimes you have to choose the “Most Correct” answer or the answer that benefits the most people (Utilitarianism). However, there are other options such as situational ethics and universal ethics. Rarely does someone do something solely because it is the right thing to do – most often; they stand to benefit either directly or indirectly. This is what you are trying to discover – who are the players, what do each of them stand to gain or lose, what are their claims, are those claims true and what are the possible outcomes.
Make sure your name is on the paper and your pages are numbered!
You will NOT be graded on a “right or wrong” answer. You will be graded on how well you analyze the articles and apply what you have learned so far in the class.
You are expected to use Kohlberg and/or Dobrin in your work (so make sure you point out their stages in your analysis). Integrate the principle into your discussion. Do not use all of the principles – just use the ones that make sense and prove your point.
Also, and this is very important, note why Dobrin or Kohlberg helped you understand or analyze that particular section. Part of each section’s points will be based on whether or not you used their tools to analyze the subject from a business ethics point of view. Make sure you clearly point out that you are using Dobrin and Kohlberg!
Think – learn – adapt – apply and have fun. This is your first Application Paper so I don’t expect perfection (remember, this class is about learning to process).
The world needs to change. Can you be a person that helps lead necessary change in the business world? I believe you can – now you get to prove me right.

A) McCullough’s introduction to “Medieval Recluse-Memoirists” in Classical Japanese Prose pp. 377-379
B) Kamo no Chomei’s text from the year 1212, Hojoki (An Account of My Heritage,) in McCullough’s Classical Japanese Prose pp. 379-392. Kamo no Chômei creates a hermitage that is both a refuge from the world and an expression of the world of sensitive aesthetics that he has left behind. It is also eerily resonant with our own particular moment.
How does reading the Hojoki (translated by McCullough as An Account of My Hermitage) resonate with your own experiences of covid-19 and living through a pandemic? An early section of the text (section 2, p.380-387) describes a series of cascading natural and man-made disasters. If you were to create an updated ‘Hojoki 2020’ what would you include on your list? In response to personal career disappointments and societal deterioration, the narratorial voice of the text chooses voluntary isolation and simple living; how does this compare with your experiences of living in “safe at home”/”shelter in place”/”safer at home”/etc. conditions? From the point of view of your own experiences, what do you think of the narrator’s lifestyle choices in the face of profound suffering and historic changes that he experiences personally and witnesses in his society? Did you feel a sense of beauty, pleasure, wisdom and clarity in the ending of the text (section 4, p.390-392) and can you envision such a resolution for our own pandemic moment? If not, why not? If so, how?
Two things to make sure you include in your work this week:
You can and should definitely use “I” in your response. I want to hear what you think and feel!
Quote from Hojoki to help substantiate and enrich your response. When doing this, be sure that you do not leave the quotations hanging alone to do all your analytical connections; examine and interpret them thoroughly.

Jacob is a janitor/handyman in a small apartment complex where Peter lives. Police suspect that Peter is dealing drugs, but they have no probable cause for a warrant. One night, while they’re watching the apartment, the officers notice Jacob enter apartments using his master key so he can do minor repairs. They approach Jacob and ask if he’s ever seen drugs or paraphernalia in Peter’s apartment. Jacob says he hasn’t. The officers thank him for his time and tell him that if he ever sees anything illegal, he should call the police.
The next day, while Peter is at work, Jacob enters the apartment and searches through the closets. He finds a shoebox full of cash and a suitcase that contains bricks of cocaine wrapped in plastic. He takes everything to the police. Based on this evidence, police arrest Peter for drug trafficking. Peter moves to suppress the evidence Jacob uncovered, arguing that it was an illegal search.

