Healthcare in US and Implement a Price Schedule for all medical and pharmacy services essay help online free: essay help online free

Professor Instructions:
Do the background research and explain what advocacy issues have done so far? What more is needed? At what level-‐ county, state, Federal? How much funding would be needed if at all? Or what would be the funding sources? What other stakeholders would be needed?

Topic of Choice: Healthcare/pharmacy costs in the US are getting more and more out of reach for patients. Patients with insurance are delaying care simply because cost of procedures are not transparent and not affordable. I would like to have a paper written advocating for a system similar to Japan’s (See Below)
Japan’s public healthcare system is known as SHI or Social Health Insurance. SHI applies to everyone who is employed full-time with a medium or large company. Approximately 5% is deducted from salaries to pay for SHI, and employers match this cost.
Everyone who does not qualify under SHI receives cover through the Japan National Health Insurance (NHI) plan. Those eligible for the NHI plan are self-employed individuals such as expats and digital nomads. It also extends to those who work for small businesses and unemployed people. The amount you pay into the NHI is based on your income.
In general, the government pays for 70% of healthcare costs associated with medical appointments, hospital visits, and even prescriiptions. Patients pay for the remaining 30% of the healthcare costs, which is better than paying for the total cost of medical service. However, this ratio may change in favor of the patient, depending on their income level.
The cost of medical appointments and hospital visits is determined by a government committee that includes physicians among its members. Every two years, fees are adjusted based on the committee’s recommendations. This allows the government to respond appropriately to changes in the economy to ensure healthcare remains affordable.
Japan’s 47 regions are responsible for implementing the rules, regulations, and fees schedule. They also have the flexibility to establish their local budget to reflect and respond to regional health concerns.
The regional municipalities also administer “nursing care.” This service costs an additional 2% contribution required of citizens over 40. This cost covers the expenses associated with long-term care and nursing homes.
Adjusting the schedule fee also prevents physician fraud and over-recommending certain services to claim the associated fee. If the committee determines that particular tests are being over-recommended, it will drop the cost of that test to make it less lucrative to the prescribing physician.

Powerpoint Slide: Design a pamphlet or brochure to disseminate your advocacy message. What is the designated audience? What infographics will you use? How presentable is your brochure to attract interest?

Social and human services assistants often work collaboratively with other helping professionals to provide wrap-around services for clients in Essay best essay help: best essay help

Social and human services assistants often work collaboratively with other helping professionals to provide wrap-around services for clients in need and to later evaluate how well the services worked for the client. Such complex tasks require that each person understands the knowledge base and scope of responsibility for each of the other professionals on the team. By “professional” we mean someone who possesses technical or advanced knowledge of a field and who complies with an agreed-upon set of ethical standards. Advanced knowledge usually means that the professional has pursued post-secondary education and has a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree. Also, many states monitor competency standards, which require that individuals pass a licensure exam to practice. Examples of such professions include nursing, medicine, law, therapy, teaching, and counseling. Other fields offer credentialing as a way of measuring competency, which may help in finding employment but is not legally required. Professionals organize themselves into groups referred to as “associations” or “organizations” that hold national and regional-level meetings so that members can present papers and research and network with one another. The association or organization also represents the political interests of the members by lobbying state and federal legislators.

To help build your competency in understanding the requirements and duties of other helping professions, you will write a well-developed, 1500-word report that compares and contrasts Social and Human Services Assistants with any two of the following professions: Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, School Counselors, or Psychologists. Your essay should describe and discuss responsibilities or duties, education for entry-level and advanced work, professional standards and competencies (including ethical standards, licensure, or credentialing requirements), and typical work settings. This assignment also helps you develop the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources in a consistent manner.

post two responses to the ideas contained in two of your classmate’s posts of at least 150 words each. They should be insightful and substantial and not judge or evaluate your classmate’s post. For example: “Good job,” or “Great post” is not appropriate here.

first post:
Deep reading is defined as an active process of thoughtful and deliberate reading done to enhance one’s comprehension and enjoyment of a text. I honestly do not have much experience with deep reading. When I think of deep reading I think back to high school where I had to annotate books and then turn them in. I honestly do not believe I am a deep thinker. The question I usually get is when authors are writing books do they purposely have second meanings to the things they write or is it what random people interpret? For example for the book Great Gatsby, there are symbols like the green light(which represents his dreams and hopes) or Gatsby’s mansion(represents grandness and emptiness of the 1920s boom). When the author was writing the novel was he analyzing his own book deeply and knew that the green light and mansion were symbols or were they symbols because people who deeply read it and analyzed it. If I ever read a book willingly I believe I don’t deeply read it because I don’t find a need to and I also believe it takes longer. Due to the digital age, I believe I have a very short attention span and I get bored extremely easily which is why I do not deeply read. However, it can be enjoyable as it makes you use your attentional skills making you thoughtful and fully aware. Whenever I am reading books where I don’t have to annotate sometimes I skim through it because it is easier and I get the main idea. In high school, I have written a few analytical essays on books we have read in class. Although I don’t deep read a lot, I can see that there are many benefits to it. It allows you to discover how we are all connected to the world and to our evolving stories. You can also find your own plots and stories unfolding through the language and voice of others.

