You are an operations manager for New Foods Company. The company manufactures organic versions of common food items, such as cookies and bread. New Foods has built a reputation for good taste and quality in its products and has developed partnerships with several health food retailers. An opportunity exists to expand into a traditional grocery store chain with a new partnership. This opportunity will require increased production. However, your firm has not previously sold its products in this channel and uncertainty exists about the volume of new product sales that may result.
The executive leadership team of New Foods Company wants to grow the firm and it has been working with the local government on potential tax credits for creating new jobs in the area. The leadership team has also identified a commercial bank that will provide loans for any plant and equipment purchases. An overarching goal of the leadership team is to maintain product quality and the brand’s reputation.
Three options for increasing production have been identified.
The first option is to purchase and refurbish a manufacturing plant location in a nearby town that has been closed for several years. Equipment to operate this plant would also have to be acquired. The location is large enough to build production for the expected volume and have excess space to accommodate growth of 200% in the future. This refurbished location could be operational in 12 months.
The second option is to lease capacity from another food manufacturing firm that does not make its own branded products but operates as a co-manufacturer for others. This firm currently has enough available capacity for the expected volume, but not to increase above that level. This production process could be operational in 3 months.
The third option is to expand your existing plant location by purchasing adjacent land and constructing a new building. Equipment to operate this expansion would also have to be acquired. The land is large enough to build production for the expected volume and have excess space to accommodate growth of 50% in the future. This new location could be operational in 18 months.
Using the financial data provided in the Excel files attached, calculate a net present value, internal rate of return, and payback period for each option.
Prepare a PowerPoint presentation that summarizes the calculated results from the financial analysis and provides the key operational and strategic points for each option. One slide must be a ranked list of the three project options. Include a justification of which financial metrics and non-financial data were prioritized for ranking the three options.
Submit the Excel file with the completed calculations and the PowerPoint presentation.

Scientific Method Exercise — 10% of your grade
You are required to complete a scientific method worksheet/table which outlines the standard steps social science researchers must take in conducting good research. Complete both columns of the table by adding as many rows as you need to. Save the table as a MS WORD document, and submit it to your Assignment Tab by the end of Week 3. Column 1 asks you to name each steps in the Scientific Method, and Column 2 asks you to explain the purpose of each step. Good references to consult when completing this table are the Hunt and Colander text that some of you may have used in BEHS 210 (chapter 1) and you can also search the Internet for “Steps in the Scientific Method.” The Hunt and Colander text discusses 9 steps in the Scientific Method whereas the number of steps found on other web sites may vary because some collapse the 9 steps used by Hunt and Colander. You can also use the class textbook: 2012 Social Science Research: Principles, Methods, and Practices by Anol Bhattacherjee

Component 1: Submission of your choice of presentation topic, intended grade, and activity
For the term project, you will need to chose a topic directly related to environmental or occupational health (EOH), While this leaves you a fairly big field to choose from, YOU MAY NOT choose any of the following as topics (i.e., think “appropriateness” when choosing a topic):
Handwashing (too easy- too common)
Drug or Addiction-related Topics
Sexual Activity or STD related Topics
Some topics that students have chosen in the past are:
Air pollution (Indoor, Outdoor)
Florida Red Tide
Surface and Ground Water Quality
Water Safety and Importance of Conservation
Pollution and Coral Reefs
Once you have selected your topic, you must choose a grade to which you will present, and also think of a hands-on activity in which the students can participate. The hands-on activity should be something that the entire class can engage in. Worksheets, Kazoo quizzes, coloring sheets, and/or crossword puzzles are not considered “hands-on.” You want to choose an activity where the students interact with each other, get to handle or make something – or see something changing, and/or move around and is age-appropriate. You should also consider student safety and cleanup in selecting an activity – now is not the time to demonstrate setting off fire-extinguishers.
Your topic, intended age or grade, and planned activity should be submitted into Canvas

With COVID many things have changed. Read the three rules and state if this has changed or not in your place of work.
With COVID how is this changing and what can you do differently?
1. Pay attention to names
Names are one of the first pieces of information that we learn about someone. It is how people recognize and address you. When you tell others your name, include your last name. This is especially important if you have a common first name like Ashley or John. When you first meet someone, pay attention to their name. If you aren’t sure how to pronounce it, be sincere and ask. If it is an unusual or difficult to pronounce name, the person is probably used to it and won’t mind. It shows that you have taken an interest in them and care about getting it right. Don’t carelessly butcher their name or invent a nickname. Call people what they want to be called.
Remembering names can be challenging, especially if you meet multiple people at one time. One trick that you can use is to identify a characteristic that helps you differentiate them. Another is to repeat their name and try to use it in your conversation 3 to 4 times, but not so frequently that it is obvious.
2. Greet everyone
Greeting the people that you come in contact with isn’t only polite but it establishes rapport. You never know who the people that you greeted could be, so it is important to greet everyone with the same degree of kindness. A simple “Hi, how are you?” or even a smile and nod is enough. However, adding more could make them remember you and view you as friendly and pleasant. It can also strike up conversation. Be considerate though. If they appear to be in a rush or not interested at the moment, don’t force a conversation on them.
Some ways to strike up a conversation could be to:
Compliment something that they are wearing and ask where they found it.
Remark on your surroundings. This can be anything ranging from the weather to a book they are holding or the office space.
The key is to ask open-ended questions that will require more than a “yes” or “no” and move the conversation along.
3. Offer a handshake and make eye contact
Handshakes are the universal business greeting. A firm handshake is still considered a positive trait. A weak one is negative. Usually, the higher ranking person will offer their hand first, but if they don’t, you can still offer yours. Make eye contact when you shake their hand and smile. Those who avert their eyes are viewed as lacking confidence and honesty.