1. Introduction: For this final assignment you condense two previous papers into a single research paper and then add online essay help
For this final assignment you condense two previous papers into a single research paper and then add 3 substantive recommendations on how you propose that domestic intelligence can be employed more effective to support the HSE to stop terrorist attacks. This is essentially what you need to know to write this final paper. The only portion that will be graded is this 3rd assignment new material.
2. Full Spectrum Domestic Intelligence to Counter Terrorism within the Homeland:
Develop a comprehensive 6-8 page final paper summarizing the content and research from your first two papers, and then make at least three substantive recommendations on how to prevent or thwart your selected terrorist group from succeeding in their hypothetical attack on the United States homeland. Use the Organizational Profile (Red Cell paper) you prepared for your Midterm Assignment and combine it with the Progress Assignment you prepared about collecting and analyzing on that group (making all necessary changes based on instructor feedback) and melding them both into one seamless research paper that also adds a major new section to address your specific recommendations to counter your selected terrorist organization’s planned attack in the homeland. Make sure your recommendations are focused only on what happens within the homeland as this is not a foreign policy or international relations course. The recommendations need to be something new or enacting a policy or procedure that is not already in place (do not describe how we already protect the homeland or discuss what current agencies do). Be original or cite ideas from others on how to adapt or reform how intelligence can better support homeland security here domestically to stop your hypothetical attack. Also, make sure your recommendations address a role for state and local agencies (as we discussed in week 4).
The focus of this paper is to address how intelligence, law enforcement and homeland security officials from all three levels of government can prevent or disrupt this attack here in the U.S. (not overseas) by clearly specifying your recommendations of counter-measures to stop or interdict the terrorists here at home before the attack occurs. Employ all that you have learned about intelligence to support Homeland Security and feel free to express your own opinions when making recommendations for Homeland Security intelligence. Just listing what the government already does to collect and analyze and conduct law enforcement on the terrorism threat to the Homeland is not sufficient — make some original or even controversial proposals if you like. Do not discuss defensive or protective measures such as increasing physical security — the thrust of your recommendations needs to be focused on domestic intelligence (that is what this class is about). You can recommend a change to policy, procedure or an organizational change to how the IC (or an individual agency) supports the homeland which directly contributes to stopping a terrorist attack. Feel free to make radical proposals or even changes to existing laws, but do not make proposals that are illegal or unconstitutional (but you can propose changing a law). Remember your hypothetical attack was supposed to be imminent (in the immediate future), so longer term proposals may not be viable for this paper.
Your paper needs to clearly identify your three homeland security intelligence and law enforcement recommendations at the end of your paper before your conclusions, and include specific section headings for each recommendation with the short title for each recommendation. Your proposals to stop a terrorist attack are the heart of your final assignment, this will be the primary criteria for grading this paper and the comprehensive and culminating event for this course. You must use sections headings like these:
Recommendation 1: Your idea to improve homeland security (domestic) intelligence and law enforcement to specifically stop this impending attack; only what you think should be done at home — DO NOT make overseas recommendations. All three must be homeland intelligence focused proposals and not address anything going on abroad — that is not the subject of this course.
Recommendation 2: Make sure at least one recommendation includes a role for the all-important state and local agencies (week 4).
Recommendation 3: Intelligence is about collecting, analyzing, collaborating, sharing/disseminating, etc, so your recommendations must fall somewhere within the intelligence cycle/process we covered about in week 3. Do NOT make recommendations about increased security measures or ‘force protection’ and defensive approaches — remember this course is about INTELLIGENCE (which is proactive / preventative, not protective / reactive).
Make sure your ideas are original and something you think the government can do better related to intelligence — not status quo or what we are already doing. If you are at a total loss for ideas about how intelligence could stop an attack or be improved with domestic homeland security intelligence, then I suggest looking back over the required reading in week 4 on Fusion Centers for Homeland Security in the section on recommendations on page 24, or consider Challenges and Way Ahead (chapter 12) in the book by Buckley (2014) titled Managing Intelligence: A Guide for Law Enforcement Professionals available as an ebook in our library.
Note on the three paper assignment series: This final assignment combines all that you wrote in the first two papers (they build on each other) for a total of 6-8 FULL pages of content (not including title and reference pages). The final paper is not 6-8 pages of completely new writing since this paper integrates what you wrote for the midterm assignment in week 3 (summarize that first 5-7 page midterm paper with 1-2 pages of content in this final paper), then add information from the progress assignment on collecting and analyzing on them (summarize that second 5-7 page progress paper with 1-2 more pages of content in this final paper as well) — making sure to improve that writing based on my feedback. Then add new information where you are making at least three recommendations (approx 1 page of new material for each of your recommendations).
Again, in plain terms, for this final paper, all you have to do is condense your two previous papers (as a research paper) and then make 3 recommendations on how to better stop attacks at the end.
Your paper must be at a MAXIMUM of 6-8 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit).
Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 scholarly sources per page of content.
Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space.
Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework.
Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.
All submissions will be graded using the attached rubric.