Another example would be when I would read poems and have to deeply analyze those. I believe poems are way more difficult than books because they are shorter. They also have different types of structures like haiku, sonnet, epics, free verse, etc. Also, poems are harder to understand because it has the same message however with compression of information is very few words. This requires the reader to pay attention to small details. I usually struggle with doing this because I tend to overlook details. I also believe that it is harder when some authors use big words. I also forget that sometimes authors have double meanings to their work. It is important when reading poems to pay attention to the symbols, unfamiliar words, general tone, allusions, capital letters, etc.

However, I strongly believe that these skills are something that can become easier over time and with practice. Just like how practicing a sport can make you better at it, the same goes for deep thinking or analytical writing. Sometimes if I read a book for fun, I overthink and start to analyze parts in books because of how my mind was previously trained from English class, etc. When you start to look at deep reading as a fun task rather than a chore it can become way more fun and like a brain teaser.

second post:
For me, the skills deep reading and analytical writing happened very gradually, and were initially introduced to me in the classroom. At first, when I would be assigned short fiction and poems to read and analyze for a grade, I would find it exceedingly difficult to write anything resembling the thoughts of someone who has “deep read.” Yes, I was an avid reader, but it was reading of a recreational and escapist kind. My book preferences were those of YA fantasy or science fiction novels, with tropes that could be expected and a satisfying conclusion to the hero’s story. I still enjoy those kinds of books, and I think having an outlet in which to escape from everyday life without having to think too hard over the content is very important in our modern world. After all, considering there are schedules to follow and countless noisy humans I must interact with, it is nice to be able to partially turn off my brain and succumb to an easy, enjoyable read. To have a day off and sit on the couch, letting the hours pass me by as I read sometimes 500 pages (doing my best to finish a book in one sitting even if it meant starting at 9:00 AM and staying up until 3:00 AM the next day) was a luxury I enjoyed often through grade school, though regrettably don’t have time for now.

Though deep reading when it was for school assignments frustrated me (at first), I simultaneously found that I enjoyed it when I noticed that there were deeper meanings and “hidden messages” in the books I read extracurricularly. At that point, I still enjoyed reading books where most information was on the surface and easily accessible, but I started appreciating little nuances and having to interpret what the author intended to say based on context clues alone. As I read more books in class that required deep reading, and thus practiced deep reading, the more often I found myself analyzing the books I picked up “for fun.” I noticed the different ways the characters talked, how their personalities influenced their actions, and how little details in the story that I previously would have brushed off could be interpreted symbolically, whether the author meant it to be or not. When I became more fascinated and attentive to the small details of the more “escapist” books I enjoyed, I found myself more and more wanting to read something that meant something.

Particularly in my final years of high school and on to college, I found that I appreciated and even enjoyed books that were more complex and gave me that “mental workout.” Analyzing a book became a fun puzzle instead of something I was only doing for a grade. As someone who has always had an interest in storytelling, seeing how an author could incorporate themes and symbolism within their work (and that I could find more and more of them the closer I read) became a fun game of sorts that rewarded me with engaging conversations with other people who also read the story. It was interesting to learn about what messages we agreed on, and what we interpreted differently (and why), and overall enhanced my reading experience because I felt as if I learned something about the world or the author. I even began enjoying writing analytical papers on stories—something I once dreaded! (Though, they are still challenging.) I look forward to further improving upon my skills of deep reading and analytical writing in this class, as it is a skill I would like to hone.

When people read, hear, or prepare research summaries, they sometimes have misconceptions about what is or isn’t “sound practice” college essay help

When people read, hear, or prepare research summaries, they sometimes have misconceptions about what is or isn’t “sound practice” regarding the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data. Here are some more of these common (and dangerous)
misconceptions.

Choose 3 of the following misconceptions and discuss.

1)If reliability is high, then validity most likely is high as well.
2)If Researcher A uses a test that Researcher B built a year ago and documented as being reliable, then Researcher A can use that test today and have full confidence that it will be reliable for him/her too.

3)High test-retest reliability implies high internal consistency reliability, and vice versa.
4)If Larry’s IQ score is 4 points higher than Mary’s IQ score, then we have a legitimate right to say that Larry is more intelligent than Mary.