Prompt Research the nature of your small group’s topic and the various positions different countries have taken on the essay help
Research the nature of your small group’s topic and the various positions different countries have taken on the issue. Using your research, compose a paper based on your assigned/chosen country’s position on your topic following the guidelines below.
What is a position paper?
The purpose of a position paper is to outline your country’s stance on a particular issue. These papers should be written more like a speech than like a research paper or book report. This means that it’s acceptable (and encouraged!) to be biased in the same way a delegate from your assigned country would be – just be sure to back up your claims.
You will be presenting your paper as a 1-2 minute speech next week in your small group as groups begin in-class debate.
Papers must be submitted in 12pt. double-spaced Times New Roman with one-inch margins.
Papers must be properly cited in one of two ways:
using correct inline Chicago-style citations (with an optional concluding bibliography), or
using correct inline MLA-style citations (with a required concluding Works Cited page).
Papers should include roughly three sources. Uncited papers will receive a failing grade.
Your completed paper should be about 1.5 to 2 pages long, not including your bibliography or Works Cited.
Your paper should also adhere to formal Model UN writing guidelines and refrain from first-person references: you must refer to yourself as “this delegate”, “the delegate of “, or similar.
Here’s an example of what the content of your position paper should resemble, content-wise. You might also want to refer to the rubric for this assignment at the bottom of the page.
For the purposes of this assignment, you can copy this header:
Committee: General Assembly
Topic: Your Committee’s Topic Here
Country: The Full Name Of Your Country Here
Delegate: Your Name
In this section, you must refer to your country, and other countries, by their fully-qualified names. For example, say the People’s Republic of China instead of China and the United States of America instead of the United States. (This guideline should also be adhered to in the body of your position paper, but as long as your intention and writing is clear, it’s not really necessary.)
In this section, you should describe a contextual history of the problem that answers most of the following questions:
What, in the context of your country, is the nature of the problem? (Who’s involved? Since when? Where is it happening?)
Why, in the context of your country, is the problem happening, and who’s responsible?
Why is this problem important enough for it to be discussed, or for your country to take a position on it? (Additionally, are there any trends or conditions that have caused the problem to persist?)
Note that you should not detail your country’s position outright in this section, though it would be appropriate to allude to it in the perspective you take when describing the issue.
To this end, we recommend using statistics from the United Nations, NGOs, or other bodies.
In this section, you should answer the following questions:
What has the United Nations done (e.g. resolution or international law) in response to this issue? Do any of these responses impact your country? Has the response (or lack thereof) accomplished anything?
Has any other inter/national body acted (e.g. resolution, law, military action) in response to this issue? Do any of these responses impact your country? Has the response (or lack thereof) accomplished anything?
In this section, you should describe your country’s position and any action your country has taken on the issue, including any UN resolutions or programs your country is party to, any laws or social programs or military action undertaken in response to or impacting the issue, and the impact the aforementioned has had on the issue.
This section should describe an original, realistic solution to the issue that your country could propose that can be implemented by the United Nations. Generally, you’ll want to:
expand or revise an existing domestic program,
expand or revise an existing UN resolution, mandate, or program, or
expand or revise another country’s existing or proposed solution.
In this section, we’re not looking for a point-by-point policy on how to approach the issue. Aim for a general framework for an original solution that has a realistic chance of changing the playing field. (Your solution doesn’t need to be revolutionary, but it also needs to be more specific than “send more aid”.)

Hi there, I was caught stealing from a small business in Mammoth California. I have to do 80 hours of community service and need to do an essay for the courts which is around 3 pages long, on the harmful effects of shoplifting. Shedding light on both how it affects the person who stealing and how they get addicted and then how it affects the economy and the shop you steal from- just as some ideas. Please feel free to talk about any other points such as Consumers will have to pay higher prices for products to compensate for the loss of revenue from shoplifted products, Security measures may have to be increased at stores, creating a less inviting environment for customers and decreasing the ability of a shop to connect with customers, It can lead to loss of community jobs if the store is forced to shut down, The loss of local and state tax revenue can lead to higher taxes for everyone, There is an added load to police and court systems when dealing with shoplifters, There can be a financial and emotional strain on families who have members who are prosecuted with shoplifting. Perhaps also a paragraph on how I regret it, and how its effected my self esteem how others see me, and how I feel so bad, and I was clearly addicted to the high even though I could afford to buy the items. Thank you please ensure it stays on track as the courts topic was “write a essay on the harmful effects of shoplifting”.