This week, you must propose two different menus with wine pairings, two specialty cocktails and proposed food (minimum two stations and circulated food) for cocktail hour for the Children’s Hospital Gala. Submit your menus to this Assignment folder.
Before you get started, we are going to review the ground rules:
Although Marjorie and Thomas will only choose one menu to move forward with, you must present them with two distinct menus from which to choose.
Each menu should contain at least five courses (this is for the dinner portion) as well as the cocktail hour reception which needs to include at minimum 2 stations and circulated food items.
Each course must have a different type of wine paired with it. (this is for the dinner portion only)
You may choose wines from the Centennial Square wine list or special order your wines from the LCBO.
Each menu should reflect and reinforce Marjorie and Thomas’s chosen theme, as well as their preferences, as discussed in your meeting.
Each course in the menu should be cohesive, work well together and flow naturally. No butter chicken followed by tacos!
To build your menus, start with Centennial Square’s Event Menu. However, depending on your theme, you might also need to use specialty food vendors. Although you may use any vendor or supplier you’d like, we have included a few great resources below.

Part 1 The workload in healthcare is increasing and the quality of healthcare is deteriorating as a result. By having social assistive robots to help nurses with their tasks or by taking them over, so essay help site:edu
By having social assistive robots to help nurses with their tasks or by taking them over, socially assistive robots can ease the workload of healthcare staff and it would give nurses more time to focus on individualised patient care and devising treatment plans.
Regarding the topic delineation, the focus will be on socially assistive robots that can help the nurses in hospitals by assisting them with tasks or by taking over their tasks. For example, by helping patients get into and out of bed, reminding patients when to take medication to provide emotional support and interaction for those lacking regular human contact, and assisting nurses with the multitude of tasks that they perform, such as taking blood, recording temperature, or improving patient hygiene. I will exclude surgical robots, cleaning robots, laboratory specimens, or transportation robots for sensitive material within a hospital environment.
Despite the advantages, care robots do not yet live up to the high expectations in care and robotization in long-term care is still in its infancy, according to research (AD, 2020). Several studies have already been performed on the diffusion of socially assistive robots. These studies discuss enablers such as relieving pressure on staff in healthcare, providing and receiving better care, and long-term cost savings (Papadopoulos et al., 2020). Moreover, barriers such as unemployment, lack of human contact, technical development, and high investment costs are known (Papadopoulos et al., 2020). However, a gap can be found in the literature, as no studies were found focusing on the innovation system regarding the technology. Moreover, performing a patent landscape analysis could be helpful to reveal business, scientific and technological trends. Based on these insights, recommendations can be provided to developers of socially assistive robots to promote the diffusion of the technology. Therefore, this thesis researches the diffusion of socially assistive robots with the aim to provide policy recommendations and suggestions for companies who are developing these types of robots.
The research question of this thesis is as follows: “How can the diffusion of socially assistive robots in hospitals be stimulated?” To answer the research question, two-subquestions have been formulated. The first sub-question is:
I: “What are the enablers and barriers that influence system innovation initiatives?”
Analyzing the technological innovation system can be helpful, as social assistive robots are an emerging technology, and the TIS analysis can identify possible bottlenecks for anchoring initiatives for system innovation on emerging technologies.
While the TIS analysis gives the possibility to formulate policy recommendations based on the innovation system, it is also relevant to analyze the patents of companies who are developing socially assistive robots, as these companies play a significant role in the development and thus diffusion of the technology. Performing a patent landscape analysis can be used to predict commercialization of new technologies (Pargaonkar, 2016) and support informed decision-making within firms by giving an overview of patent activities for a certain technology (WIPO, 2015). Moreover, performing a patent landscape analysis could be helpful to reveal business, scientific and technological trends. Based on these insights, recommendations can be provided to developers of socially assistive robots to promote the diffusion of the technology. Therefore, the second sub-question has been formulated as:
II: “What are implications for companies who are developing socially assistive robots based on the patent landscape?”
My thesis deals with both technology and people, as I will focus on socially assistive robots that are socially in contact with human patients. Moreover, the robots are in contact with the nurses by helping them with their tasks. My project fits the Innovation Sciences domain, as I will gain a deeper understanding of the enablers and barriers of the technology I focus on and how that development can be improved. Moreover, I will use analysis I learned during my studies and my track, such as the patent landscape analysis (Innovation Strategy and Policy).
To answer my research questions, I will perform a TIS analysis and patent landscape analysis. To collect data for the TIS analysis, I will perform a literature review using scientific data from e.g. Google Scholar, news articles and policy letters. I will base the enablers and barriers on the TIS system functions and the corresponding indicators and rate them with , , /-, -, –.
If possible, I will reach out to 3-4 managers from the field to discuss my preliminary results and the potential enablers and barriers to validate my research.
For the patent landscape analysis, I will use the Derwent Innovation Index, Microsoft Excel, and VOSviewer. I will analyze trends in patenting intensity, the inventors and assignees, geographic features, technical focus, citations, networks, Co-IPC codes, and co-citations. Based on the results of the analysis, I will formulate recommendations for companies that are developing social assistive robots.