5)Test-retest reliability remains fairly stable regardless of how much time passes between the test and the retest.

6)The “criterion” in criterion-related validity is a numerical cut-off that is used to determine whether a measuring instrument is or isn’t valid.

7)Discriminant validity is documented best by correlation coefficients that are near – 1.00.

8)A study’s findings should be considered to be valid if that study’s data are shown to have high reliability and validity.

9)The typical researcher spends as much time considering how to collect data as he/she does considering how to analyze data.

10)Kendall’s coefficient of concordance (W) would turn out equal to the mean of the various rs values if Spearman’s rho is computed for each pair of things being ranked.

Write an essay in which you explain how Peter Funt builds an argument to persuade his audience that the essay help online free

Write an essay in which you explain how Peter Funt builds an argument to persuade his audience that the digital age is making it more difficult to preserve one’s memories.
In your essay, analyze how Funt uses one or more of the features in the directions that precede the passage (or features of your own choosing) to strengthen the logic and persuasiveness of his argument. Be sure that your analysis focuses on the most relevant features of the passage.
Your essay should not explain whether you agree with Funt’s claims, but rather it should explain how Funt builds an argument to persuade his audience.

It is about this text:

This is the text it should be about:DOES ANYONE COLLECT OLD EMAILS?” BY PETER FUNT

For more than a century, baseball fans in Chicago have saved ticket stubs to preserve memories, both fond and frustrating, of their beloved Cubbies.

Some Cubs’ tickets — like one from the 1932 World Series in which Babe Ruth is said to have “called his shot” before homering for the Yankees — are worth thousands. But most, sitting in drawers or pasted into scrapbooks, are valuable simply as physical links to the past.

That’s over. This season the Cubs have joined more than a dozen other Major League teams in eliminating paper tickets in favor of digital versions, downloaded to apps and displayed on phones.

And so ticket stubs join theater playbills, picture postcards, handwritten letters and framed photos as fading forms of preserving our memories. It raises the question, Is our view of the past, of our own personal history, somehow different without hard copies?

When my mother died a few years ago, we sifted through albums and shoe boxes in which she had lovingly archived her children’s lives. Handwritten report cards from grade school. News clippings of Little League games. Postcards from summer camp. And so many photos: birthdays, graduations, weddings, trips to wonderful places.

Mom was not a hoarder. She was typical of a generation that found it pleasing to keep memories alive by retaining hard copies. Not that she had much choice: She never owned a computer or cellphone.

After my father’s death, in 1999, I saved a folder of handwritten condolence letters from his friends and colleagues. Rereading them once or twice a year, I am transported back to times I miss so much. Of course, I received many emails about Dad as well — but I wouldn’t begin to know how or where to find them. Besides, personal messages are so much more meaningful when presented in the hand of the sender.

My two kids, now in their 20s, have mostly digital keepsakes. Increasingly they rely on Facebook and the cloud to store memories. Their letters from college, sent by email, are long gone. Many photos, never printed, have disappeared. I worry that for them, personal history already doesn’t reach back as far as it should.

Researchers know that of the two primary forms of accessing memory, recognition and recall, the former is a simpler and more reliable process. It is the association of a physical object with something previously encountered or experienced. This could be because tangible memories utilize all five senses, evoking emotional triggers and transporting us back to a precise time, place or moment.

In his new book, “Digital Memory Studies,” Andrew Hoskins, a professor of social science at the University of Glasgow, concludes: “Despite the decay and wear and tear of photographs, letters and other objects that are reminders of people and past experiences, their keeping is like holding on to those people and experiences.” Digital items offer nothing of the kind.

In my youth I collected things. I kept baseball cards in cigar boxes. I carefully slipped pennies into slots in cardboard sleeves and pasted stamps into an album. As my interest in journalism grew, I maintained a thick scrapbook of newspaper front pages. And yes, I still have a cherished batch of Broadway playbills and ticket stubs from games at Yankee Stadium.

This kind of collecting — not just accumulating but, to use a trendy term in its analog sense, curating — is likewise different when it involves the physical.

Mark B. McKinley, a psychologist who teaches at Lorain Community College in Ohio, explained in The National Psychologist that collecting physical memorabilia is a form of “experimenting with arranging and classifying” elements of our world. This, he says, “can serve as a means of control to elicit a comfort zone in one’s life, e.g., calming fears, erasing insecurity.” It’s no wonder children are fond of collecting things — it’s critical to their mental and emotional development.

I looked at several parenting websites to see what children collect nowadays. One mother’s note from Kentucky caught my eye: “My son collects Lego sets, Bionicles, Mario figurines and lumps of broken concrete.”