The quality of the occupancy forecasts produced by the RNAADR program depends on the quality of the inputs. A strong analyst can perform the necessary preparatory work to produce defensible assumptions and inform a useful market analysis.
Earlier, we considered some of the nuances of three steps in the forecasting process and now we will consider Step 5. In this step, we quantify the market area’s total guest room supply, the total room nights available, the accommodatable latent demand, and the total usable demand. As part of this step, you must account for potential new supply in the market.
Create a post that answers the following questions:
1. What information do you need to analyze new supply and how might you obtain this information?
2. How should you account for planned new hotels?
3. How might you adjust projections based on potential increases in supply that may occur later in the projection period?
In your post, include at least three different sources for your assumptions about new supply and provide specific detail on how you would defend your assumptions against possible objections.

We began our semester with a discussion of sport as performative public discourse. Drawing on ideas from Plato, Aristotle, argumentative essay help: argumentative essay help
We began our semester with a discussion of sport as performative public discourse. Drawing on ideas from Plato, Aristotle, Kenneth Burke, Richard Weaver, and Chäim Perelman, we sketched out ways in which sport functions as a form of rhetoric, a constructed public discourse in which rules establish preferred values and behaviors and the actions of athletes become proofs or examples of those behaviors in action. Sports build discourses of praise and blame from the athlete’s actions, discourses that work to modify the behavior of the audience; to get the audience to see the goals of the sport as having moral purpose, to identify with the praised actions of the athletes and embrace them, ultimately, to act in manners consistent with the values praised in athletic performance.
Your first paper is a think piece. You are to examine your favorite sport as performative public discourse. You are to identify one well-known rule from that sport. You are then to offer at least one illustration of a story from the last two years (2020-2022) in which an athlete succeeded or failed to fulfill this rule and was praised or blamed for doing so. You are to find at least one story on popular media that covered the story (this could be newspaper, magazine, popular blogs or podcasts). You are to show how the story used the athlete’s actions as a proof or example demonstrating something praiseworthy or blameworthy. You are then to draw conclusions from the story regarding what readers are supposed to see as right/wrong and the values they are motivated to embrace (e.g. a story in which it is praiseworthy to “win at all costs” would represent a much different value scheme from a story in which it was praiseworthy to “lose by playing the game fairly and not cheating”).
Papers must be three pages in length and have a minimum of three cited references. Papers will be graded on clarity of argument, application of class theory, and writing quality. Papers with excessive errors in spelling or grammar (over fifteen) will be returned to the author for a rewrite. Rewritten papers will lose a letter grade and the authors will receive a zero for the assignment until the rewritten papers are handed in.

YOU MUST COMPLETE THIS TO PASS THIS CLASS.
Instructions are important documents in the real world. They are a way companies can connect to their customers, and they structure the way individuals do their jobs. Having correct and detailed instructions can also help ensure everyone does the same thing for the same task, providing consistency. They can show people performing tasks how to do so safely and effectively.
Unfortunately, instructions are often the worst-written documents we encounter: they miss steps, fail to orient the reader to important tools or concepts, assume too much or explain too much, and generally confuse a reader who is already unfamiliar with the task.
Writing instructions is harder than it seems, but more important than we assume.
For this assignment, you will produce a set of written instructions for a task of your choosing. Your instructions will be designed for users who have not necessarily worked through the process that you are describing. Your instructions must include both text and visuals and should allow even novice users to move successfully through your selected step-by-step process.
Your final instructions should:
Be 250 – 500 words long
Include 5 individual steps
Include 5 accompanying images
You should not be copying your steps from a source—these should be your own steps to complete a task.
Be 12 pt, Times New Roman font, 1-inch margins, double spaced.
This project will be both an exercise in writing effective instructions as well as clear document design that makes effective use of headings, bullets, lists, body text, and image placement.
Some sample tasks include:
cropping and resizing images in Photoshop
how to test soil
scanning with an HP scanner
how to make beeswax candles
building a campfire
Some tips on choosing a task:
Choose a task you are reasonably familiar with. If you are a novice, you might miss steps and mislead the reader unknowingly.
Choose a task with specific steps that aren’t based on technique. “How to sink a free throw” or “how to ballroom dance” are interesting topics, but a reader’s success will depend on form, not function.
Choose something appropriately complex. “How to fix a blister” involves too few steps for an effective project.