SUMMARY PARAGRAPH ASSIGNMENT
Summarizing is an important skill to utilize when reading and writing. It can help you better understand what you have read while also helping you maintain the information longer because the ideas are put into your own words. It is an objective process free of our opinion. It shows that we as readers have truly “listened” to what the author writes. Being able to do this is an important skill because understanding what someone else has said shows respect. If we cannot do this, we are not respecting the author, and if we do not respect the author, how can we expect our own reader to respect us when we share our thoughts and opinions?
For this assignment, you will summarize the essay, “U Can’t Talk to Ur Professor Like This” by Molly Worthen starting on page 165 in our textbook. The paragraph must be objective, use attributive tags in each sentence to ensure your reader knows you are sharing the author’s thoughts and not your own, and it must follow proper summary paragraph guidelines:
-The first sentence contains the author, title, pages, and main idea of the assigned reading in one complete sentence.
-The following 6-8 sentences objectively sum up the main ideas presented in the full reading assignment using complete sentences. The sentences are ordered in the same order as the ideas are presented in the text.
-The last sentence identifies the author’s purpose for writing the text.
-You will earn extra points for using Tutoring Services and/or Smarthinking.
Study the rubric to learn how the paragraph will be graded:
-Contains basic elements of author, title, source, and overall main idea of text.
-Attributive tags use present tense verbs.
-All sentences have an attributive tag.
-All sentences are objective and without any opinion.
-Essay displays a developing style; diction reflects vivid, thoughtful choices. A variety of sentence structures are correctly used. No surface errors.
-Contains basic elements as well as mostly comprehensive of main ideas.
-May not have an attributive tag in each sentence.
-Attributive tags may not all have present tense verbs.
-No opinion used.
-The majority of sentences are clear and correct. May have a few errors—not enough to disrupt the reading.
-Summary misses one or two basic elements.
-Summary misses a main part of the text.
-Summary may have opinion.
-Poor attention to attributive tags.
-Errors begin to interfere with the readability.
-Summary misses several basic elements and/or
-Not completely objective.
-Missing key ideas.
-Significant number of errors detract from an understanding of the essay.

Assessment Description Physician Aid-in-Dying is a practice that is legal in a number of states within the United States due to the passing of the Death With Dignity Act. Additional reading is present on this legislation in the topic readings. Please make sure to research this topic prior to beginning this assignment, as you will need to apply this research to your paper. Case Study: Physician Aid-in-Dying in Portland, Oregon A 35-year-old male named Zachary Davis has lived in and been a legal resident of Portland for almost 20 years. In the fall of 2018, he began having terrible headaches. After months of suffering from these, Zachary made the decision to see his primary care provider. His provider decided that scans should be done to rule out anything serious before beginning treatment for what he thought was probably migraine headaches. Zachary had the routine scans and at 5:00 p.m. he received a call from his doctor with the results. Zachary was diagnosed with advanced-stage glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer, one of the deadliest brain tumors with a very low survival rate. Zachary immediately began an aggressive treatment. After 12 weeks of treatment, they saw no improvement in his condition. At that time, his doctors sat down with him to discuss options. He was given approximately 6 months to live, giving him the dreaded diagnosis of being terminally ill. They discussed hospice care and other end-of-life options. After surveying the options, Zachary expressed the wish to participate in Physician Aid-In-Dying. Considering all aspects of the Death With Dignity legislation that has been passed into law in Oregon, consider the following in a paper of 1,000-1,250 words: Does Zachary meet the requirements to take part in this practice? Why? Be detailed and specific in your evaluation of this practice. Considering Death With Dignity legislation, is mental health a component that is evaluated and considered? Do you support this aspect of the legislation? As we near the end of life it is often that a surrogate is put in place for our medical decisions. How does this work with the practice of Physician Aid-in-dying? What do you anticipate seeing in the future with this controversial practice in health care? Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required. This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion. You are required to submit this assignment to LopesWrite.