It would be easy to knock the concrete collection, but I actually find it kind of cool. The kid might become a great geologist or a successful contractor.

But will his mom print out a photo of that unique collection? Will his degree in geology be memorialized on paper, or will he be given a digital diploma? Will he frame his first contractor’s paycheck or will he be paid by direct deposit? And if he ever makes it to Wrigley Field, will he find a way to remember the ballgame without a ticket stub?

This assessment will take the form of a 3,500-4,000 word research literature survey on a chosen topic.

What to look for in the abstract:
1. What is the purpose of this article’s research?
2. What method or approach did the author’s use for the research in this article?
3. What are the results or findings of the research of this article?
4. Sum up the conclusion of the authors’ findings as mentioned in this abstract.

Introduction: The purpose of a research literature survey is to summarize and organize a body of primary research literature published in academic journals. The objective is to present an integrated overview or perspective on a given topic and present patterns found through a systematic search of the recent research literature by identifying themes and trends.
Through this process you will acquaint yourself with the various types of research pursuits in a particular domain of applied linguistics and communication and bring into focus your own research interests. At the same time, the skills acquired through this exercise will serve as a foundation for the detailed reading of the research literature you will be expected to do for your other modules as you progress through the programme. You will develop information search and organization skills and become familiar with the formal properties of research reported in journal articles. It will facilitate the development of a focused area of interest from the range of topics currently being explored in applied linguistics and communication.

Background: For many students, academic study previously involved reading secondary sources, textbooks or review chapters that summarize large bodies of research and their theoretical significance. In postgraduate study and research, primary sources of research evidence become crucially important. This coursework assessment provides students with the opportunity to survey the primary research literature–academic research journal articles–and review the current research trends in one of the sub-disciplines of applied linguistics and communication. The outcome of this will aid students in identifying the relevant sources of research in a particular area, and in becoming aware of the topical concerns of current researchers.

Details of the Assignment: You must first define a topic of interest to serve as the focus of your survey. This must be chosen from the areas of staff research in this department. You are required to locate current articles from academic journals publishing research in your chosen topic area. You will inspect published articles only from the last five years. Read only the abstracts of the articles (typically provided directly after the title and authors but sometimes at the end.) Close reading of the actual articles is not expected or necessary. The objective is to develop a focused and coherent topic of research and to become acquainted with the nature of research practice in a particular strand of applied linguistics and communication. As this is a literature survey rather than a critical review of the literature, you are not expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of particular research findings. This second stage will be developed in future modules.

While carrying out your survey, focus on details provided in the article abstracts referring to what the object of the study was and how the research was carried out. The goal is to present an overview of a body of research focused on one topic or area of inquiry and the current methods used to investigate this.

Choosing a topic: One of the challenges this assignment presents is how to define and limit your topic to select representative papers from within a research area. In using electronic database searches through the Birkbeck elibrary you may initially identify a very large number of articles on your topic, but the task is to present a focused picture of the work on a well-defined topic of investigation. Careful selection of key words for refining searches and determination of a coherent set of articles will be an important step.

Writing the survey: The written presentation of your survey will have an introduction which sets out the topic. This may refer to some foundational literature and definitions of key terms. You should include a brief descriiption of the search procedures you used to select relevant research literature, as well as any rationale for the inclusion/exclusion of particular material. The body of the essay will present a summary of the emerging notable patterns and commonalties found in the literature. It will provide a synthesis of current research interests and concerns in your chosen topic. You are expected to identify key ideas and methodological approaches, and use these to develop themes which will structure your presentation of the material. Your essay will present this in an organized, integrated and coherent manner to provide a general picture of the research landscape that currently exists in your chosen area.

A note on attributing sources: All sources must be cited in the text and referenced in the bibliography. Please note plagiarism is the most common form of examination offence. Students may risk committing plagiarism unintentionally because they fail to understand what the university considers plagiarism. All students are required to familiarize themselves with Birkbeck’s code of practice on plagiarism and complete the plagiarism online tutorial before submission. Details can be found in the module booklet and on your programme moodle shell.
Submission: Please save your assessment using a file name that identifies the topic you are writing about. The first page should contain your title which identifies the topic and the word count.

Your Research Methods and Design assessment should align with the general topics taught or researched in our department.

Please pick a topic either based on a module you are taking or the staff interests shown below.
Your essay does not need to cite research done by our faculty specifically, but should be in line with a general sub-discipline of interest. You could try entering some of the keywords below in your initial literature search.

Working on your literature survey:

The Originality Report will help you to avoid plagiarism and improve the quality and content of your essay. It is strongly suggested that you keep direct quotations to a minimum, and never copy and paste text without proper citations.
